This is what it has come to? People are so salty that they need to abuse a person online into submission.

You know you fucked up when people are choosing this over the main stream

Looks like ESL is willing to use threats to shut down English streams.

Add a creep camp in the hero demo??

Posted: 23 Jan 2018 07:47 AM PST

I think adding one creep camp in the hero demo would be nice to test hero's like ench and Chen. It would also be nice to practice stacking with kunkka torrent or lion stun.

The ESL english production is actually amazing. The streaming platform was just a really bad decision.

Posted: 23 Jan 2018 06:05 AM PST

If you switch on the facebook stream, its actually so good in terms of production (not stream quality, which sucks.) .
The talent are doing a spectacular job.
Its just so sad to see so few viewers watching the stream.

ESL VP’s latest tweet...

Posted: 23 Jan 2018 10:05 AM PST

Good job ESL.

You decide to only stream on Facebook and managed to make the stream late when you know many are only going to give you one chance. Solid, very solid.

Update: Stream starts 27 minutes late. Pauls microphone is fucked. Fantastic ESL really making this worth it for those facebook viewers all 1k of them. This is gold.

Update: The viewer numbers are managing to drop even after audio fix. Literal 700 viewer minor as i type this.

Update: It Appears either ESL pulled their head out of their ass half way or someone is pulling a scamaz but for now atleast there is a B stream on twitch at https://www.twitch.tv/esl_one_genting It still is only one stream. BlessRNG that we may soon be rid of Facebook.

Update: It appears our last hope has been abolished from the face of Twitch. There is no longer hope. However the ESL Website is currently fixed. Each english stream now links to the appropriate stream. It still uses Facebook Player but minus the stupid fucking emojis flying across the screen at the speed of fucking stupid.

The solution to all of this is the return of the compendiums

Posted: 23 Jan 2018 08:06 AM PST

Look, tournaments want to make money,we want to give money, How can we do it? Well, give us back compendiums valve

I know you took them away because of TI. Just fix TIs prizepool to 20 -25 mil and let us help these tournaments with a battlepass, integrated compendiums chests or something.

This shit only happens because tournaments sell out to shit like facebook while we have a solution to help them.

Would a fixed 25 mil TI lessen it? no,it would also solve the problem in case it ever will be lower than the year before.

If you want this DPC to work, you need to give us the ability to help them in some way or they ll fuck us over for $$$$$ any day of the week

Introducing ESLOnTwitch. A browser extension for watching ESL One Genting on their Twitch pages.

Posted: 23 Jan 2018 07:24 AM PST

DISCLAIMER: Yes this uses the facebook stream, just with the normal twitch GUI. I can't do anything to get around this.

Hey everyone! With the amazing talent and production coming out from ESL One Genting it's sad to see it all being sent to such a bad platform! So I've decided to make an extension for chrome/firefox to fix this.

You can download (and review the source code) here: https://github.com/NotABaby/ESLOnTwitch/

It simply replaces the twitch streams with the Facebook streams, but it did take a few hours to make it work properly so I would appreciate if you share it around.

All information on installation is on the Github page (link above). Anyways good luck to the teams and everyone else involved.

Also.

Fuck Suckerberg!

EDIT: It says "Video Unavailable" since the streams aren't up. When they come up it should work. If it doesn't say that, the extension hasn't been properly installed.

PPD stream vs Official (Not about platform)

Posted: 23 Jan 2018 08:37 AM PST

Hey guys,

First of all let me begin by saying that I'm just a 2K scrub. Anyways I watched NaVi vs EG on the official stream. Had some issues so didn't get to watch the entirety of it. Came to know of the ppd stream from reddit later and just finished watching that now.

It was so interesting to see how differently the pros read the entire game (draft to finish) from the analysts and the casters. Analysts and casters thought EG had the better draft with Trent thinking that EG had the easier to execute draft. While watching ppd stream everybody agreed that NaVi had by far the better and easier to execute draft. Let me frame this by informing you that I have been a huge NaVI fan since 2012. And even though they have been perfoming well recently, draft is still an issue for them sometimes. So I remember fretting about NaVi and their drafting while listening to the official cast up until the chrono into snowball. It felt so wonderfully different while listening to the ppd stream (kinda like the protagonist in About Time).

I remember how the casters were predicting won lanes for EG and how Suma1L had an easy lane and being perplexed when he did bad. Zai and others had called out how tough his lane was from the beginning.

The pros had caught how misery was getting levels and navi wasnt punishing him for a while before they made their move with the casters catching just the fag end.

I could give many more such examples. It was literally like watching 2 different games for the majority. My point of this post is not to call out Godz , Trent, Blitz or Nahaz. They do their jobs to the best of their ability. The difference in mechanical skill between a 6K like Blitz and other pros would probably not be much. But the reason they are not pros is (probably) because in the difference in how they read the game, their decision making and such. I watched a recent Blitz stream of Arteezy playing storm where after using the courier during jungling he used the courier for vision to stack a camp. Blitz said on stream that was something he would not have thought of.

So then (apparently) my post does not have any point. The reason why I highlighted this is because when I first watched the game, my understanding of it was EG had the better draft, laned better, won lanes, lost one team fight (snowball into chrono) and all of a sudden NaVi had a more commanding position. And there have been many games where my take away has been the same. One team has better everything one lost team fight later the other team is in command. So watching the pros stream was such a huge eye opener as to what was really going on, I just felt I had to make a post.

TL DR: Pros read the game much better than casters and analyst. _(o i o)_/
