Our last update was on August 30th which can be found here. After listening to everyone's feedback; we've decided to protect flairs for popular teams that would otherwise be removed due to our old flair regulations by giving permanent flairs to all teams that have won a Valve sponsored major. This means that NIP, Luminosity Gaming, and Team LDLC have all been added to the flair list! Be sure to read up on our new user flair regulations. If you have not yet applied a flair to your account, you can do so by using the flair selector on the sidebar here. If you're a moderator for a subreddit and would like to know how we gather this flair data, you can download the script from this GitHub Repo, where /u/zebradolphin5 has included everything you need to know in order to get it up and running! Incorrect molotov calculation for over 2 years Posted: 01 Jan 2018 05:43 PM PST Hi, one of my team mates reported this bug already. Unfortunately he got only 150 upvotes. This Major Bug affecting the gameplay realy hard but Valve didnt fix it for over 2 Years :/ Original text: For more than a year or so the molotov damage does not take your kevlar into account, this resulting in a higher damage than intended. Take a look at the video by 3kliksphilip analysing the molotov back then: https://youtu.be/MbDkyndlQGk?t=51s he points out, that ct's incendiary deal 39 kevlar damage while t's molotov deal 18 kevlar damage if you would test it out now you will see that molotov completely ignore kevlar in the current game. Another interesting fact is that Summit1g infamous molotov suicide only happened because of this bug. damage breakdown when running through molotov https://youtu.be/MbDkyndlQGk?t=2m43s Summit1g molotov video https://youtu.be/HEnBgBJeR2A?t=8s The videos show that molotov should only do 21-28 damage in open areas such as in summits case, where he had 40hp + kevlar. I checked all patchnotes of the past 3 years and could not find any planned changes on molotov. Molotovs ignore kevlar when they should not, as can be seen in the video made by 3kliksphilip. Valve please fix Pls give this bug more attention this time. It has huge impact on many situation like Go's, how long you can survive in corners with kevlar like nbk on cache etc. [link] [comments]

Major winning teams should have their flairs permanently featured on this subreddit. Posted: 01 Jan 2018 06:40 AM PST EDIT: Thank you mods for listening, and thank you guys for sharing your thoughts on this! Happy new year! My flair aside, I find it strange that major winning teams are not featured on this subreddit. Winning a major is a big achievement, and such teams should be immotalized not only ingame, but on this subreddit too, especially since such teams often have a large fanbase on this sub (see flair distribution). This would mean that teams such as Gambit, Astralis, SK, LG, Envy, Fnatic, LDLC, NiP, and VP would have their flair immortalized on this sub. If, as the subreddit's rules state:
Why shouldn't major winning organisations have their flair immortalized? [link] [comments]

Announcing the UK Circuit Hubs on FACEIT! Full FAQ and information inside! Posted: 01 Jan 2018 09:43 AM PST
-Sliggy (FACEIT Observer) Here's a breakdown of some questions you might have. What is the UK Circuit? The UK Circuit is a collection of FACEIT Hubs designed to increase the potential of the UK & Irish scene. We have created a stable platform that will get more players playing together in a competitive and cheat-free environment. We are reaching out to all skill levels of the UK & Irish scene to compete in our hubs and try it out as we will be providing prizes for the higher leagues and a progression system for the lower ones. Players can use this as a way of playing with friends, or finding people with the same skill from the same country to create teams, mixes or just have fun inside your UK community. We want to help build a self-sustaining community that will help grow grassroots. Do I need Faceit Premium to queue? No only a subscription to the Hub is needed to play. What are the requirements to play? UK Citizenship. If you are living abroad in the EU, but you are from the UK, you are still eligible to play in our hub! UK & Ireland Residency. What do you get as a player? Admins. Over the pre-season, we have created a large admin team whose sole focus is on our hubs and managing the player disputes as well as general interaction to solve issues. Anti-Cheat. In order to play in our hubs, games will require all players to use FACEIT's Anti-Cheat service. VoIP servers. Each hub has some form of a VoIP server to promote team play and maintain competitiveness and community interaction. Strict & enforceable rules. In order to maintain a competitive level of play and respect among players, we established clear rules which will prompt temporary and permanent bans. A large community. Since our pre-season, we have attracted over 3000 players across our divisions. A regular ladder system for our hubs with prizes for high ranked placements is something we guarantee will be provided each and every month with room for expansion. Progression System Our progression system will allow new Faceit players grind up each ranking all the way to UKPL, which will put them with and against the best players the UK has to offer in in-house pugs. Our hub model is as follows:
ELO ladders will allow players to play for FACEIT ELO when queuing our hubs, so that they can progress in levels to reach a higher division. Subscription System For the low price of £5 per month you will gain access to all our hubs and future tournaments. FACEIT premium is not required to play. Proceeds from the subscriptions will be re-invested directly back into the hubs to allow us to give players bigger and better prizes on a more frequent basis. Launch Date Our official launch date is Monday 1st January 2018, Queues will be open at 6pm. Prizes
Looking to the future We want to work closely with our community, and we have already had a number of suggestions that we will look to implement in the future. Some of these ideas include:
Thank you We want to thank everyone who has been involved in our project since its founding, and we hope everyone enjoyed the free experience we launched earlier this month. We hope to see you at ECS Wembley 2018; use 'UKPL30' for 30% off!
