AoD Teaching Marathon (1/27/18) Posted: 11 Jan 2018 02:29 PM PST Hey guys, For the first time i'll be running a Nex: Angel of Death marathon on January 27th (Saturday) at 14:00 game time till reset (10 hours total).The reason for these marathons are for learners that want to get into AoD to have a way of learning mechanics in an environment where they wont get scolded for doing something wrong. Anyone wanting loot or to build KC is welcome (learners preferred). The main purpose is to teach people the mechanics and how to successfully kill Nex. Players will be welcome to learn roles, however if you're new to the boss you will be a DPS. Role available to learn: -Dps (discord prefered) -Minion Tank (discord required) -Main Tank (Mt1/Mt2) (discord required) The event will be starting at 14:00 in game time and we will start calling teams in the following places: -"The ship" Clan Chat -"PvMing FC" Friends Chat -Raids Marathon - https://discord.gg/a7Gaqze Discord server -PvMing FC - https://discord.gg/GyKcbhv Discord server. Teams and guides can be found in the following Discord link found here - https://discord.gg/a7Gaqze. There will be guides for each role in the discord above We are welcome to have experienced players join kills to take on roles and help teach. If you're interested in this PM me on Discord. As this isn't raids, it will be set up differently in terms of how everything will be organized. First of all, There will be large groups consisting of 12-15 people for those that are under 10 kc. There will also be smaller groups (from 7-9 people) that will take learners based on the team and what role they learn. These smaller groups will have a kc requirement of 10 in order to join. As a learner I'd recommend bringing magic (preferably) t80 arm/weapons as a minimum with stats to match. Having overloads, yaks, and t95 prayers is also helpful but you can do without however it will be a lot harder. Edit To combat scammers and the potential of getting your loots taken from you, we will be hosting on a coinshare world, and all teams will be required to use the coinshare option. Tired of Hopping to w115 and having to change my settings again once I'm on another world, give us a warning when quick hopping? Or a checkbox saying "warn me when hopping to a legacy world" option. Make Elite Soulgazers Spawn More Quickly Posted: 11 Jan 2018 04:56 PM PST As a mechanic currently in place, if you kill a soulgazer while an elite is currently spawned, it will not take away Stalker's Gaze kills remaining, as it can't spawn another elite (this is a good thing). Suppose there are two soulgazers, A and B. You kill soulgazer A, which ends up spawning an elite. However, this takes somewhere around 10-15 seconds. If you kill soulgazer B within that spawn time, it will remove a Stalker's Gaze charge, despite the fact that you actually can't spawn an elite from soulgazer B, as the elite spawned from soulgazer A will have already spawned. This means that charges are taken away for killing soulgazers too quickly. I think that players shouldn't be penalized for spending extra effort to kill these monsters more quickly, and shouldn't be forced to kill them at a slower pace to save on charges. By decreasing the time it takes an elite soulgazer to spawn to somewhere around 5-10 seconds, this drastically lowers the amount of charges that a player might end up wasting. [link] [comments] |
