Other killers should have add-ons on par with Myers.

Posted: 27 Feb 2018 02:23 AM PST

Vanity Mirror and Scratched Mirror are both incredibly unique and fun playstyles. Sneaky and scary, love it (on the right map).

Judith's Tombstone and Fragrant Tuft are absolutely gamechanging, and the combo is powerful enough that you'll almost always get 3-4 kills with them.

Add-ons of such high rarity aren't meant to be balanced, they're meant to be harsh; punishment for when survivors think they are in charge.

So, here's my ideas on what the other killers would like.

Trapper

(Very Rare) Color Palette: A board with various dyes of dubious origin.

  • Moderately increases setting time of the Bear Trap.
  • Bear Traps mimic the background of whatever they are placed on.

(Ultra Rare) Entity-touched Tools: Setting tools, hewn from bone and held together with... something else.

  • All Traps the Trapper would spawn with spawn in the field.
  • Trap default spawn locations are changed to be beside common escape routes (pallets, windows, narrow passageways).
  • After being disarmed for 8 seconds, traps automatically rearm.
  • Survivors who are trying to sabotage a trap when it rearms will be trapped.

(Ultra Rare) Hexed Jaws: A strange energy flows from these... enchanting.

  • Increases time to disarm or sabotage a bear trap by 5 seconds.
  • Adds skill checks to disarms, with 3-6 tremendously difficult skill checks in the duration.
  • Failing a skill check or ending the disarm early results in the trap triggering.

Wraith

(Ultra Rare) Blood-soaked Cloth: Azarov used it to muffle screams. Wraith finds a similar use.

  • Removes speed bonus for being in stealth.
  • The Wraith may attack directly out of invisibility.

(Ultra Rare) Azarov's Eyes: He sees not. Neither will you.

  • Removes the Shimmer and Snarl while invisible.
  • Grants the Wraith complete immunity to all detection perks while invisible.

Hillbilly

(Ultra Rare) New Engine: A bit more kick than Billy is used to, but with a bit of extra focus...

  • Removes the ability to use the mallet.
  • Removes the bonus speed from chainsaw sprinting.
  • The Hillbilly passively revs his chainsaw to 99% at all times. Tapping either mouse key will send him into a sprint.

Nurse

Needs a complete overhaul of her add-ons, but for now...

(Ultra Rare) Paper Bag: Used to help with the hyperventilating patients, it contains thousands of breaths.

  • Increases Nurse's movement speed to 110%.
  • Changes Blink to a charge system. Restore 1 charge every 6 seconds, up to 4. So long as you have a charge, you can blink.
  • Removes the post-blink stun.

Huntress

Iridescent Head: Hatchets from 1 >> 3 If you run the Iridescent Head, your hatchet limit is static; other addons do not effect it.

Hag

(Ultra Rare) Animus: Flesh mixed into the Mud.

  • Triggered Phantasms pursue the nearest survivor.

Cannibal

(Ultra Rare) Incomplete Recipe: Needs Meat.

  • Each dead survivor increases the duration of the chainsaw attack by 2 seconds.
  • Each dead survivor lowers the charge time of the chainsaw by 0.5 seconds.

Doctor

(Ultra Rare) Car Battery: WEAK MINDS MELT

  • Tremendously decreases the size of skill check zones.
  • Moderately increases the rate at which skill checks progress.
  • Maddened survivors who fail a skill check take an instance of damage (cannot put them in the dying state), reveal themselves to the Doctor, and either completely regress their action (heal, sabo) or regress an extra 5% (repair).

Nightmare

(Ultra Rare) Melatonin: For those who fight sleep.

  • After being awake for 45 seconds, survivors fall asleep.
  • Every time a survivor wakes up, the time to fall asleep again is reduced by 5 seconds, down to 15 at a minimum.

Pig

(Ultra Rare) Rigged Game: This one is Unworthy.

  • The last reverse bear trap in your inventory cannot be unlocked.

Feng Min Prestige 3 + Cardigan (Broken)

Posted: 27 Feb 2018 08:39 AM PST

Actually i loved my min with this outfit. but a few weeks ago i noticed some kind of downside for me. she has a stripe of clean skin under her neck, unlike Neas Neck which is completely bloody. maybe ther reason is that feng has no tanktops. but i just wish this would be fixed somewhen in the future :'( http://abload.de/img/20180227171415_16zj8b.jpg

Devs, we Hag players appreciate that you're trying to buff her, but it's pretty obvious what she needs.

It's not 4 meters off her terror radius, its +5% movement speed.

So, with the new Halloween film coming out this year what should BHVR celebrate with ?

Posted: 27 Feb 2018 09:52 AM PST

I mean sure something is bound to happen no matter if the movie's good or not, right ? Maybe older Laurie and something specific to the movie ? Not necessarily a location, but maybe some acessories obtainable during a fixed time like this entire Chinese New Year celebration ?

Unable to Pick up Items found in chests. FIX?

Posted: 27 Feb 2018 09:02 AM PST

Been noticing a lot of people just running away from chests when they cant pick up the item inside of it. Yet I've always just crouched to pick it up. So until it is fixed, crouching next to the chest seems to give the option to pick it up. Plz test to see if it works for others.

What exactly is the survivor's main purpose?

Posted: 27 Feb 2018 07:53 AM PST

I just finished a game where I fixed 4 generators alone while the other 3 were involved in the cat and mouse of chose, hooked, rescue.

Before I finished the last gen, one was hooked and the other was downed. I rescued the one who was hooked and another came over to heal. I ran over to my gen and finished it. BEFORE I opened any gates, I tried to get over to a hooked survivor. Huntress was waiting on top of a hill and I was stuck because if I moved, she would've seen me. She spots an attempted rescue. Do I:

A. Run into the fray or B. Open the gate so if a rescue is made, we can escape.

I chose B. Everyone was on their last hook so I escaped. "Reported for unsportsmanlike"

TL;DR I fixed four gens solo, got one rescue and then escaped so apparently I'm a bad teammate.

So y'all literally gonna ignore Xbox issues through the whole damn event?

By which I mean, a fix.

I don't even need to explain anything. Everyone already knows.

Anyone know if Microsoft will refund me the game and all DLC over this?

The Different Players in Solo Queue

Posted: 27 Feb 2018 11:22 AM PST

After playing the game for over 300 hours, you begin to notice a lot of the same people. So I thought I'd make a list of the different players I encounter in solo queue.

The Dwight: Most likely if he's running the default Dwight outfit, he just installed the game and he has no idea what he's doing. He hasn't even learned how to run yet and he'll most likely be found on the hook or inside a closet.these guys are frequent during sales and after rank reset.

The Gen Ghost: This guy is constantly working on generators all by himself and you know this by the fact he keeps popping gens. Even when you search the whole goddamn map, you'll never find him. He just works on gens and escapes never to be seen.

The Altrutistic: These guys get their name from how they always want to help everyone out and be altruistic, but the second part of it comes from the fact that they will make the stupidest of plays just so they save some.(i.e dive the basement hook against leatherface, heal when the killer has nurse's calling, and take unnecessary hits) If this guy's on your team, just accept that he will inevitably end up on the hook and die.

Slippery Steve: This guy is slippery, it doesn't matter if he going against the doctor, huntress, or pig, he always seems to avoid getting hit and jukes out the killer. He makes the killer so salty that chances are if he ever gets hit, he'll be found on the hook being face camped since the killer is sick of his shit.

DC Man: Is the killer Doc? he left. Is it a new killer? He left. Is there 5 gens left and someone is already dead? He left. Does the killer have a mori? He left.Did the killer look at him funny? He left. If you see this guy, he's about to leave and don't be surprised.

The SaltShaker: This guy isn't salty but it's the way that this guy plays that makes others salty. He sandbags, he loops, he dives hooks, and he camps. By the end, everyone will want this guy dead. Often can be found mori'd by the killer.

The Chest Lurker: This guy hogs the chest and prioritizes searching over everything else. When you go to search a chest, chances are it's already open, and he left behind a brown toolbox in favor of what was in there. He's also a leatherface's best friend. Often you'll find this guy in the basement dead or searching chest.

The Leprechaun: This guy is the definition of lucky. He searches a chest, gets a purple toolbox, he tries his luck on the hook, escapes as a sole survivor. He gets chased by the killer, suddenly the killer becomes near-sighted. Killer is Doctor, he doesn't even reach tier 2 insanity. Seriously this guy is just too lucky for it to even be possible. Often these guys can be found at the hatch since it just spawned under them.

The Killers Pet: Fuck this guy, he loves to body block so there get hit, he'll heal you to help the killer get closer. He sandbags and makes noises to get the killers attention. He points at lockers you're hiding in. This guy can just go fuck himself. Often this guy can be found on the hook because even the killer knows he's a scumbag.

The Wet British Testicle: I think we both know who this guy is. he can be found still at the exit gates "Taunting".

And on that note, that's about as much types of players I can think of not including the average Joe.I hope you enjoyed my list.

When you're this close.

I'm starting to understand why people prefer being grouped up in SWF.

Posted: 27 Feb 2018 05:22 AM PST

So, quick foreword. I main Killer, have done since launch and likely will continue to going forward. But lately, I've spent a lot of my time on DbD as Survivor..

And frankly, I'm kinda glad SWF exists.

So, why, I hear you ask? Simple.

Solo queuing is an utter headache.

Here's a quick rundown of some of the daft and outright stupid things I've seen my teammates do...

  • Start running because the Killer breifly looked ain their general direction and then never stop. For the entire match.

  • Unhooking a teammate. While in a chase. Without Borrowed Time.

  • Flat out refusing to move under any circumstance because they can hear the Killer's heartbeat.

  • Spending the whole match desperately hunting down the Ruin totem, not touching a gen 'til they find it.

  • Divebombing a hook by running straight at the Killer.

  • Hiding in a locker when they have the Endurance buff from BT, then getting grabbed.

  • Trying to do any number of jukes against Killers they don't work on. (Looking at you, mr. Double-back towards a thrown hatchet)

  • Doing the 'Hook Wiggle', thinking it means "come save me". Then bitching in postgame about not getting saved.

(..I could go over everything I've witnessed but that'd be a wall of text you could see from space.)

I would much rather prefer being grouped up with people who actually can strategize and communicate with... instead of the random SaboJake breaking the Killer's shit while I'm dying on a hook and the Quentin is looping the Killer on the other side of the map, while the Bill is failing every skillcheck of the Gen that was almost powered.
