Was High King Torygg having an affair with Pantea Atea? Posted: 09 Jan 2018 03:25 AM PST It's canon for me now since she makes a point of saying she's 'performed' there many times because he was quite the admirer. I feel like this is something poor Elisif would have never suspected. Yes, yes...shitpost but think about it for a second. [link] [comments]

I encountered my first hilarious game-breaking glitch in Skyrim Posted: 09 Jan 2018 06:30 AM PST I was working on the No One Escapes the Cidhna mines. I turn a corner through a gate Madanach just opened and I just fall through the floor. After free falling for 3 or 4 seconds I land in the mine, outside of the prison gate. I essentially escaped on a glitch, so I went on about my way. The quest did not complete, but I couldnt find a way back in, so I just shrugged my shoulders and left. What I didnt realize was that this quest removes all of the pertinent quest items from your inventory. I was able to recover my weapons and armor but all of my Black Books, Elder Scroll, etc were missing from my inventory, and I didnt notice until 9 hours later. Had to backtrack 9 hours, but it's all good, what's 9 hours when you're 111 hours in? What's your worst glitch setback? [link] [comments]
First world problems: I have too much gold Posted: 09 Jan 2018 06:36 AM PST I'm rolling around with half a million in gold and I don't know what to do with it. I've got all house and Hearthfires upgraded and fully furnished. I wanted to dump it all in a room and go Scrooge McDuck-ing, but it doesn't seem possible? Anyone know how to drop it all like that? Ps: that rat Nazeem still feels the need to brag and call me poor. Nobody cares about your farm bruh - I'm in the empire business. [link] [comments]

Cthulhu/HP-lovecraft/horror type of mods? Posted: 09 Jan 2018 05:39 AM PST Howdy, been wondering whether there's freaky/creepy mods out there that would give Skyrim a more ominous-cthulhu-type-ish flavour! Either armours, weapons, quests, houses, spells (would love those), anything really. [link] [comments]
Most fucked up quest/questline in Skyrim? Posted: 08 Jan 2018 09:39 PM PST What was the most disturbing quest or questline in Skyrim for you? The kind that makes me absolutely furious and disgusted with yourself every time you go through with it on a playthrough? Mine was "The taste of death" and the Daedric quest for Molag Bal. Posted: 09 Jan 2018 05:17 AM PST So, I'm starting a "Good Guy" build and I'm planning on killing Alduin, Harkon and Miraak. Then I had an idea: what if I"unite" the 3 antagonists? I'm thinking of doing a DragonBone sword and enchant it using the Dlc's antagonists souls to enchant it. Is this even possible? If yes, what do you think of this? [link] [comments]
Posted: 09 Jan 2018 03:45 AM PST I was thinking of doing a petty thief build where I don't fight anyone. I'd roleplay as an orphan that grew up in Riften (using the alternate start mod), and would resort to thievery to live. However, I've not been hardened enough to kill anyone. Obviously, I would join the thieves guild, but I was trying to remember if there are any missions where you have to kill someone? I know there is at the end but I couldn't remember any others. So yeah, anyone got some thoughts, suggestions, tips on how I could play this character without getting owned the moment someone tried to fight me? Edit: This would be a pure thief build. Living on the streets my character doesn't have much time to study magic, and as mentioned they don't like fighting. [link] [comments]
Has anyone every tried doing a pacifist playthrough? Posted: 09 Jan 2018 04:45 AM PST Some time ago I finished playing Undertale, doing the pacifist run where you basically spare everyone to get the good ending. After this, I wanted to try the same concept in other games. Of course it is limited in games where you have to kill someone to progress in to the next area, yet it should also be possible to create a character based on someone who would always consider sparing a life rather than taking it. Maybe using illusion spells, freeze, knock outs and paralysis. What do you guys think and does it sound interesting to you as well? EDIT: spelling [link] [comments]

25 hours into Skyrim: Revisited Posted: 09 Jan 2018 07:43 AM PST This is an update into my revisit to the world of Skyrim. As a brief explanation, i broke my leg in 2012 and played through Skyrim once. I beat the main quest fairly quickly and completed the civil war for the Imperials, with probably a few side quests here and there. I was hopped up on pain meds, so i got really dizzy when looking around in first person and had to only play in third person. I made myself a beefed up Imperial wielding a greatsword and heavy armor, as hacking my way through the story as quick as possible was the most tolerable. Suffice to say, i had little patience collecting items or getting involved in unneccesary dialogue with NPC's. Flashforward to 2017 and I pick up Skyrim for thr Nintendo Switch. I have a toddler, so it is easier for me to carry this around the house to play whether he's playing or watching tv or sleeping, so i could watch him or easily pause and go. 25 hours in, and i might be having the best experience of my life. Many of the first few parts like the Helgen attack, the intro to Whiterun, and the companions were very familiar. But I decided to go all in and really immerse myself. I decided to play this in "city chunks". I'm talking to every single person at Whiterun and doing all the Whiterun quests first before taking on any missions from elsewhere. I'm ignoring the main dragonborn quest and the civil war quest. In fact, i've decided to delay my decision to side with the imperials or stormcloaks until the very end. I originally was going to side with the stormcloaks, but right now i'm leaning back toward the Imperials. We'll see how it pans out after i get 100+ hours in. So anyway, i started out as a Khajit, planning to be some kind of agile stealth archer. I beefed out my sneak and archery skill points, but find that this build is very impractical for most cave/dungeon quests, unless you beef out your companion with super armor and an axe, which is what I did lol. So after i did all the whiterun storylines, I actually find myself knowing all these people and their stories well. I recognize them by name, and that was definitely not the case during my first run through. I saved the Companion questline for last at Whiterun and finally completed it. Currently just doing some Vilkas/Farkas/Aela missions. Overall, now that Whiterun seems to be completed, I find myself very immersed and satisfied with the game, and I believe this was the way it was meant to be played. Except for a random super killing spree as a Werewolf where I murdered people for about 3 hours straight in real world time and maxed out all my Werewolf skills in one sitting, I have barely explored the world. My plan now is to attend the Bards College, as I feel it would be most helpful to level up my speech so I can barter and sell items better. I am planning to save my pursuit of Magic mastery, the Dawngaurd storyline, the civil war storyline, and the dragonborn storyline until the end, and in that exact order. I am loving this game, and i know i'm about 6 years too late, but just having the most amazing experience. Just figured I would share with people i'm assuming have had similar experiences. Posted: 09 Jan 2018 12:10 AM PST Took a fishing job. Steal Torvar's silver necklace. Exciting. He's surrounded by companions and my pickpocket skill is bad. Wait I'm harbinger... follow me I need your help... trade some things... thanks for the necklace. It's time for us to part ways. [link] [comments]
So I just finished "In My Time of Need" and something really interesting happened. Posted: 09 Jan 2018 04:42 AM PST I never got to finish Skyrim, so I decided to buy the SE and replay the game, fully committed to finishing it this time.
Now, once I finished the "In My Time of Need" quest (I trusted Kematu and let him capture Saadia) since I'm playing as a thief, naturally, I went into the Stable house and stole all the gold I could find.
What's interesting is that when I got out of the house, I see Saadia waking up and running towards Whiterun while Kematu is doing God knows what. I followed her and she legitimately opened the gates and vanished.
Now I'm wondering, is it just a bug or did she actually manage to escape? [link] [comments] |
