Im playing on a vanilla server, that a new seed was created on just 3 days ago.

I'm in chat like "Wooo, first iron pickaxe!", after spending about 5-6 IRL hours on the server.

Others player are like "I've got all level 400 tools already".

I dont take them for liars, they seem helpful. I just dont understand how someone could progress so fast.

New Player, PVP base tips needed

So I'm relatively new and paranoid about everything right now. It's great! I've found a small city house with a basement that has a nice solid 3000hp per tile floor. There's a nice wood column that extends out from the wall, one block. I cut that block and the one above it out, and dug a single block hole through the concrete to dirt. I then dug down about a dozen blocks or so and set up my humble hideout complete with campfire, sleeping bag and just recently a forge.

It was laborious but satisfying.

So now I've finally got my first iron pick axe and shovel and I'm ready to expand.

Suggestions?

Also, is there any depth I can go where zombies on a horde night wont find/hear/smell me?

I'm a solo player. My biggest worry is being discovered and having all my stuff stolen I worked many hours to get.

Recent reset on excellent PvP server with great community and active admins - [Social Gamers Club]

First note: I do not own or operate this server.

I've been playing this game since ~a8 and have been part of several great communities along the way. Within the last few months I've started playing with the SGC crew, on their PVP server (if that's not your speed they also have a PVE server).

I decided to post because I've recently seen a number of "looking for people to play with" submissions, and the SGC pvp server was reset less than a week ago, so this is a great time to join.

It's definitely PvP, but people are generally very cool, and will help you out if you ask. There is an active Discord server where the admins can be found in the rare event they're not in-game. I've had enough fun with these guys and put in enough hours that I was happy to donate to support the server maintenance costs, which I think says something about its quality.

Do roads reset like POIs?

I have heard the troubles with building on or improving inside a POI to make your base. However, I have liked building early bases on top of wide asphalt streets because the zoms can't pound through it so much as they crawl around.

I've moved to a different base design and I have a defensible setup but also a ladder dropping through the asphalt down into a pit. I'm starting to clear out a cavern for a couple of mine tunnels and also my underground home base.

However, now I am wondering if asphalt roads will sometimes reset like POIs and I'll find my ladder stopping at solid road instead of into an excavated opening. Is that a possibility? I don't have concrete yet and it was the best way to get a good foundation (no pun intended) for my base?

[PC] Used the 7D2D mod launcher and no can't connect to steam. please help

I just redownloaded the 7d2d mod launcher so i could play WotW 5.2. And I used the sync feature...it froze up and now i can't connect to steam, it says there is a connection error. Any ideas how to fix this?

Edit..reinstalling steam fixed the issue.
