Hey all,

It's that time again! I like gathering comments made here so I can circulate them to staff

I'm using this as a chance to try and find what annoying issues you have in-game (could be from this weeks update or just in general) and then circulate it around the teams where necessary.

Hey team!

From 9AM UTC tomorrow (19/01/2019) one of our fantastic Environment Artists will be hosting an AMAA tomorrow. Mod AoB has been an environment artist here at Jagex for over 9 Years!

His latest work has been seen in the Lost Grove and the all new Deep Sea Fishing as seen in the Content Showcases. AoB also started the work on the Seers Village rework which is now being worked on between other jobs.

If you don't follow AoB on twitter he often posts art design brief competitions and images of his work.

[Ninja Request] Add the word "permanently" to Death's Sacrifice text box.

Just some context. I just came back after over a year of inactivity. I died on a Slayer task and was sent to Death's Office. I decided that I didn't want to pay the 2m reclaim fee (my account doesn't have a lot of gold) and chose to sacrifice my items. Bear in mind that when I last played, sacrificing items allowed you to run back to your gravestone and reclaim them. So when the text box popped up saying "Your items will be lost" I understood that to mean "your items will be lost if you don't manage to reclaim them from your gravestone." If that text box had said "Your items will be permanently lost," I would have understood that perhaps I shoudn't do this because it would have implied the fact that a gravestone would not be generated. So I'm out a Torva set because of the absence of a single word.

As I was returning from a long absence, I had no way of knowing that Death's mechanics had changed. I couldn't ask any of my friends because my friends have long since stopped playing. But even if they were on and active, I wouldn't have had any reason to ask them because, again, I had no way of knowing anything had changed about Death's mechanics. I just think adding the word "permanently" would prevent this from happening to other people.

S**ual predatory behaviour on runescape

Dear runescape community/moderators

I have recently undergone discovery and have been appalled to what i have witnessed and i believe this needs to be addressed and raise concern on the social behaviour of some (and hopefully a few) people.

In my past i have came accross the term rp (roleplay). it is an innocent form of fun where people would play as a character. this can mean a person would play in characer of a knight amongst his friends or in genral. example: ''the brave knight lifted his sword towards samuel (account k3llur234) and he yelled Duel me! for you reward in battle shall be the sum of a party hat! meet at dawn at the duel arena!''

erp (erotic roleplay)/cyber is the sexual form of rp. i wouldn't want to give an example but it is the same as rp but it is more focused on sexual behaviour/acts.

As mentioned, i had experienced all this from a different social website. i was surprised to have found out BOTH rp and erp was a thing on runescape. i didnt mind at all. as long as no-one was harmed.

i decided to discover this further and want to understand how this was done within runescape.

being an experience 'rp' person things led to erp discovery. people would wait in a certain area (lumbridge is one) and people who are interested would send that person a message with small talks such as 'hey s*xy' etc. and it would develop into an erp.

that is worrying as it is as i have come across severely abusive behaviour from those who take no for an answer. the repetitive creation of an account to manipulate the person, spreading false lies and recently making up a scenario so their friends would despise the victim from a misunderstanding due to the person misguiding.

the following led to a discord application discussion mainly

However! people who offer such services for a price. this can be items or in gp. recently a certain person suggested to send photos to gain back things that was scammed by the victim. i clearly found this appalling, disgusting and horrendous. I decided to dig deeper, i suggested google to help find me photos that could help trick this person by using images from what seemed to be from professional pornographic actresses from some professional sites.

this person would then explain that there is a website that does these sort of things. photos/vids for gp. many people seemed to know of this too.

the person suggested if that i was to work with him i could gain mill if not billion of gp. he suggested to talk to a friend of his (who would later found out how disgusting the scenario all is and unfriend him later on).

his friend didn't want any part of it.

and so i agreed with the person to continue working with him to make an advertisement with him and he requested pictures so he could set it up.

little did i know which came to no surprise that this person would also begin to preform vile and disgusting behaviour, threatening the victim with no payment and that many people had seen the ad, exposing myself (or so he thought it was me and not various different photos from google), forcing that i should send a video or else i'd have to live with myself.

as mentioned earlier, his friend (or so he claims) had disconnected further involvement with him (or so he claims) which clearly upset the person, sending a message on runescape explaining how he is upset now too and blocked my account from himself.

this was deeply troubling. thankfully i am portraying as someone else however this does not exclude the fact that this is potential sexual exploitation of people who are new, innocent or perhaps possibly younger victims who are vulnerable!!!!!

the discord discussion i have, however i have not began editing , bluing out the names as of yet but i will do so if evidence is requested ALONG with the ending part of himself being upset as he told me via runescape. that was a screenshot taken as he mentioned on discord that was his account

for the first scenario i had expressed, there was only enough i could take because of the chat would disappear and find it difficult to recollect

please do be careful and play safe. do not fall for sexual predators.

TL;DR: basically people doing sex and stuff but its been leading to sexual harassment, abuse and illegal distribution of photos for money aka, prostitution is going on in runescape and nothing is being done.
