League of Legends - Patch 8.2 Bug Megathread

Patch 8.2 Bug Megathread

Posted: 23 Jan 2018 10:47 PM PST

Greetings Summoners!

With every new patch Riot introduces to balance out champions and items there are some unforeseen issues that creep up and cause disruption during gameplay. We have noticed that these issues which eventually get fixed clutter up the subreddit immediately following the patch.

We want to avoid this by having a single Megathread which will be posted after every patch so that you guys can report the various issues in one place. This allows Riot to easily keep track of the bugs by providing a central hub and also allows other users to confirm that they might have encountered.

Note only bugs caused by the 8.2 Patch should be reported below.

Pre-requisites to be noted before reporting a bug

  1. A bug must be accompanied with a screenshot or a video. This provides credibility to your report.

  2. Steps to recreate the bugs can be submitted if possible. This helps rioters recreate the bug and helps them find the cause behind it.

  3. The bug must have been caused by the latest patch.

Format when reporting a Bug: When reporting a bug, please provide as much information as you can about your computer.

• Server: The server you encountered the bug (NA, EUW, EUNE, TR, RU, BR, LAS, LAN etc)

• Type of Bug: Client Bug, In Game Bug etc

• Description: Describe what was the bug that occoured.

• Video / Screenshot: Insert screenshot (F12 in game) or Video of the bug occouring.

• Steps to reproduce: Provide the steps necessary if someone else had to reproduce the bug.

• Expected result: What should have been the result when you follow the steps mentioned above.

• Observed result: What was the result you obtained when you followed the steps mentioned above.

• Reproduction rate: If you try to recreate the bug how successful are you in causing it to occur? (1/10 : Occurs once every 10 tries, 5/10 : Occurs 5 times out of 10, 10/10 : Happens every single time)

• System specs: Processor, Video card, Ram, HDD/SSD, everything you can provide, even drivers.

Example Bug:

• Server: EUW

• Type of Bug: In Game Bug etc

• Description: Zeds R(Death mark) Does not apply secondary damage

• Insert Video / Screenshot of the incident

• Reproduction rate: 2/10 (happened 2 out of 10 times)

• Steps to reproduce:

  1. Launch a game after selecting Zed as your champion.

  2. Attempt to use death mark.

  3. Observe the result.

• Expected result: The damage should apply after a short delay, amplified by damage dealth during the effect.

• Observed result: The damage will not apply properly.

• System Specs: Intel i5 Processor, Windows 7, Nvidia Graphics card (insert model number) etc.

If you don't know how to format comments on reddit Click here

- **Server:** - **Type of Bug:** - **Description:** - **Video / Screenshot:** - **Steps to reproduce:** - **Expected result:** - **Observed result:** - **Reproduction rate:** - **System specs:**

Copy paste the above code and fill in your details.

From this megathread the list of bugs will not be summarized and put up up in the main body of the thread, however note that rioters will be going through the comments.

Shouldn't Ornn's items cost less than the store ones, since he doesn't pay for craftsmanship and sales tax?

Posted: 24 Jan 2018 04:55 AM PST

He should pretty much only pay for raw materials. Also the item upgrades for his teammates should transfer some of the cost to him. He crafts them after all. That being said I don't know the tax laws of Runeterra or the state Summoner's rift find itself in

What if there was a Pug'Maw chroma that had different breeds of dogs?

Posted: 24 Jan 2018 10:35 AM PST

This idea came during some normal games when my dog walked in and stared at me for 5 minutes while I was trying to lane. He then walked out, leaving me with the idea that, what if instead of a pug, I could make Kog'Maw a Black Lab or German Shepard. Making your pet dog come to life in game sounds quite appealing.

How many bronze Garens would it take to beat an LCS team?

Posted: 24 Jan 2018 07:22 AM PST

Obviously in a 5v5 the pros would win, but at what point are there too many bronze Garens for a pro team to handle? I'm pretty sure any pro player could 1v2 bronze Garens on any champion, so I'd imagine more than 10 would be necessary. I'm not so sure about a 1v3 though.

I just noticed when Urgot taunts Darius, he says "The hand of Noxus can be cut off, ask your master."

It really makes you wonder how far in the future Riot thinks when making VU's or champions.

For those of you that don't know, Urgot is referencing how irelia cut off Swain's hand in the new VU.

The least number of Bronze Garens able to 100% beat an LCS team

Posted: 24 Jan 2018 02:05 PM PST

So, answering the top page post through my own research in the practice tool, I'm going to give an answer on what's the least Garens needed to win (referred to as LGW).

First off, we're going to assume that this number of Garens will be so large that they'll get almost no XP if grouped together. However, I also believe that the only way to win would be to overwhelm the LCS team by running down mid with a sea of Garens before they're outscaled. Let's just say that they want to end as soon as possible and lose the least amount of minion waves as possible.

RUNES

This is probably the most optimal rune page for the Demacian Army. Demolish (most of our damage to towers) is required for this strategy. Biscuits and Second Wind are helpful for damaged Garens along with their passives, and Spellbook will assure that summoners will be up even sooner

SUMMONERS SPELLS

Smite and Teleport, no other options. With Smite, 6 Garens will Clear the first wave instantly (+3 auto attacks). Smite will also nullify any enemy minions in lane. Teleport will ensure that there were always be minions alive while sieging towers, and also will allow respawned Garens to return to the fight.

ITEMS

We're looking to close this game out ASAP, meaning Long sword starts w/ 3 health pots for everyone. We're going to assume that no Garens will back and buy anything because that makes the math a lot more annoying.

MATH

Okay, let's say we want to push down first tower with the first minion wave One Garen will deal 156 damage with Demolish Q (assuming all garens start Q). Outer Towers have 3800 health, meaning that to destroy the outer mid tower before your first 6 minions die, you would need a total of 25 Garens to insta push first tower. Let's call this wave 1, Alpha Wave.

Second tower has 3600 health, but Demolish has a 45 second cooldown so, Let's form wave 2, Beta Wave. 3600/156 = 24 Garens needed to push down the second tower. Let's just set the time for all Garens to hit the tower to be 5 seconds. After 5 seconds, Alpha Wave will have taken tower 1, and be placed on a 45 second cooldown before being able to effectively take a tower. Beta Wave should be able to run from tower 1 to tower 2 in able 5 seconds, and then take that tower in 5 more seconds.

Wave 3, of 24 more Garens (Gamma Wave) is now going to be needed to take Inhib tower, which should be the same as mid inner tower. 5 more seconds to get to tower, and 5 more to take it. Moving onto the inhib, Since Demolish can't be used, we're going to just reuse Garens. One Q onto a inhibitor is about 113 damage, so 35 Garens will be able to take this Inhib down. Time to run to and destroy should be small, probably just 5 seconds since it's so close to to it's tower.

With nexus towers, It's safe to assume our three waves of Garen Stacks should easily be able to destroy them without demolish stacks. It should take about 5 seconds for them to walk over to the nexus towers, and probably 5 more seconds to split in half and destroy them both. The Nexus should only take a few seconds, say 5 more just for the Garens to smash it.

Thus ends the game in about 2 minutes and 15 seconds, with an LGW of 73 Garens all at level 1. I believe that there is no way for any group of 5 players to counter this strategy, thus this should result in a 100% win rate in any sort of LCS game.

JAG Teddy's Tip on Vayne: "Just tumble forward and you'll naturally dodge skillshots"

Posted: 24 Jan 2018 03:45 AM PST

Has anyone noticed, in Game 3 of JAG vs SKT, that Bang's 2nd and 3rd death looked almost the same at the same position, just 33 minute later into the game.

Posted: 24 Jan 2018 09:22 AM PST

2nd death

3rd death

I just realized during work.

I was thinking if I might have rewound the video by accident, but nope. Those are different deaths, 33 minutes apart from each other. Looks kinda funny.

Also two times "Teddy finds the kill" by Achillios.

Last patch building Spellthief's Edge was meta. My guess is on this one jungle relic shield will be.

Posted: 24 Jan 2018 08:05 AM PST

Hello, I just played a game as Zac where I bought relic shield on the jungle, and it felt simply nuts. You have so many benefits, here are some:

  1. You pay 350 gold and in about 7~8 minutes you will have earned more ( like last patch )

  2. You can actually build red/blue smite and still have the warding option, which is really really good.

  3. The quest now is 500 gold, 250 gold cheaper than last patch, and the relic shield line was not made more difficult to complete while killing the jungle.

Before you could still build sightstone and red smite, but the gold you spent on sightstone did not went back to you. The relic shield goes. And on jungle it is pretty good, since you gank, and when you tax the lane the gold goes to the laner, making him not that mad from you killing minions.

Here is a picture of the game: http://puu.sh/z8D9w/f2ac076aaa.jpg

Yeah, only one game, but here is my guess. What do you all think about building it on junglers?

Edit 1:

Played some more games, and it actually went prerry well!

Cho'Gath ultimate doesn't cause explosion of blood anymore after receiving visual upgrade to his skills

Posted: 24 Jan 2018 05:44 AM PST

So as mentioned, on PBE Cho received new set of visual effects to all of his skills. While Q, W and E looks really amazing, appearance of his new ult sucks. It used to cause blood explosion, now it's just some mediocre light effect. Doesn't really fit to skill which can be used to literally delete squishy target.
