I read a bunch of stories in r/nosleep and have to see something wholesome. Let me give an example, Father, even after you destroy the Instute gives you a chance to became a dad/mom by giving you a synth shaun programmed to think it's your son.

Spent NYE playing the Fallout board game with my sons, 13 and 11. We had a good 3-4 hour play session. Figured out the rules and play mechanics and had a great time. Highly recommended for Fallout fans.

The only thing I asked for for Christmas was the Fallout board game, and my wife (and our local board game store) came through. I am well past my partying days so I stayed in with my boys while we played the first real playthrough of the game. I'm pretty new to this style of premium board game but once we got everything down, it was so fun. I really like the encounter choices you have and the references to not only FO4 but also 3. I didn't notice any FNV references yet, but we only played through the first campaign.
Here we are progressing through the game.

I hope they release some booster packs with new scenarios and characters, etc...

Would you buy a remake of the original non-Bethesda fallout games?

I feel as this is an interesting discussion to have as the first two Fallout games, while largely known to the public, haven't seen as much popularity. What I'm wondering is if anyone would be willing to buy not a remastering, but a remake of the game using the current game engine with the same story. While it might not work due to the games not being built this way, it would be able to work with only a bit of modification.
Perhaps to please older fans, it could even come packaged with a copy of the original FO1 and FO2. I'd support this, mostly due to the fact that I've only been able to play these games when I was 12, and I have only a vague memory after playing with it at my uncles house when I told him that his birthday gift of FONV was currently, and still is, my favorite game of all time. Now another problem would be who to develop it, as Bethesda is much better suited to their current product. I personally think Obsidian is suited for the task as many of the employees there are remnants of Black Isle and know the original games well. So TL;DR, would you buy a remake and who'd you like to develop it?

It seems like this could of been the chance for us to see a different side of Caesars legion that convinces people to join them through diplomacy rather than violence, also couldve had some interesting stuff with Joshua in a situation like that.

I may have missed something but it seems like her big adventure to clear a vault out of gunners to get clean feels like it could be circumvented through some addictol or a doctor visit.

[Bug,maybe] [Fallout 1] Strength at 1 (was at 3)

My character just finished repairing the power armour in the bunker but i couldn't equip it because I didn't have enough room in my inventory. I already used my buffout. I checked the character menu and it said i was strength 1 even though i have been doing strength 3 the entire game. I am radiated and have the flower child perk if that can help.

First New Vegas Playthrough, Cannot Continue Support Of Mr. House Due To Bug

[Spoilers from New Vegas below]

I just finished getting the Platinum Chip by killing Benny with a silenced pistol in his casino. I then got approached by some NCR and Legion representatives asking me to meet them. I had no intention of joining the Legion at that point, but thought I'd hear them out as well as the NCR.

So I went to visit Cesar and he literally forces you to use the Chip to destroy something of Mr. House's. I tried everything to get the Chip back peacefully, but ended up simply shooting down the Legion troops in the room of the bunker they want me to blow up and I high tailed it out of there with a Stealth Boy and Legion disguise.

I then realized I do want to support Mr. House. I gave him the Chip and he wants me to do something else for him next. Problem is, he says I need to go back to the Fort.

My only choices in this dialogue are to complain "I don't plan to go to the Fort", "The Legion is hostile to me" and other things along those lines. After Mr. House tells me he still wants me to go, there is no option for me to agree. All I can say is "No deal Mr. House", or "I don't plan on going to the Fort", or "I gave you the Chip, now we're done". But I want to continue Mr. House's quest!

I'm not sure if I bugged the game by going to Cesar first then betraying him in the bunker room. I have a save right before I arrive at the Fort, but I did a a few side quests afterwards as well. Going back to that save means losing 5 hours of game time and some lucky drops.

Is there any way to fix this? Thanks all.

Shooting limbs off in F4VR?

Question: Did hacking / shooting off the limbs of dead bodies go away after f:nv? I've never played f4 before so I don't know if I just haven't enabled it somehow, but so far it's a bummer. It feels much less gory.

[Help] Bizzare New Vegas/FO3 Glitch on Xbox 360

I have this controller (My only controller) and it has a weird bug happening where my right analogue stick is sticking when I try to look to the bottom left. Anybody else ever get this?

And I know it's not my controller, every other game but these two play fine. I deleted the TU and cleared system cache.
