Posted: 19 Jan 2018 11:02 AM PST So i heard leaving gore blocks around will spawn screamers. not sure if this is true but got me thinking, what else doesn't the game tell you that's useful to know. and i don't mean obvious things like aim for the head or whatnot. i'm talking about subtle things. i'm currently day 48, if that matters [link] [comments]
Posted: 19 Jan 2018 10:28 AM PST So I've started to have a problem where I'm getting zombies spawning in my base. Why? [link] [comments]
Posted: 19 Jan 2018 03:37 PM PST Is it just me or have they patched the blood moon hordes and spawning in general. We are playing on a private multiplayer server (2 sometimes 3 players) and blood moons are ridiculously easy compared to a while ago. Zs usually stop spawning at approx 1 am compared to before doing when they would keep coming until dawn! We rarely have any specials and haven't even seen the police zombies so we prepare all of the 6th day for nothing 😂. Blood moon spawn is on highest (64) and difficulty survivalist. We are in a concrete walled POI but it's harder on a normal day with all the screamers! [link] [comments]
Made it through my first blood moon... sort of. Someone explain a few things please? Posted: 19 Jan 2018 10:20 PM PST Ok, first... in the settings, I left pretty much everything on default(I think the only thing changed is I mark air drops). The default "blood moon count" says 8 enemies per player. I'm playing single player. I got to my first blood moon and they just kept coming and coming. I died, then ran around naked for a while just avoiding them, died again in the woods, finally got back to my backpack and fought off a few more before morning came just in the nick of time. So what does 8 enemies mean if I'm fighting off what seemed like several dozen I think? Was I attracting more with my gunshots? Every thread I find on spawning and how they sense/see/smell/hear/etc is different depending on the version and everyone's theories. Next, how am I suppose to see at night when I have to fight the blood moon horde? My understanding is that having a bunch of torches up(which is what I would need to see properly) would create a lot of "heat" which spawns even more. I can't hold a flashlight or torch and fight at the same time, so....?? Last question... is there any "legitimate" method for fighting off blood moon hordes early on without some form of cheesing and without being an expert at the game who knows every little tip and trick, and without lowering the settings to something below the default they start at? Is it just not intended that you're supposed to directly confront the horde? [link] [comments]
Looking for players to play with Posted: 19 Jan 2018 08:19 PM PST Just 2 guys who really like this game looking for more people to play with ! Steam name- Archimedes. [link] [comments]
Any suggestions for things to do later on in the game? Posted: 19 Jan 2018 07:34 AM PST I have a world on my PS4 that I play couch co-op with my bf. We've been playing the same world for a while now and have a surplus amount of medical supplies, food and water, weapons and materials. We both have minibikes, a permanent base and we've located a trader. We're playing a randomly generated world not Nazegame. I'm not bored with the game I just don't know what to do and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for projects that can keep me busy. [link] [comments]
Destroy blocks in creative mode? Posted: 19 Jan 2018 10:07 AM PST I've seen some threads about this but they're all over year old I'm wondering if there's a way to instantly destroy blocks in creative mode it sucks to have to use and auger which makes it not worth playing in creative [link] [comments]
Posted: 19 Jan 2018 11:27 AM PST Most of us have 100+ hours, but its been a year or 2 since any of us played more than a little bit. Only my brother's screen will be streamed, but you'll hear all of us talking. Server settings we plan to use: * 18 hour day * insane difficulty * 200% loot * 20 minute 24 hour cycle (ie roughly 2 hours til first blood moon) * blocks 100% * walk/run default * no player killing I've found a nice big city in a random seeded world, and wrote down the coordinates. We'll start a new server with that seed and all head for the city, then choose a prefab as our first base. Other than that, its probably just going to be each person do whatever they want (though we might ban wood spikes). As for the difficulty, I just feel like anything less than insane is too easy, and therefore no fun. UNLESS I can figure out how to turn on the setting that makes the zombies always know where you are, but that feature seems to be removed now? Any ideas are greatly appreciated, and please feel free to ask any questions! [link] [comments]

Land claim/moving objects no longer working? Posted: 19 Jan 2018 08:57 AM PST Hi, I used to be able to pick up objects like furnaces, lights, etc, by holding E for items in my base within my claim block. However for some reason, on both my single player game and my MP game that I play with my buddy, this no longer works. I am unable to move items around any more, no option shows up as if there was no land claim block. I even tried destroying the land claim block and making a new one in its place, but no luck. Did something change in the game? Or am I missing something? [link] [comments]
Tell me about mod tools. Are they official? How versatile are they? Etc Posted: 19 Jan 2018 07:46 AM PST I can't seem to find a quick answer without digging through forums and watching tutorial videos. If there is one and you just want to point me to a page that lists info and features for modding tools, that works too. If not... I know there are mods for this game. I haven't tried any or looked into them much. Are the tools official or player made? If official, where do I find official documentation, features, etc? How versatile are they? I know I can mess around with values in json files, but how much more could I do if I wanted? Can I mess with graphics, animations, create new items, enemies, new mechanics? What's possible? Some questions about multiplayer Posted: 19 Jan 2018 03:55 AM PST How can I view the steam ID's of people who join? Is there any way other than console commands to kick people? Thanks! :D [link] [comments]
Does anyone else get huge lag on 16.4 playing on a Mac? Posted: 19 Jan 2018 07:16 AM PST Because I sure do. What can I do to fix it? I play wired to the internet. Super fast download and upload speeds. Decent iMac ( a few years old ) . Medium settings. What gives? Thx [link] [comments]
