| Patch V.2.5.0 and Seasonal Gold Update Posted: 14 Feb 2018 12:03 PM PST Hey there, Our v.2.5.0 update will release tomorrow, we apologize for the poor communication around this release and the delay of the patch! When we have more info on when the update will land, we'll drop those details. What's up with Seasonal Gold and Firecracker Tickets? Our initial plan was to reset Seasonal Gold in v2.5.0 which may have caused you to lose leftover gold. To try and avoid that we adjusted to convert the leftover gold to Firecracker Tickets. Due to the delay in the build, there is nothing in the event store and Storm Llamas have disappeared. We did a poor job communicating this and did not create a good experience for you. Future gold resets will be on specific dates, following the Spring it on Event, and we will communicate that information to you in advance. For now, Seasonal Gold will be converted to Firecracker Tickets. We'll be adding a random Blue Schematic (no limit on number) to the store, for you to spend any leftover Seasonal Gold you have. Current conversion rates can we found below:

| Posted: 14 Feb 2018 12:20 PM PST Coming from someone who's played for almost 5 years, since the earliest days of alpha, through tons of iterations I think this game is fun. Enjoyable even! I've put 200+ hours into this game, there's no way I could say I completely hate it. What's FRUSTRATING though is that there's still so many problems that have existed since basically forever. Things like
on a non game balance issue, but another pet peeve - 7. Fix the price. This game is neat, but in its state its not 40 dollars neat. There's no way this half-finished early access product should cost that much. I could convince my friends to try it for 10, 20 MAYBE but 40 almost feels like a full game price in this day and age. It's just not fitting. I'm sure there's a lot more to get into that I'm forgetting (Feel free to comment below about it!) but really, as much as I love the events I would love a finished game that's ready to go into f2p mode more (P.S. Why couldn't you just be like "Hey, were having some problems and might have to delay." sooner? Even if its a false alarm. So what are you going to do EPIC? Because this 'ball' has been dropped too many times. Your beyond the point of promising to get better. You have people here literally wanting refunds because they feel like the game is going no-where. People are frustrated, but only because people also believe this game has potential. We bought into the idea of save the world because we believed in it. We are passionate about it. People are starting to lose faith. We don't want this to be another Paragon, we don't want this game to be swallowed up by the great success of FortNite BR. We don't want copy-paste answers. We don't want meaningless words. | All Bugs and Miscommunications Aside...This is STILL My Favorite Game. Posted: 14 Feb 2018 06:47 PM PST I just wanted to throw this out there and see where it lands. Honestly..look I understand and I assume you understand that STW is not perfect and likely far from perfect. But honestly, this is still by far my favorite game I own. I still play every day, I still have fun, I still have fun helping people...and I still learn new things every day. I work a lot more than I'm able to play, so I'm only in Canny even though I pre-ordered the Ultimate edition. I still support Epic. Even though I still have a salty taste in my mouth after the release of BR... STW is still BY FAR better than BR. When you really get into the hero build customization and how everything fits together...the grind and end game will result in HOURS of game play. Personally, If I get at least 1 hour of game play for every $1 spent...I'm 100% satisfied. I'm unsure of how many hours I have logged...but I know I have many more to go. So Epic if you are reading this, good job, and thanks for putting up with us. I understand you guys are short manned and I'm actually trying to see which position is right for me to apply for if any. Posted: 14 Feb 2018 06:39 PM PST Yo, if you play on console and have found yourself not being able to access the weekly items in the shop (while event items are missing) then perhaps try hovering over the daily deal llama in the llama tab and then switching to the event store. Now I know the Valentine's event is not really celebrating Valentine's Day, but is more of an excuse to give us more content, WHICH, I am grateful for. But I dunno guys, it just feels weird. No one gives a crap about April Fool's Day on April 2nd, and similarly, I don't give a rat's ass about Valentine's on Feb 15th. That being said, I will still play through the questline when it comes out as there aint anything better to do in the game anyway (Canny Valley is incredibly boring). I dunno, instead of giving us a skirmisher and survivalist(who uses this crap anyways) reskins, maybe work and cv and tp more? I apologize for the circlejerk, but I'm incredibly salty the event I was greatly looking forward to was delayed twice, while BR gets to have all the fun. Save the World is paid and Battle Royal is free yet BR gets way more attention and updates. The communication is almost non existent. | Seriously EPIC! Look what you have done. Posted: 14 Feb 2018 02:12 AM PST Ok so I have only played FORTNITE for 50 days today, and I have calculated all the updates for BR and STW. Ok so BR has had 17 updates from when I stared playing. STW has a 1, that's just disappointing the game that has been hyped up for years and put as paid early access 6 or so months ago has got one update in 70 days. Ok so I know BR obvious has more privileges over STW because of the bigger player base and more money they earn from it. But save the world is where it all began without STW ( the main part of their whole game) BR wouldn't exist. We have paid over 100 plus dollars on this game to test it out to help the EPIC team, but it just feels like there is a lack of care they put into the game we actually paid for. now I love Battle Royale don't get me wrong, but seriously every update is polished, perfect bringing in at least 8 new skins where as STW gets bugs that haven't been fixed, no communication from the devs, delays almost every week for new updates and when it does come out we get 1 story line and 2-4 new re- skins of other hero's perks. Seriously EPIC from all off your STW player base we need you to tell us that u actually care about us and your game. And never trust a beta, because the company may keep it in the "beta" phase for a year & hide behind that title when things go wrong and it's too difficult to remedy. I'm really hoping you guys can pull this together. I don't know where everything went so wrong? The Halloween Event was amazing (although some of those 'fetch' quests were a little tedious)! I like how you guys rolled out the Christmas Event (quests), but the rewards sucked. And it's all been rapidly going downhill for us since. Again I really hope you guys can pull this one off. Otherwise, in truth, I am too invested in the game to completely quit. But I guarantee that I will be done with any Epic products from here on out. [link] [comments]  | ||

Seriously though, the lack of release today was disappointing, and, while it is an indicator that Epic still doesn't have their shit together for save the world is it really that big a deal? They shifted it by one day. I'd rather them take the time to make content functional (by Fortnite standards, anyway.) than have it on time. Ideally I'd like it to be acceptably functional, but I'm still looking forward to it even if it is a day late. Just hoping it doesn't also end up a dollar short. | Unlinking an unauthorized person's PSN account Posted: 14 Feb 2018 07:48 PM PST My main Epic account may have been comprised and some scruvy dog has linked their PSN account to my Epic account without my permission and we're locked in a war of attrition to try to play, kicking one another off, I'm seeing random people added to my friends list and I'm nervous they are going to spend my V-bucks (I would like to continue to support the game but cannot until this is resolved). I've sent in a support ticket 2 weeks ago on January 30th, but don't think I can wait much longer. Given that this is a security issue, I'm worried about not hearing back in time before something bad happens. I understand there are so many players and that's why support times are slow, but I do not think time is on my side, help me raise awareness to hopefully get some assistance and get my account back in my own hands and so Fortnite can continue to enjoy my reckless money spending on them! More Details if interested: I still have access to my account. He no longer has my PW, I've changed it, and since he's linked my account to his PSN, changing my PW again does no further help, he will always be able to log on as long as he can log into his PSN account. I was pwned on the email list, and used probably a pwned password because I was lazy (I don't use it for anything else and also, everything else is 2-step verified with my phone and my email is not compromised nor are any other of my accounts, I can see account activity, when, where, and what device, and nothing isn't there that shouldn't be, plus they'd need my phone to log in). And if he had my passwords, why did he never change my Fortnite account PW itself? He makes it obvious when he logs in, always changes my stuff and does missions. And he's been logging in DAILY for the past 2 weeks I've been trying to contact for help. I can only hope he doesn't spend my vbucks I have leftover.... [link] [comments]  | ||

Even the small things like, d pad up is menu in BR but it's mini map in STW and the touch pad is mini map in BR but menu in STW. Personally I like BRs controls better, using L1/R1 to toggle your guns/building type instead of triangle to rotate through, and it remembering what building type you had selected if you switch to a gun.
