The Siren: Siren's Song - You emit a song that causes all Survivors to 'drop their guard' after 10 seconds. This causes their auras to be revealed. Sarah - "I think there's more to it... There's a decay to it after a certain time. It's kind of like a madness thing, but with auras." Mathieu - "I think that this would force us to create a map with an aquatic theme. Like a lake or river..."
The Pyromaniac: Flamethrower - You charge up the power, and it releases a cone of fire for 3 seconds that induces a burning state. This burning state must be cleansed ('doused' by another Survivor) otherwise the Survivor will be downed. Mathieu - "Okay. Why does that bring so many inappropriate images? So let's put the dousing in the maybe pile. But that's kinda cool. It would be a really cool fire effect."
The Convict: Bullwhip - Unleashes a long-ranged attack after a short windup time. Sarah - "So this was posted before The Huntress came out." Mathieu - "A short-ranged kind of repeat thing could be interesting. Like you can't do the across the map thing, but you never run out of ammo."
The Bride [Bloody Mary]: Reflection - Can create a doppelganger reflection of The Survivors. The doppelganger runs around and behaves normally. The Bride can assume control of these reflections and see what they see. Attacking through this shatters the reflection and reveals The Bride. Mathieu - "That's a pretty cool one." Q&A
Mathieu - "I assume you mean in-game... But in your loadout so you can drop shit you don't want." Sarah - "I don't think it's off the table, we just need to figure out the right time and how it fits in with all of the other features."
Mathieu - "I would call them servants, too. I might be wrong."
Mathieu - "We're addressing the global balance, and the idea for [Thomas and the team] is to try and make it so that the solo experience for the Survivor is closer to the experience of Survivors with friends. And at the same time, making all of these Survivor experiences balance with the Killer."
Mathieu - "That is correct. Ultra Rares do not drop in chests anymore. They are for the Bloodweb only. What might happen is that some add-ons might get their rarity lowered so that they might drop in chests, instead of saying that some add-ons will appear but not others."
Mathieu - "Yeah, that's a difficult one. I'm not gonna get into it right now. It would be nice to limit that, but then it would probably also mean that some people are just plain told 'you can never play.' "
Mathieu - "Well, this is Soon™."
Sarah - "Five Nights at Freddy's." Mathieu - "The Hunter from Left for Dead."
Mathieu - "Well thank you, and probably. As we continue telling the story of Dead By Daylight, you will see more and more bits of that Entity."
Mathieu - "Sure, we can do that. You can also look at some of our early videos..." [Recently, in Developer Stream #72, Ash and Dave talked about some inspiration the team had for the game.]

Mathieu - "I asked Thomas, and his answer was very complex (and in French) and the short answer is that the Daily Rituals are not in their final form. We're retouching the progression and reward system, and we wanna make sure the Daily Rituals will reward casual players but also offer something exciting for those who are extreme players."
Mathieu - "I asked Horvath... It's in the long-time plan. It's not that crazy, and there are quite a lot of different versions of them. Two of them have been publicly available. The idea is that we have one released as a full-on one."
Mathieu - "Most likely not. The way we have to ping your geolocation is more accurate because it's not a personal choice. We'll probably keep it at that."
Mathieu - "No plans right now, mostly because it would need to be a completely different version of the game."
Mathieu - "We did some changes on the way the mist is rendered. It had an effect on the gameplay. We're not exactly happy, so we're gonna change it again."
Mathieu - "Wouldn't that be good?" Sarah - "It's something to think about."
Mathieu - "That's something we wanna get. It'll probably be a place where people can showcase things they've created for us using our system, so that if the community wants it, we can take it and put it in the game with minimal pain."
Mathieu - "No, we can not."
Mathieu - "Do you have a plan for that?" Sarah - "Yeah. That, specifically probably not [yet worked on]."
Mathieu - "Since Day 1, we've wanted that. The bigger issue is the same as why you drop out of a game and can't go back in, is the fact that the system doesn't have an overwatcher to make sure where you are at all times, so once you're disconnected you're disconnected and back in the void. It's been my top-priority for two months, I haven't worked on it yet."
Mathieu - "To be unfair, to give Survivors a disadvantage so they prepare for what they think is coming and the Killers can see what's being prepared and react to that."
Sarah - "Unfortunately, no. When we started the game, we made some decisions on how the accessories are grouped up, and [as a result] that kind of detail is not gonna happen." Let's Try To Figure Out Who The New Killer Is Posted: 12 Jan 2018 04:17 AM PST I know we don't have a lot of information, but we do have some information, at least enough to speculate. Anyways, for those that haven't seen them yet, here's what we know: New Killer Perk: The Hangman's Trick "Hooks destroyed by Sabotage or Sacrifices repair after 30|20|10 seconds, and you gain a notification when someone starts sabotaging the hooks." https://imgur.com/iw34uTE New Survivor Perk: Tenacity "There's nothing stopping you. Your ferocious tenacity in dire situations allows you to crawl 30%|40%|50% faster and recover at the same time." Notice that there's no image for Tenacity. The devs said they didn't want to release that image because it would give away either the survivor or killer that they were releasing. When asked whether or not the killer would be free or paid DLC, they replied with: "Uh, I cannot comment on this right now." This leads me to believe it will be an original killer, as they've been open in the past with whether or not they were working on a paid DLC, but I'm not concrete on that. I could be entirely wrong. Can we please fix Scratch Marks Posted: 12 Jan 2018 07:38 AM PST Scratch Marks are the most inconsistent feature in the game. It's already annoying that the Marks cover a wide area. You could be chasing a Survivor and they go right, but the Scratches are so wide that they trail enough left that it's possible to think they actually went left. That part is annoying, and while I'd like more straight-forward Scratch Marks, that's not the main issue. It's the Scratch Marks that appear in the most off-the-wall (or maybe on the wall) places when nobody is around to begin with. I just played a game where I was guarding an Exit Gate. There was a single player left and there was nonstop Scratches being thrown around the INSIDE of the Gate. He was nowhere near the inside of this Gate and the game kept telling me that he was. In this same game, I experienced Scratches on the outside brick but not anywhere else. I also saw Scratches on the top of a 2-story building that was over 40m away from the Gate. Not on the ground around it or anything. On the top of the stupid house. It occurs all the time when I'm just waltzing along and suddenly there's a few random-ass Scratches on this one particular bush or trash can, but nowhere else. When you run, Scratches are supposed to be placed everywhere around you. I don't understand how Scratch Marks end up in these random as hell spots that just confuse me into looking for someone that isn't there. They need a fix. [link] [comments] | ||

Posted: 12 Jan 2018 12:24 PM PST I just got done with a game where there's 1 gen left, this guy gets downed, and subsequently hooked. The billy camps back about 15 feet away revving his chainsaw ready to sprint. Clearly no intentions of leaving. Someone eventually rescues him, and he goes down again. He hooks him, then goes to move to the same exact spot, to rinse and repeat the camp. I pull him off before he sets up the camp, and he has 1 last chance to survive. He gets dowed again after a little chase, and then proceeds to message me talking trash to no end, like I'm the biggest scumbag alive for giving him 1 last chance to survive lmao. The idiot claims I killed him off, claims I should've just let him die on the hook. Anybody else encounter any unbelievably dumb people who blame you for trying to help? New Survivor Suggestion. Totally Serious Posted: 12 Jan 2018 03:33 AM PST Survivor Name: Al Coholic. Lore: Al used to live under the pallets which he declared as his houses in MacMillian Estate. When the Entity showed up Al didn't care. Al never cares. But as soon as other Survivors started dropping his houses down aswell as Killers breaking them, Al had to do something. Those are his houses, man. -Perk 1: Home Advantage. While being in a 10/15/20 Meter Radius next to an untouched Pallet, Al's movement speed increases by 2/3/4%. If a pallet is used in his radius, Al gets a 2/3/4% movement speed decrease debuff for 20 seconds. -Perk 2: Intoxicated. The Killer smells Al's alcohol abuse and wants to carry Al as less as possible. Wiggling is 15% faster. After getting the wiggle meter to 60/50/40% you'll get a medium skill check. Hitting the skill check will result in Al throwing up, which forces the killer to drop him, feel bad and clean himself for 1,5 seconds. Intoxicated works two times. Also if Al runs Deceisive Strike, there is 50% chance of Al hitting himself with the shank. -Perk 3: Intervention. While being arround your closest friends, you try to do things in your best behaviour. Perfect skill checks on healing and reparing are 5/10/15% easier to hit if 3/3/2 Survivors are within a 8 meter radius. [link] [comments] |
