Posted: 20 Jan 2018 12:00 AM PST Note: This is all just in theory. I have yet to test the theory myself but if anyone who has the money and mental capacity to follow this method, I'd be really interested to see the results So I was doing a little theory crafting with the xp based pet drop rate formula, and i think I've figured out a way to guarantee yourself a Ramsay pet. Now this method is fairly click intensive, it would require anywhere between 10-14 hours, depending on your current xp, but as long as the formula is correct then it will force a Ramsay pet. Basically to achieve an xp based pet, every time you gain experience, you roll for a chance at a pet. The odds are determined by your xp drop, your virtual level (or if you are 200m in that skill) and the predetermined modifier for that skill as set by Jagex. For cooking, that modifier is 25, which means every exp drop you get is multiplied by your total level, and then divided by 1.25b (50m*25) to give you a fraction which is your chance at a pet. So if you get an exp drop of 500, and your virtual level is 120, then you have a 60,000/1,250,000,000 or ~1/20.8k chance for pet. But what if you could get a bigger exp drop? Making wines has always been a popular method for training cooking even since the early days of Runescape. It's fast, albeit expensive, but it has a unique quality that is rarely seen by any other method of training in the game. The exp for making the wine is broken into two parts, when its initially created, and when it ferments, 15 seconds later. But the thing that makes this so unique is that when you make a new wine, the timer for your first wine resets, and this continues indefinitely (as long as you keep making wines, or until you stop). Because you are given one exp per grape to jug of water, and then you're given 200xp when said wine ferments, its possible to gain a huge exp drop when you quit making wines. Now back to the drop formula, if you make 5000 wines (which doesn't take long at all considering you can add grape to jug once per tick) you can expect to gain a 1m base exp drop. If you multiply that 1m base exp with a total level of 120, you get a roll of 120,000,000/1,250,000,000, or just under 1/10 chance for Ramsay. if you push that higher, and do say 50k wines (should take around 10 hours) that gives you a 1,200,000,000/1,250,000,000, or a 96% chance for Ramsay. So at 120 cooking, should you choose to make 52,084 wines, (which at perfect production rate should take you just over 10.5 hours), if Jagex's formula is correct you will guarantee yourself a Ramsay pet. This will cost you just over 205.6m. Thanks for reading, apologies for the long post and shitty formatting, I don't know how to use reddit lol EDIT: I'd like to point out that what I am proposing is that the massive exp drop gives you 1 single roll at pet, but with the massive exp drops it makes it more than 100% likely IN THE FORMULA THAT JAGEX RELEASED. I do not know if the wines exp drop stalls the roll at pet, but if it did and you got a 10m+ exp drop in the pet drop rate formula then it would give a value greater than 1, thus guaranteeing a pet drop [link] [comments]

Posted: 20 Jan 2018 06:04 AM PST A person is jumping around in cc's/fc's and trying to sell krar jnr pets. This is a scam, do not trust him! A friend of mine have recently been scammed for 200m from this person. Ive seen him popping in, in several cc's/fc's now. [link] [comments]

I literally just want friends to play with.. Posted: 20 Jan 2018 05:54 AM PST I've been trying this game out for about a week and a half now dabbling between RS and OSRS, having never played either before. (I even purchased membership) and am having trouble doing things and find myself reading guides constantly and doing a lot of content alone. I've found the player base to be very unfriendly. Either completely ignoring me or belittling me when I ask questions. OSRS is practically the same though at least people on there are slightly more tolerant of complete newbies. I've tried conversations with people at major cities, in random places and at the beginner area (Burthorpe.) and have only found 1 relatively helpful person. :( I'm not whinging or complaining and definitely not looking for free things, just thought it was worth mentioning how sad the community is to a genuinely new player to the game, I feel like i'm dealing with a boys club' back in high school.. I need help understanding the gear for slayer Posted: 20 Jan 2018 04:48 AM PST Hi i've been tryna figure out these new things with drain rate and whatnot with gears, it's just too confusing for me. So from someone who is experienced i'd like to ask. I got limited gold, should I buy torva, the anima core set, or the maleovalent one? This is in mind that I will augrument them and also drain them. Thanks [link] [comments]
Posted: 19 Jan 2018 11:13 AM PST I still think it's hilarious when someone refers to Dungeoneering as "dung" "Hey, is that a DUNG reward?" "I'm just working on DUNG" "I hate DUNG" "I actually love DUNG" Oh God. [link] [comments]
Make Silske's anima set count as warpriest without needing the full set Posted: 19 Jan 2018 08:33 PM PST This way you can have the warpriest effect with top/bottom/gloves or boots for slayer. [link] [comments]
Posted: 20 Jan 2018 05:51 AM PST Keep the attack range and the ammunition interactions the same but give it the attuned crystal weaponry passive—a chance to crit for 25% more damage scaling with agility level. [link] [comments]
Long term goals for F2P players Posted: 20 Jan 2018 03:49 AM PST What are long term goals for F2P players

Posted: 20 Jan 2018 05:31 AM PST I just started grinding agility and wanted to make a key on my keyboard to act as mouse 1 using Corsair Utility Engine. Is it against the rules to do so? I know many keyboards already have buttons for it built in as macros. [link] [comments]
The year is 2005. I am 11 years old. I created my first Runescape account on the last day of school Posted: 19 Jan 2018 01:15 PM PST The year is 2018. I am 24 years old. 13 years, 2 party hats, and about 400 in-game days later. I finally maxed. I'm happy it's over, man. I'm never getting a 120. I am perfectly content with my max cape. 12 years ago I'd be going crazy over the stats and gear I have currently. I love this game. [link] [comments] |
