Destiny is a great game (for me)

If I would believe everything I've read about Destiny 2 online I would think it is a 1/10 never play again game.

But I just came back from a couple of weeks break. Moved to PC from PS4. Must say I'm in love with this game. I haven't played any FPS with better a controller, maybe some of the Halo games.

There are tons of stuff to do each day, I play regularly about 4h a day. I haven't liked a games this much since I don't know.

It's a shame that the game is getting so much hate.

I think that if you wanna play a game for 24h a day, 7 days a week then this is not the game for you. There's not enough content for that, but I think the content that there is is pretty good.

I don't know, I just wanted to voice my opinion and I like destiny. Maybe it's easier to like if you don't care so much about cosmetics/loot boxes.

Before I begin, I apologize if this is all over the place and if this is super cheesy.

Destiny was my first "community-involved" game. More importantly, it was the first game where i could play with random strangers and even develop friendships with them. Some of my closest friends are players that I met trying to cheese Crota. Destiny created memories that I will always have and I cannot thank this community enough for making that happen.

That's why it hurts to see Destiny 2 in the state that it's in. None of my friends play anymore and while we still talk and occasionally play other games together, it doesn't feel the same. It just doesn't. I know I'm not the only one with similar experiences. Destiny just had that, for lack of a better term, "magic" that could bring us all together. No other game has been able to replicate that, at least for me.

I completely understand if you still enjoy Destiny 2, and that's fine. I'm glad that Destiny 2 is still bringing joy to fellow Guardians. But it's not to me. I do feel burned by Bungie but I don't hate them. I just want that "magic" back in Destiny 2.

I know emotions are high right now and I'll admit I'm guilty of adding to the toxicity that is within this community right now. I'm sorry for doing so. But the next time you see someone say that they hate bungie or they're never coming back, just remember that most don't actually mean that. I know there are better ways to convey emotion and I will try to do better next time. I also know some people are straight up trolling. I can't speak for everyone. I guess I just wanted to make this to show that we're not all "Destiny haters". Some of us are just sad that this game didn't live up to its full potential. I fully realize how silly that just sounded but I don't know, it's just where I'm at.

I guess I just needed to get this off my chest. I don't expect everyone to agree with me and that's fine. Thanks for reading.

Edit: Seriously everyone, thank you for taking the time to even read this. Honestly this was more for myself, like a bit of therapy and I do feel better now that I've gotten this out here. I do wanna clear a couple of things up. I have moved on from Destiny 2 and started playing other games. I'll probably be back when all the updates come in in this fall. To everyone still enjoying the game, I'm glad you are, sincerely.

So with the prevelance of BR games and the decline in player population I've been thinking that maybe a battle royale mode is what Destiny 2 needs to revitalize crucible. Ideas for this?
