If the enemy team has no maeiv I shall play normally.

Edit: To clarify, I will not be attempting to throw my games, I will simply have a priority target. No MAiev in the fight = I will still attack other players.

God I'm so happy. It worked so well. Hundreds of games in bronze and i've never seen it happen.

We steamrolled the opponent of course.

I just told someone to take the bot lane in tomb of the spider queen because it's far, and everyone else rotate as 4. And they actually did it!

Huge tip to level as fast as possible on new hero release days

On new hero release days there is 100% on random select for quick match (usually). To take advantage of this 100% xp bonus and level as fast as possible, simply put the closest 5 heroes to leveling in your favorites,no more no less, and que random select with favorites only!

This will make it que one of your closest 5 heroes to level, while giving 100% xp bonus on top of any other stim pack or friend bonuses! As soon as you level a hero, replace it with the next closest to your favorites. With stim pack, 5 friend party, and random select you get 275% bonus xp

Get those lunar loot boxes faster :)

The ability effects for Maiev's alternate skin are confusing in color blind mode

The color looks exactly the same as the enemy danger zone effects(for example: D.Va's Mech explosion radius). Every time a teammate casts their abilities it looks like areas that should be avoided when they're actually from a teammate. It's especially confusing in QM where there might a Maiev on the enemy team as well as my team, and the enemy default Maiev effects are bluish instead.

Anyone else lagging severely?

I was able to play a couple of ranked games today then out of nowhere my ping skyrockets to 3k ms. My internet was/is fine so I think to just leave it but I just checked the looking glass and my ping is still high. Any ideas?

No firewall and no antivirus.

Mountain Giant Hero Concept.

Monty, son of Kazum

Monty is a Mountain Giant, son of Baron Kazum. After greedy adventurers defeated Baron Kazum, The Earth Mother swallowed his body, but a piece of his giant stone heart was still alive, it started to grow under terrain and soon it became a small giant. But he was too weak to walk on the surface. He traveled underground and keep growing with every year, he was gathering a lot of experience and exploring the Kalimdor. Inside the Un'Goro Crater he gained ability to manage magma and fire power of the earth. In Winterspring he learned how to control ice and frost. He was in Barrens while The Shattering was happening, it hardened him, the power of Deathwing, the former Earth-Warden, gave him enough strength to rise and walk on the surface, as his father once did.

SYNOPSIS

Monty is a melee warrior that can choose at level one, before talent picks, if he wants to become a Mountain Giant, a Molten Giant or a Frost Giant. This choice will reflect on his Trait. After you activate your Trait your allies can click on you to gain bonus effects depending on your chosen trait. Depending Trait you can be more Defensive (Mountain), Supportive (Frost) or Aggressive (Molten).

He can combine his abilities to gain more value. You can throw [W] Boulder, then [Q] Grab(works kinda like Dehaka's Drag + Diablo's Shadow Charge, but you cannot turn around like D'Va's while using Defence Matrix) a Hero and throw him into this Boulder to gain more damage. Also you can explode [W] Boulder if you hit it with your [E] Roll to deal Area Damage. He can save allies, help allies engage or isolate enemies by [R1]Carrying where he wants or Zone an large area using [R2]Fortification.

ALL VALUES ARE EXEMPLARY AND CAN BE CHANGED DUE TO BALANCE PURPOSES.

BASE STATS at level 1

HP 3190

Mana 500

AA Dmg 260

AA Speed 0.50

AA Range 2.0

TRAIT

You can choose your trait before level 1 talents.

[D] Activate to allow Allied Heroes click you (Each Hero can use it once per activation.) to gain positive effects depending of your chosen trait. 2 Charges.

  • [D] - Mountain Giant. Trait - Stone Shield. [Cooldown: 30 sec] Activate to allow allied Heroes to take a piece of you to gain Stone Shield that absorbs 400 damage, slow movement and attack speed of enemies that attack them by 25%. Lasts for 3 seconds. Passive: Your Basic Attacks and Abilities slow movement and attack speed of enemies by 15% for 2 sec.

  • [D] - Molten Giant. Trait - Fiery Weapon. [Cooldown: 30 sec] Activate to allow allied Heroes to deep their weapon/hands inside you to gain Fiery Weapon buff that makes their next 2 attacks with any source of damage deal 50 bonus damage as spell damage. Passive: All your attacks and abilities deal bonus 100 spell damage and ignite your enemies make them vulnerable reducing their armor by 5% for 2 sec.

  • [D] - Frost Giant. Trait - Mending Fresh. [Cooldown: 30 sec] Activate to allow allied Heroes to lick you and heal for 350 health. Passive: When your allies stand near you they regenerate 20 health per second and gain 5 Armor.

BASIC ABILITIES

  • [Q] - Grab [Cooldown: 12 sec] You grab the first Hero in front of you, deal 100 damage and stun him for 1 sec. Reactivate the ability while the Hero in your hand to throw him into a terrain, if he impacts with impassable terrain he suffers for an additional 100 damage and stunned for an additional 0.5 sec.

  • [W] - Boulder [Cooldown: 12 sec] Pick up a piece of earth under your feet and throw it into your enemies dealing 150 damage to enemies near the impact. After landing the boulder creates impassable terrain for 2.5 seconds.

  • [E] - Roll [Cooldown: 14 sec] You transform into a boulder and roll forward in a straight line hitting all enemies in a line for 75 damage and knocking them away, if you hit the boulder, you stop rolling and it explodes and deal 75 damage to all enemies around it. You are unstoppable during Roll.

HEROICS

  • [R1] - Carry [Cooldown: 60 sec] Pick up an ally or enemy Hero and carry him under your arm for 5 seconds. The Hero is immune to damage, can attack and use abilities, but does only 50% damage. You cannot use Basic Abilities while carrying. Reactivate to release the Hero.

  • [R2] - Fortification [Cooldown: 60 sec] Become rooted and start to throw rocks at enemies, gain 50 Armor and unstoppable, you are unable to move, your Basic Attacks gain 500% (from 2 to 12) bonus attack range. Duration: 9 seconds. You cannot use Basic Abilities during Fortification. Reactivate to cancel.

MOUNT

  • [Z] - Stomping - Cannot use mounts. After 5 seconds of continuous moving, your movement speed starts increase by 3% per second stacking up to 5 times. This effect last for 3 seconds after you stop moving and it can be refreshed by moving. Taking damage from Heroes, attacking, using abilities ends this effect.

TALENTS

Level 1

  • Geophagia [Active] - (!Quest): Gathering a Regeneration Globe increases your Health Regeneration by 1 per second, up to 15. (!Reward): After gathering 15 Globes, you can activate Geophagia to start regenerate 3% health per second, duration 10 seconds. Any movement, action, or damage taken while eating will cancel the effect. [Cooldown: 45 sec]

  • Unstoppable Force [Z] - Stomping activation time reduced by 2 seconds and you don't lose speed when taking damage.

  • Deep Impact [Q] - (!Quest): Throw heroes into terrain. (!Reward): After throwing 20 heroes into terrain, reduce the cooldown of Grab by 2 seconds, If the enemy impacts with terrain reduce the cooldown for an additional 2 seconds. (!Reward): After throwing 40 heroes into terrain increase impact damage by 100%.

  • Relief [Passive] - Basic Abilities recharge 100% faster while below 35% health.

Level 4

  • Flint Stone [E] - Enemies hit by Boulder explode are blinded for 2 sec.

  • Clay Spray [E] - Roll reduces spell power of enemy heroes by 25% for 4 sec.

  • Torbernite Splinters [W] - Enemies hit by Boulder throw receive 30% reduced healing for 3 seconds.

  • Crush - Your auto attacks vs non-heroes deal 150% more damage and splash.

Level 7

  • Snowball [E] - Increase Roll range by 25%, in addition after the roll your model size increase and you gain shield for 3 sec. which amount depends of traveled distance.

  • Rolling Stone [E] - You gain 10% additional movement speed after after roll and 10% more per each hero hit for 3 sec.

  • Lapidation [W] - (!Quest): Each time Boulder damages an enemy Hero, its damage increases by 5, up to 100. (!Reward): After damaging 20 Heroes with Boulder. Your Roll does 100% more damage to heroes hit by Boulder.

  • Hardiness - Remaining stationary for 2 seconds grants 30 Armor. Moving clears the effect.

Heroics

  • [R1] - Carry

  • [R2] - Fortification

Level 13

  • Internal Bleeding [Q] - After impact with terrain the Hero cannot use any movement abilities and its movement speed cannot exceed 100% for 2 sec. Passive: Grab range increased by 15%.

  • Loose Soil [E] - Roll makes a trail of loose soil for 5 sec, that slows enemies by 50%.

  • Metamorphism - You gain 10 Physical Armor in between 75% to 50% HP, 15 Spell Armor in between 49% to 26%, 20 Armor at 25% and below.

  • Fast Food - Geophagia can be used while moving, regenerates 15% more HP and also regenerates 30% mana.

Level 16

  • Sisyphean Labor [E] - Your roll doesn't stop after impact with boulder and you can reactivate Roll during rolling to roll back. Passive: Roll cooldown reduced by 4 sec.

  • Immovable Object - You cannot be knocked back or slowed.

  • Trovant [W] - After Boulder expired or exploded it spawns a small Elemental that attacks nearby enemies and have your trait passive bonus. Duration 12 sec.

  • Avalanche [Q] - After a Hero impacts with terrain Boulder falls and deals damage near the zone of impact.

Level 20

  • Carry On [R1] - Allied Heroes do 100% damage while carried, enemy Heroes do 25% damage.

  • Trebuchet [R2] - During Fortification you gain 90 Armor.

  • War Club - Your Basic Attacks have 50% (From 2 to 3) more range, deal 100% more damage, but your attack speed is slowed by 50%. Doesn't stack with fortification.

  • Terraport [Active] - You start 5 seconds channel, during that time you move yourself piece by piece to any place on the battleground, during that time you cannot move or perform any actions, cannot be casted insids or to bushes, after finishing you gain 30% increased health for 15 seconds. [Cooldown: 75 sec]

  • Shatter - Instead of dying you split by 3 pieces, each piece has 20% of your health, can move, attack and roll, but cannot use any other abilities. If you survive this time you build yourself again and gain health equal of each survived piece. Lasts 8 seconds. [Cooldown: 150 sec]

Blizzard, if you keep the placements system AND the seeding, at least HARD CAP the first placements ever/first placements after re-seeding

Here's what's fucking HL up :

  • those 10 placements games weight so much, and it's easy to re-seed and abuse the system. Blizzard could flex people MMR at the beginning of a season without using placement matches.

  • First placements ever should never ever give masters rank.

  • Re-seeding has too much impact. It's an even bigger plague for HL than duo-queue carrying was.

  • PBMM will never have any impact if every 2 or 3 months everyone keeps jumping ranks in placements and re-seeding.

I'm not suggesting any hard cap, some will think it's Gold 3, some Gold 1, some Plat 1. I don't care, but D3/Masters is too high.

To be fair I am playing on lower settings but I literally can almost never see it's casting circle . Even on my PC where it's on max it's still more difficult than it should be to identify.

The more I play her, the more Li Ming feels like the gold standard of MOBA mage design.

I've been playing HotS on and off since beta, and before that, I played a fair amount of League of Legends and Dawngate back when it was still alive, along with a few much smaller MOBAs. they've had their ups, their downs, their breakout characters (Renzo and Mina for Dawngate).

I've still yet to find a mage as tightly, enjoyably designed as Li Ming, across all my time with MOBAs, and even beyond.

She's got builds for newer players still learning the ropes, in orb based builds, teleport for intermediates, and missiles for experts. Almost every single option for her is viable and powerful, with most tiers coming down to the player and the needs of the game.

She (as of last time I checked) holds down a slightly negative WLR globally, while also seeing tournament play on the regular, and is never the subject of complaints any more.

She puts an extremely heavy emphasis on player skill at the high end, while also having options and talents that allow a newer player to play her and get a feel for her harder abilities. There's even frame perfect, or near frame perfect tricks with her, such as blinking pyroblasts.

And for some reason, Alarak Mains, in their perpetual silenced status, actually respect a good Ming.

At this point, I honestly feel Li Ming is the gold standard for mages in MOBAs. Blizzard did an absolutely wonderful job with her. I can't name a single mage who's better designed across every MOBA I've ever played.
