Fortnite Increasing Rewards Per Difficulty Level

Increasing Rewards Per Difficulty Level

Posted: 16 Feb 2018 06:51 PM PST

Heya folks!

We've deployed a small update at to address the amount of rewards received per BlueGlo difficulty level.

We agree that previous rewards for increasing difficulty levels of missions weren't very rewarding. We've decided to increase the seasonal gold and firecracker tickets received for each difficulty level completed.

Thanks,

Magyst

Update: Bug Fixes

Posted: 16 Feb 2018 11:34 AM PST

Hey Fortnite fam,

We released an Event Timeline Update a few weeks back, and with it, laid out a few of the great things we have planned in upcoming patches for Save the World. Be sure to check that out if you're curious on some of the things you can expect in the coming weeks.

In addition, we've heard your feedback on a few fixes important to you!

Known Issues:

  • We've heard your feedback that increasing the difficulty of missions doesn't grant enough additional incentive to be worth it. It's something we're aware of and actively working to solve. We'll continue to update all of you on this as work progresses.
  • We believe we've identified what has been causing the hitching/stutter problems in-game and we're actively working on a fix.
  • The fix for teammates appearing as "1(1)" OR "Connecting" is work in progress and is currently aimed at a future update.

This is a small list of some current issues you've been giving us feedback on. We'll provide more updates on other issues as the information comes in. Keep the feedback coming and tell us the fixes you care about the most!

Let's Save the StW Subreddit

Posted: 16 Feb 2018 08:40 AM PST

There have been a lot of Negative post about StW and while some are valid concerns/suggestions, the positive posts falling by the wayside. I am getting sick of seeing all of the comments about I am done playing StW, EPIC Sucks, StW is going the way of Paragon, ect.

If we continue gripe and complain about this game it will get scrapped. This is a call out to those of us who still love the game despite it's bugs and who have faith in EPIC. Share your suggestions on how we can make this Subreddit a positive place once again. As a start, please Upvote any positive post you see! This will go a long way.

Please keep comments on this post positive :) Thanks!

Could Fortnite’s Save The World mode be next on Epic’s kill list?

Epic, please listen to us.

With the recent update, nothing the community has been asking for arrived. Instead, we got new terrible perks to make getting decent weapons even more difficult. We don't even get 1 (1) GT anymore, it's just, connecting...

The amount of tickets earned is heavily nerfed, level 100 players can't even earn 100 tickets. Not to mention that you can earn the same amount or more from increasing the difficulty only once, compared to maxing it out.

This is a small portion of what this "patch" has brought. I love this game, that's why I continue to play through all of this. But it's getting so difficult to stick with it when you guys so clearly ignore what the community requests. It feels like you guys honestly do the opposite of what we want out of spite.

People have been begging for perk re-rolls for months, your move? Add more useless perks to dilute the weapon pool further. We want you to focus on real bugs that have been around for months and to not randomly nerf anything, your move? Fix nothing, remove a dance bug that gave zero advantage and nerf more abilities.

This is why people feel like your abandoning the game. You're communication promise has been very underwhelming, and your actions have been basically the opposite of what the community wants. You say you're all in one STW, but we haven't seen that at all.

It's weird that I can play BR squads and see my 3 teammates names instantly, in match with 96 other people, on a map 10x the size of any STW map. Yet for months we haven't been able to see a player name or level in a game with just 4 people.

We want results based off of community feedback. The timelines are nice and all, but your updates show you aren't really listening. Please focus on the the major bugs and community requests.

Warning: DO NOT enter your homebase if the missions "Keep Summer Safe" or "Dennis to Society" are active.

Posted: 16 Feb 2018 02:58 PM PST

If you or your party members have any of these missions active, DO NOT enter your homebase.

Husks start spawning and they end up destroying anything you've built. I just lost my Amplifier A building and had to build it all over again.

Pay attention so you don't lose a handful of resources as I just did :/

Regarding negativity

Posted: 16 Feb 2018 01:33 PM PST

I just hope Epic knows all of this is because people love the game and want it to succeed. Were not criticizing the game out of hate but because we care about the game.

Im sure visiting the Reddit can be daunting to Epic and new players so we should work together and be concise.

[Suggestion] Get a rid of the huge notification that pops up every single time you increase the difficulty

Posted: 16 Feb 2018 04:38 PM PST

If you've increased the difficulty in this game before, you know exactly what I'm talking about.

Why do I have to see a notification pop up every single time that tells me what the zombie modifiers are (if any) and the difficulty level. First of all this message displays for a good 10 seconds per upgrade and it covers the whole screen.

I'm not sure why I care about what the zombie modifiers are anyway. I saw what they were when I joined the mission. Maybe this is to show if you will now receive new modified zombies / nature zombies? But why does the notification have to be so big??

My suggestion is to make this notification the size of every other notification (The small rectangle that appears at the top of your screen)

Difficulty Boosts- Vote Option?

Posted: 16 Feb 2018 07:29 AM PST

Might I suggest the premise of voting to up the difficulty of a mission? Getting tired of going into a mission with people who don't build a single thing but then make it the hardest setting without clearing it by anyone on the team. With all the players out there that love to sabotage missions, why did you give them all the power to make the mission a pain? Don't get me wrong- I like the idea of having an option to increase difficulty. Just don't give all that power to any random low-level, no building, barely fighting dousche that walks in.

"Trade" "Anyone wanna trade?" "Trade"

Posted: 16 Feb 2018 04:55 PM PST

Please...for the love of God...give us a Trade tab.

Global, Team, Party, Trade

That way all these kids trying to trade with and/or scam each other can flood THAT tab with the trade talk, and the rest of us can get together and do SSDs and other quests.

StW Harvesting Tools - A Founders Exclusive in BR

Posted: 16 Feb 2018 07:23 AM PST

Wasn't sure wether to post this in /r/Fortnite or /r/FortniteBR . However I had an idea for us 'founders'.

I started off playing BR and then got really hooked with StW, however I am really (dissapointed?) with the harvesting tools in BR, most of them are really silly, the only one I really like and use is the Party Animal.

I was thinking, as a Founders-Exclusive, transfer some (all?) of the Harvesting tools from StW over to BR for Founders Exclusive, have em like 150-200 v-Bucks each and only 'Founders' (who have purchased StW) have access to these.

Progressing through StW I really liked the variation of the harvesting tools, they started off looking pretty rough and made from spare parts, and now up in Plankertown the pretty dope brand new Vindertech tool.

I think this would be a great move to 1) Shed more light on the StW part of Fortnite, since that's what the game is (Battle Royale is just a 'game-mode' of it, that some people don't even know about) and 2) Would boost sales on StW for those users who want the harvesting tools (since they should be founder's exclusive tools)

Cheers, let me know your suggestions below, Mike

//Edit - I'm not really to say dissapointed with the BR harvesting tools, they're just all the 'same' (apart from the party animal) - I'd LOVE to see some of the StW hammers/hardware (stuff like we seen during storm event and such) added as harvesting tools, that's why I love the Party Animal so much cause it's unique and its a big HAMMER

Thank you, Epic.

Thank you for adding the mechanic, where we get evolution material back for levelled items. Long overdue and a great addition.

While on the subject, can you please consider this retroactively? Like that old update, where we retroactively got the survivor xp when that was patched.

QoL Improvement Nº 1 needed for me: INCREASE THE MAT LIMIT

Posted: 16 Feb 2018 11:04 AM PST

999 mats for BR is way more than enough, but 999 mats is way too low for StW. Maybe put them as skill tree points, increasing the limits by A LOT, like A LOOOOOT. Maybe until 10000 or even 99999.

Inquiring minds want to know

Posted: 16 Feb 2018 09:44 AM PST

So the newest patch is out with the start of a new event. There have been some good things and many bad thing. I'm sure many players would like to know the answers to some of these items.

The good - Evolve materials returned. Fuck yeah. If this was all the patch contained it would be a home run. Seriously. However, you should have stopped right there.

The bad -

For weeks now, you have heard the complaints and the outcry about trolls and useless afkers in public matches. You've heard about the people that farm and leave. You've heard about people that purposely destroy a base. So your solution was to add ANOTHER layer for them to abuse players with. Farm what they want and then up the difficulty to max and drop cause fuck them right.

How...how in the world with all the complaints about players do you go and add this layer into the game. If your desire was to get me to play LESS public matches you hit this one out of the park.

Bugs bugs bugs. Wall launchers. I cannot even begin to understand how these now throw mobs the wrong direction. This is worthy of a hotfix. They cost players materials and they do not function the way they should. Fix them

1(1) was getting tired of looking at so let's replace it with connecting... Hell, nobody needs to see their teammates levels, health, or blu glo, etc. Make it a mystery. That'll up the difficulty like we want.

Speaking of teammates, it's great when I can't see any of them on the map and have to look for a name to run towards. That's a nifty feature.

Lag...well, it's not going away any time soon. I think most of us have accepted this one.

Perks - people have been asking for rerolls forever to get rid of useless perks. Solution - Let's add more shit to the pool to further dilute the rolls. More llama sales for us. Yay - no. Less, much less llama sales unless you are preying on only the new folks who don't know any better.

The dreaded ticket farm. Flat out, just put them back in storms like they were. There was nothing wrong with that system at all. 10 a day worked just fine. Sure people that play more would run out, but I assume that's a minority (one I belong to before others want to call this out)

However, now, the most efficient way to farm tickets is to go to a pointless low level mission, build some random wood walls and defend by yourself for a short time. Sure the ticket count is lower but the rate at which you can complete these puts the net gain higher - AND - no resources used at all using my ninja.

So, in summary, us inquiring minds would love to know how any of this got beyond the conference room discussion phase. It's becoming clearer and clearer that you really don't care what happens in the game. Players abusing others should be the number 1 concern you have at the moment with the huge outcry there has been. You've completely shown you are turning a blind eye with these new changes. This, in my opinion, is the worst event/patch this game has seen at least since Halloween when I started. This patch is single handed making me question playing at all, let alone grinding this terrible ticket system.

Firecracker tickets!

Posted: 16 Feb 2018 05:18 PM PST

I'm doing level 40 missions and only pulling like 64 tickets per mission... it takes so long to get the tickets.... and today I got enough to get a llama and didn't even get a weapon schematic.... i think that if we get so little tickets, then we should be guaranteed a weapon schematic....
