Seller's Remorse change in 8.1 is inconvenient

Posted: 14 Jan 2018 02:43 AM PST

The change i refer to is when you close the shop within 0.25 secs of a sell. that cancels the sell. At first glance it didn't bother me, but playing top lane with Klepto made it so obnoxious.

Basically the problem occurs every time you TP in lane. I have the shop open while tping buying and selling stuff and i insta close it coz, i dont like getting surprised upon tping. And BOOM. My inventory is still full coz my sales got cancelled.

Suggestion: Using TP cancels Seller's Remorse. Or better change sellers remorse to only apply on items that sell for more than 87g.

Greetings from /r/heroesofthestorm! Here are my favorite LoL Champions based solely on how cool I think they look!

Posted: 14 Jan 2018 11:25 AM PST

I've never played LoL but I like a lot of the Champion designs and will sometimes watch the spotlight videos when they pop up in /r/all. Here are my (uninformed) opinions on which Champions I think are the coolest based solely on their looks:

Nunu: My favorite by far. I love his chubby little face. I feel like he's probably not very popular though.

Jhin: Looks like someone who all of the edgelords/sniper mains tried to play when he was launched, then they dropped him because he wasn't OP. But there's probably dedicated Jhin mains out there who are amazing. Dig the performer vibe.

Lux: Every Lux player has a body pillow of her, and that's totally understandable.

Braum: This guy looks dependable. He'd help you move into a new apartment and then compliment it even though it wasn't that nice. He'd tell you "I wish I had a view like this!" even though his place is much better part of town.

Ekko: This kid looks confident and "shattering time" is an impressive feat for someone whose biceps are the same size as their wrists.

Fiddlesticks: Mr. Oogie Boogie on a diet. Fiddlesticks players used to watch Salad Fingers and listen to ICP, but they've had a few kids and mellowed out.

Bard: This guy looks very peaceful but durable. I especially like his "face". I feel like Bard players wouldn't talk to their team at all, but would be quietly doing their own thing really well.

Ornn: Ornn knows what's up.

Gnar: This little dude (or dudette) is adorable and appears to go beserk, which is always fun. Gnar players are probably either noobs who have no idea what they're doing and will drop after they die five times in a row or monsters that will carry.

Illaoi: That is one burly lady. Those intense eyes make me think she'd be a brawler.

Kindred: I don't know what these two are up to but I like it. For players who did acid once, felt connected to the soul of every being in existence, but still wanna game.

Tahm Kench: This guy fucks. Every Tahm Kench player has a body pillow of him, and that's totally understandable.

Season 8 is starting this week, lets remember the objectives of each game.

Posted: 14 Jan 2018 06:45 AM PST

With season 8 coming around the corner, lets remember the objects of what you're aiming for in each solo Q game at each stage of the game.

~Pregame Lobby~

We should aim for:

  • Banning out what should be your worst counter or something that you really don't feel confident playing against.

  • Picking champions that will give you the best odds of winning the game and not necessarily just for crushing your lane.

What we shouldn't aim for:

  • Criticizing or banning out your team's champion because you don't feel confident about their skills on those champions
  • Flaming and giving up before the game begins and starting the game off with decreased morale (dodge if you have to)

~~ Early game to mid game ~~

We should aim to:

  • Start off on the right foot with your teammates, help leash and ward for your junglers. If you're botlane, communicate your expectations and how you want to play the lane (passive? aggressive?)

  • FARM. No matter what anyone says, the early game is for farming. You can try cheesing early ganks, but unless you're at the 1% of the highest brackets, those ganks aren't going to pay dividends especially with catch up mechanics.

  • To put you in perspective to how important last hitting is, around 13 minions (around 2 waves) gives as much gold as a single kill, and is worth more than a kill because of the exp that it gives.

  • Exp is more important than gold because 1 lvl of stats earned from lvling is worth around 500-600g and that's not including the extra damage from skill lvl ups. If you're around 2 levels behind your enemy laner, you're pretty much half a completed item behind. Even if you cant get the last hit, you should always try to be in range to get exp.

  • If you are trying to gank or kill, it should be to try and deny exp / gold to the enemy laner. It shouldn't be to try and get more gold / exp (you barely get any exp from kills and you will fall behind in exp even if you do get kills when you're ganking other lanes)

  • Try to get your 2 core items + boots as soon as possible - These two items should be the only items that you ever need. Everything else is just extra. If you don't know what these are, figure out what 2 items helps gives you the most utilities to do what you need to do. Most melees build some kind of sustain and then a hybrid utility/damage item. Mages will build some kind of mana item and then spell pen so they can burst during mid game, etc.

We should not aim to:

  • Flame your teammates because of one misplay or bad situation. (There is a time and place for that but if you're in the middle of the game, the message is not going to get across.)

  • Immediately give up after one death to the other laner. Even if you die once against your lane opponent, but manage to be 13 cs above your opponent, you're even or in the lead against your opponent. As long as you're not getting zoned off your lane continuously and falling 3-4 levels behind your opponent, you can still get back into the game easily if you mange to farm well under your tower.

~mid game~

Throughout the game, The power shifts from one object to another depending on what is the most powerful and influential object that is on the map.

During the early game, Your towers are the most important thing on the map. It provides a safety net for people to fall back to if they are ganked, and also provides vision and control of an area of map which they are close to for your team. Losing a tower early game can be pretty devastating if you're playing against a coordinated team.

A lot of people start getting confused of when mid game starts, but mid game starts when the most powerful and influential object on the map is the champions on the map. People hit their lvl 6-9 power spikes and 1 - 2 completed items and now towers start being less and less influential. This is the point where the most snowballing happens and death timers are still short enough where people can take risks and not be punished too harshly.

What we should aim for during mid game:

  • Do take smart, calculated risks - Set up picks, (please ward and clear wards before you do this) gank for your other laners, try to invade (after warding) and press your advantage.

  • Do press your advantage if you have it - A lot of people don't know what to do with their advantage, and just run around trying to kill people. Kills are meaningless unless you press the advantage that you gain from having more control of the map. Follow up your kills with a push on the enemy tower / taking enemy buffs / taking dragon.

  • do still farm - If you're doing nothing but ganking and invading, you're going to fall behind in lvls. There's no exception to this other than you killing the enemy team enough that they're behind denied so much exp and farm that you're still managing to pull ahead. With catch up exp and accelerated gold income, this is going to be pretty rare unless the enemy team is just flaming each other in base and not doing much.

What we shouldn't aim for:

  • don't aim for just kda and kills: Like I mentioned before, kills are meaningless unless you follow them up with pressing an objective.

  • don't keep taking bad risks when your team is behind: A lot of aggressive players will keep playing aggressive regardless of if they're ahead or behind. If you're team is behind, continuously taking risks and challenging the enemy team is the fastest way to fall behind even more and give the enemy team a bigger lead. Best thing to do at this point is to ward the choke points to where you have control of the map and keep farming to hit power spikes and gain enough levels to where you can catch the enemy team making a mistake or get strong enough to actually contest them.

  • give up because of 1 -2 bad teamfights. The way that the game is now, you can literally spend 20 minutes building up your team, winning laning phase, grabbing objectives left and right and then just get rolled over because the enemy team just kept farming and grouped up and fought better (also, damage output is too fucking high so carries will oneshot non tanks and tanks will take 0 damage from anything other than a carry, but that's a different topic).

~Late game~

Late game is when the most important object object on the map starts to become the Baron / Elder dragon (and ofcourse the nexus). Why? Because it's when both teams are starting to reach their limit on scaling. The only way to really gain an advantage over one another (provided that they're similar in skill) is to either outplay each other or to gain baron / elder dragon buff.

We should aim to:

  • shift your mindset of the game from pvp to pve: Before, the game was about gaining an advantage and denying the enemy resources. When you're hitting late game, both teams are already reaching full resources and there's no resources to deny. The only resources left to gain or deny is vision and baron / elder. Clearing out lanes are this point should be to manage minion waves and less about gaining gold / exp unless one person is extremely behind.

  • group up - Death timers can reach 45 seconds. 45 second death timer will decide the game when both teams are fully scaled. If you do decide to split push, communicate that with the team. Don't try to split push without teleport.

  • ward - ward ward ward. But ward smart. don't try to ward the top lane jungle when you're pushing bot. Don't try to ward dragon / baron when they are on 5 minute cd. When you do ward, ping your team to help you ward. Make sure that dragon / elder is warded when they are up and clear wards around these objectives. 1 minute before each of these objectives come up, you should be heading over to these objectives to clear / place vision as a team.

What you shouldn't aim to do:

  • Avoid taking bad risks are much as possible - you will inevitably end up taking risks one way or another. Every team fight is a risk. Even going out to ward is a risk, but they're good risks to take. What I'm talking about is 1-2 people overextending to an area of the map where you have no vision while ignoring mias or people walking blind into bushes where you know enemies have been recently seen without being prepared as a team to engage / disengage at any time.

  • Don't get greedy - Know the limits of how far you can push a good team fight and when to back out. If you do decide to try and get one more tower or one more inhib when enemy team is close to respawning, make sure your whole team is in on it.

  • Don't start flaming and giving up - fastest way to throw / ruin a gain is to start tilting and throwing people off their groove. It's natural to feel helpless whenever everything thing seems to go wrong and you feel like you're stuck with bad teammates, but all you need is one good teamfight or one fuck up from the enemy team to win the game.

Last but not least, at all stages of the game, aim to have fun.

All 54 card names replaced by League champions or skins, with explanations.

Hey! After this topic, I decided to make a post about which champion of League could fit which card. The TL;DR is the table at the top, and then you have the explanation for anything you'd want below. Feel free to ctrl-F and add the number followed by ctrl-3,4,5,6 for the dance/laugh/dj sona/mastery emote color symbols.

--
1 Xerath Arcade Corki Trundle Ace of Spades Ezreal
2 Nurse Akali Blight Crystal Varus Lulu Kindred
3 Heartseeker Vayne Runeguard Volibear Vel'Koz Xin Zhao
4 Blood Moon Jhin Jhin Project Jhin High Noon Jhin
5 Pentakill Sona Pentakill Olaf Pentakill Yorick Pentakill Karthus
6 Star Guardian Urgot Skarner Vi Rumble
7 Nidalee Gnar Jayce Chosen Master Yi
8 Elise Victorious Jarvan IV Swain Azir
9 Ahri Nasus Wukong Nami
10 Draven Garen Warrior Princess Sivir Darius
J Jack of Hearts Twisted Fate Ekko Jax Order of the Lotus Karma
Q Sweetheart Xayah Queen of Diamonds Syndra Lissandra Queen Ashe
K Sweetheart Rakan Taric King of Clubs Mordekaiser King Tryndamere

Jokers: Wild Card Shaco and Kayle

Explanation! For many things, I've been basing myself on the descriptions put on the website "The cards of life". Except when there was something obvious that could be done with a champion - cough Jhin cough

1♥: Xerath.

The Aces of the deck often bring forth a strong personality, one who is eager to express their uniqueness and individuality. As a One (1) card, they can be focused on self-interests, "What's in it for me?" The Ace of Hearts♥ expression comes in the area of emotional expression, self-exploration and finding someone to love them. They do enjoy their own company and do well using alone time for personal, creative pursuits.

If I recall correctly, there was an important story about love in Xerath's lore, current or old. And then there's his search for power, to become the most powerful being, and to dethrone Azir, which were fitting for a number 1.

2♥: Nurse Akali. Akali is all about duality, hence the 2, and uhm... Nurse for the heart part.

3♥: Heartseeker Vayne: Three-hit passive and Heartseeker skin.

4♥: Jhin.

5♥: Pentakill Sona: All the Fives for Pentakill, and Sona fits the Heart theme the most.

6♥: Star Guardian Urgot. Yes. Someone told me this: "No Star Guardian Urgot 2/10".
And that person was totally right! Six legs, star guardian for the heart, nothing to say.

7♥: Nidalee. She has seven abilities and I don't think I need to expand on the heart part. There's another subreddit for that.

8♥: Elise. Eight legs and my memories of her login speech give a certain impression of charming and luring.

9♥: Ahri. Nine tails and all the charming part.

10♥: Draven.

No one enjoys an audience more than the Ten of Hearts person. These people love being up front, noticed and admired. Naturally expressive and creative, they excel in public arenas. Numerologically, all Tens are basically a One with a Zero behind it, causing them to be distracted with self-interest and self-love. The Ten of Hearts person is no exception. With two Aces in their life script, they naturally focus on their own needs and wants. They are here to learn to include the needs of others to help them grow as an individual.

That's just Draven entirely!

J♥: Jack of Hearts Twisted Fate: Name.

Q♥: Sweetheart Xayah because of https://www.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends/comments/7q5vui/queen_of_hearts_xayah_king_of_hearts_rakan/

K♥: Sweetheart Rakan because of https://www.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends/comments/7q5vui/queen_of_hearts_xayah_king_of_hearts_rakan/

1♦: Arcade Corki: He's a pilot, an ace was fitting. Besides, diamonds are a currency in some games, hence the Arcade.

2♦: Blight Crystal Varus: He's two people now! And, diamond, crystal.

3♦: Runeguard Volibear. For those who know who that champ is, he has a three-hit passive. Besides, that skin seems to have gems on it. Also...

Deciding what they value plagues the Three of Diamonds more than anything else. Typical of all Threes, indecision and uncertainty are hallmarks of this card.

When people pick Volibear, they were certainly uncertain of what to pick going into the game. Lastly, 3 can also be the number of Volibear players.

4♦: Jhin.

5♦: Pentakill Olaf: Pentakill for the 5's, and:

Not one to be hemmed in, the Five of Diamonds finds satisfaction in personal freedom. Travel, adventure and living by their own rules, these people seek fulfillment in their lives while resisting settling down long enough to create stability.

Olaf spends his life travelling to find strong, mythical monsters and face them in the hopes of dying.

6♦: Skarner. Six-legged and crystals.

7♦: Gnar. He has seven abilities, and:

This Venus influence bestows an artistic flair, a love of nature and beauty and a certain social charm like no other.

I think the charm and nature part don't need an explanation.

8♦: Victorious Jarvan IV.

Powerful people make you sit up and take notice and that is certainly the experience with the Eight of Diamonds, also known as the card of fame and fortune. They like to take charge, be out in front and be recognized for their achievements. Their Jupiter position in the center of the Crown Line in the Master Life Script indicates recognition for their achievement and the capacity to achieve magnificently. Their driving need to succeed can lend people of this card to be a bit controlling, especially through their power and authority.

He's a leader, and Victorious is there to underline the achievements part.

9♦: Nasus.

After lifetimes of collecting, creating and receiving, the Nine of Diamonds completes this cycle of its soul evolution through giving and releasing to others in this lifetime.

The cycle of life and death continues... and he's there to control that of the others. And that quote just fits what he is in the lore, anyway.

10♦: Garen.

Leading their own business or being a business leader brings them the best opportunities for financial independence. Their Queen of Diamonds card in Jupiter suggests this innate leadership ability with a head for business. It also suggests a desire for a lavish lifestyle, so self-discipline is necessary to resist overspending. Their Ace of Diamonds card in Mars suggests ambition and drive with a touch of impatience as well. This combination supports one in having their own business or enterprise that should be quite successful.

Garen is a leader, is in a powerful Demacian house, and the Legends Never Die video shows a lot about the ambition and drive.

J♦: Ekko.

Like all Jacks in the deck, the Jack of Diamonds is young at heart, playful and social with a nimble mind. Whether promoting themselves, selling goods and services, or bartering, Jack of Diamonds people know how to make connections and close the deal. They have the ability to wheel and deal their way through life. The Eight of Hearts in Jupiter in their life's script suggests mixing business with pleasure – a Jack feature that certainly makes life more fun.

Only things that fit his lore and persona!

Q♦: Queen of Diamonds Syndra: Name.

K♦: Taric: Someone told me that he should be the King of Diamonds. That person was right.

1♣: Trundle: Well, clubs. Number 1 was fitting for a king, too.

2♣: Lulu: Two because of Pix, and:

Gregarious and entertaining, the Two of Clubs person loves to socialize and be with others who enjoy talking and sharing ideas. Always curious, they seek to know what motivates a person, which can serve them well, whether as a counselor or even an actor.

That felt rather fitting. About the end of the second sentence, after "curious"... That could remind me of the Lulu/Varus pairings, but I learned that Lulu mains could behead people for mentioning that.

3♣: Vel'Koz: Three-hit passive and:

Blessed with mental agility, the Three of Clubs can apply their fantastic mind to just about any endeavor.

4♣: Jhin.

5♣: Pentakill Yorick: Five for Pentakill, he has a shovel for the club, but also this:

Learning through experience is an accurate description of the Five of Clubs, a gatherer of all life has to offer. Adventurous to the core, much is gained through discovery, exploring new places and researching new ideas. Restlessness is a common denominator of all Fives, but the Five of Clubs is perhaps the most restless of them all. It's not uncommon for a Five of Clubs to explore entirely new lifestyles.

That also seems fitting for Yorick. Especially by playing on the words "gatherer of all life" and "explore entirely new life".

6♣: Vi: VI and six in roman numbers, and this:

Finding and aligning with truth is the highest expression of the Six of Clubs. They represent the power, and the karma, of the spoken word. Conversely, being less than honest brings consequences of that negative energy as well. Finding one's truth [...]

For a police officer, that sounds about fair.

7♣: Jayce: Seven abilities, and:

The Sevens are the most spiritual cards of the deck and the task of this Seven is to bring the spiritual aspect of knowledge into the mundane physical world. With such a creative, intellectual prowess, the Seven of Clubs has much to offer when aligned with a positive attitude. Highly analytical and observant, they are a natural when it comes to acquiring new information and knowledge. They are quite resourceful as well as creative.

For the inventor that Jayce is, that's fitting.

8♣: Swain:

Through concentrated mental focus, there is little that the Eight of Clubs person cannot accomplish. As one of the three Fixed Cards in the Cards of Life, the Eight of Clubs expresses with "fixed" determination to achieve its goals. Highly intuitive, people with this card can read a situation and intuit the next move rather easily, resulting in mental agility like no other card in the deck. Knowledge is power and they will learn all they can to achieve success.

For a mastermind and strong tactician.

9♣: Wukong:

Broadminded, and even shrewd at times, the Nine of Clubs brings to this lifetime unique perspectives and the ability to persevere to see them through. Maintaining a positive outlook is foundational to the success of any endeavor, particularly when it appears that the outcome it is out of one's hands. The essence of this Clubs♣ card is the power of positive thinking coupled with the energy of completions. This person, very early in life, may experience challenging losses and endings. From quite a young age, the Nine of Clubs person experiences the essence of their card: maintaining a positive outlook in difficult situations strengthens, seeking creative solutions enhances, turning to a higher power for inspiration, guides.

Wukong is all about trying to improve, to overcome the challenges, and to eventually reach the top.

10♣: Warrior Princess Sivir:

The Ten of Clubs person often presents themselves as one of the royal court because of its placement on the Crown Line even though they are actually not a Jack, Queen or King.

Warrior "Princess".

Focus on a subject of interest and receive great benefits. In other words "know what you know and the money will follow"

She's a mercenary, getting payed for doing what she does best.

Due to a life-long desire to learn and grow, finding just one career path and sticking to it can be most challenging for this card. However, once that decision is made, there's no stopping Ten of Clubs people.

Again, she's a mercenary, she doesn't pick a side (instead of career path), but once she's paid by one, there's no stopping her.

J♣: Jax, jacks, hey. And a club, but imagine if he had a real weapon.

Q♣: Lissandra: She's one of the queens of the Freljord.

These people usually enjoy work that involves application of the mind: communications, organizing or, on the spiritual spectrum, intuitive and psychic work. A quick study, the Queen of Clubs truly enjoys being well informed on any topic of their choosing.

She's also all been about manipulating and waiting for the best time to strike back.

K♣: King of Clubs Mordekaiser: Name, and a numero uno can be a king. Also, King of Clubs sounds like King of Bugs.

1♠: Ace of Spades Ezreal: Name.

2♠: Kindred: They're two.

The Two of Spades has a unique ability to harmonize and balance relationships. In general, Twos often have a desire to partner and be in union with others.

They do have a unique ability to harmonize their duet, in the theme of death.

3♠: Xin Zhao: Three-hit things (passive and Three Talon Strike). Also, seems like his weapon choice fits the spade.

4♠: Jhin.

5♠: Pentakill Karthus: Five for Pentakill, and then Karthus.

Free spirit best describes the true nature of the Five of Spades. Travel and adventure keep this one feeling alive and often the adventure may be linked to the career opportunities. They dislike routine and restrictions of any kind.

Being a lich does keep him feeling alive, and not just feeling. And he doesn't have as many restrictions as in life, as an undead.

6♠: Rumble. Did you notice how much Rumble's kit was about 6? The Q's cooldown used to be 6 at all ranks and it still is 6 at rank 5, the W's cooldown is 6 at all ranks, the E's cooldown was 10 at all ranks (and is still 10 for a double harpoon) meaning 6 on 40% CDR, the passive lockout lasts for 6 seconds, Rumble needs 6 abilities to reach 100 heat from 0, and four of his abilities have a 30% of 60% AP scaling.

7♠: Chosen Master Yi: Master Yi has seven eyes, his passive used to be on his seventh attack, his ult lasts for 7 seconds plus 7 per kill. And that:

As one of the most spiritual cards in the deck, the Seven of Spades is here to learn faith and trust, particularly in the areas of their health and their work. They need to focus on higher values in order to receive the blessings available to them. Life's reality does challenge their high ideals from time to time, thus the need for faith and trust.

He needs faith and trust in the Force, as a Jedi.

8♠: Azir.

All Eights exude power, but the Eight of Spades is the "Eight of the Eights" in the Cards of Life. Strong-willed and determined, this Eight can move mountains if it suits them, whether it is in health, healing or work.

Fitting for an Emperor!

9♠: Nami.

The Nine of Spades has the strongest calling to let go of attachments in life and move toward giving to others. Answering the call of a spiritual life and trust in a benign universe is the life task of the Nine of Spades person. Influenced heavily by kingly energy, a certain amount of dignity accompanies this card.

Nami lost her human life due to her will to help the others (cf. Oceans to Rivers story). She was as a human, is as a mermaid, is in her quest to find the Moonstone, and is as an Aquamancer, dedicated solely to help the others. And she was very highly respected and valued by all, both as a human and as a mermaid, because of this.

10♠: Darius. He had to be on the same number as Draven, and this:

Whatever the Ten of Spades works toward, it's full speed ahead. Due to this inner drive, they may achieve great success in their career.

Referring to the comic about Draven and him, and to his verse in This is War 1, Darius does have a strong will and resolve, and that has led him to success.

J♠: Order of the Lotus Karma.

Charming, resourceful, personable and easy-going best define the Jack of Spades. Blessed with a creative mind, this one-eyed Jack of the deck manifests easily the object of their desire. A challenge for them is to operate with integrity and honesty.

Charming, resourceful, creative mind. About the integrity and honesty, I stand by the fact that there is a big part of hypocrisy in the high Ionian spheres.

Q♠: Queen Ashe: She's a queen and this was the only place with a free queen and king.

K♠: King Tryndamere: He's a king and this was the only place with a free queen and king.

Joker 1: Wild Card Shaco: Shaco without the need of an explanation, and he has a skin for the cards.

Joker 2: Kayle. Jokers have a tendancy of being able to do anything. Kayle can do it too.

Edited for a better formatting.

**[AMA request]** Riot cinematic team

Posted: 14 Jan 2018 01:08 PM PST

In view of the most recent awesome League of Legends cinematic (but also older cinematics like Worlds' teaser, Warwick teaser, and New dawn) I wanted to ask a few questions:

  1. How big is the Riot team working on these cinematics? Is it always roughly the same team working on the different projects?

  2. What does the entire process look like from beginning to end (from script writing towards the final product)? How much time is involved?

  3. How do the different branches within the team (animators, writers, visual designers and sound/music department) work together efficiently?

  4. How does the final cinematic end up in one unified style, while multiple people with different styles are working on it?

  5. What are the chances that Riot will make a LoL related movie?

  6. What has been the cinematic (or part of it) you are most proud of?

I'm sure there are many more questions to be asked by the community!

Nick Allen: secret LCS owner meetings, why CLG left CS:GO, big CLG changes, upcoming announcements

Posted: 14 Jan 2018 08:02 AM PST

I'm above D1 but I don't understand several macro mechanics.

Posted: 14 Jan 2018 03:49 AM PST

When you get the first three enemy outer towers the game is pretty much over. The absence of the turrets don't seem to be doing anything. What is making it very hard for the enemy team to come back?

How valuable is middle inhibitor ? It seems the enemy team will be able to shove it anyways and follow you to any objective. A side inhibitor seems more valuable since the team can only send one person to shove it and that person can be caught out. But with a middle inhibitor the enemy team usually will be able to push it together and stay grouped from what it appears to me.

If the enemy laner cannot poke you down effectively during lane phase, is it better to let the wave shove to you to allow jungler ganks? Shoving the lane just seems to make it impossible for your jungler to gank and makes it more likely that you will get ganked.

I know what I don't know but don't know how to know it.

Garena players pretty much get free perma EXP boosts

We have a mobile app that allows us to spin a wheel every 8hours, it normally rewards us with BE or EXP boosts. My purchase history is almost entirely filled with these free exp boosts, it's really handy.

With Season 8 just around the corner, I took it upon myself to create a definitive tier list to help you climb.

Posted: 14 Jan 2018 07:48 AM PST

With Season 8 coming up, I've decided that it's actually time to help my bronze friends climb out of their cruddy lives. With the tier list below, anyone can rise at least 5 ranks (money-back guarantee! (Disclaimed: I can not guarantee that your money-back guarantee is guaranteed).

The Tier List!

I've been playing the game for nearly three weeks now, so I think I'm qualified to give you my master knowledge on who the best champions are right now. I studied the art of Tier Listing at UC Berkley, and double majored in Tier List Development and Management (as well as a minor in Philosophy), so this isn't my first time doing something like this. Anyway, enough wasting your time.

Note: There was a limitation in creating the Tier List - mainly due to the fact that many of the contenders are literally unavailable. I've limited myself to things you are guaranteed to actually get to use in 8.1, although for certain cases I've already explained my thoughts on their placement on the tier list. (There are two exceptions, which I'll explain more in the comments below).

The Tier List (Again)!

An explanation of what belongs in each of the tiers follows, but for even more in-depth info, check my comment below.

S-Tier: S-Tiers all have a single thing in common: Flexibility. While most of the contenders are strong due to their ability to do their job very well, the S-Tiers are either masters of all or the best at a single thing.

A-Tier: The A-Tiers are all strong, but most of them lose out by either being too tame or too specific. While a few of them may be under optimized, the majority of them have actually dropped in rankings and may decline into B-Tier as more emotes are introduced.

B-Tier: The B-Tiers are all discounts S-Tiers. Many of them serve multiple purposes and keep that flexibility that makes S-Tiers so strong, but due to their strengths lacking they end up failing in the long run. B-Tiers are all good secondaries, and I'd recommend keeping one on you at all times. A few of the B-Tiers also have unoptimized builds if you want to try to innovate in those areas, though I'd recommend against that.

C-Tier: There are actually two kinds of C-Tiers - those that whose only optimal builds are extremely specific, or those who are just completely useless for climbing. The latter are all pretty, though, so if that's your thing go ahead.

D-Tier: D-Tiers are actually approaching levels so low that you may be better off taking nothing than these. They are ugly, useless, and have no direction. I recommend selling your account if you accidentally pull of these from your loot box, as you can cut your losses before your buyer notices you own them.

The Special Cases

In regards to the special cases, I've said basically everything I needed to say in the tier list itself. I'm not going to go over any of these in my comment below, so you may think of them what you will.

I wish there were more AP items in the game

Posted: 14 Jan 2018 12:43 AM PST

It would be more interesting to me, if there were more item options for mages. I think tanks and ADCs have very good itemization and so do bruisers/fighters. But mages kind of have to build the same shit every game.

There's not a lot of room for inovation and creativity, because the core item, Morellonomicon, is just too powerful to be ignored in most champions. I hope that when the new AP item that is gona take Frost Queen's Claim's active gets added into the game can be an opportunity to look at AP itemization.

I think that coming up with new builds and rune combinations is one of the most fun parts of the game, so I'd love it if some more items got added to different classes in the near future, it's the only thing I miss about those Class Updates.

EDIT: Some of you pointed out that there were new items that build from Lost Chapter seen on a livestream, so I found the thread they were refering too. And here is a post about possible changes to AP items.

Giving out blue essence for watching lcs?

Posted: 13 Jan 2018 02:51 PM PST

It would be a great way to appeal for newer players since they are the ones that need blue essence the most and riot doesn't lose that much since it isn't giving out keys or chests. It would probably boost viewership numbers which seems an important variable to appeal sponsorships for teams and riot itself

Riot Should Partner with Netflix and Make a Short Animated Series.

Posted: 14 Jan 2018 12:35 PM PST

First off, I want to thank Riot for the outstanding job they did with the new animation for Season 8. The Climb is easily one of the best animations they have ever put out, and it just left me wanting so much more.

Which brings me to the idea that a short animated series of League would be phenomenal, especially with the quality of work Riot has been putting out. If they made something similar to last year's Castlevania anime, with the main idea being to show a story from each of the major regions of Runeterra, I think most of the community would jump all over it.

But that's just a rough idea, what do you guys think? What would you want Riot to do if this ever happened?
