Dropped money on ores because I thought artisans workshop was double xp and double respect this weekend for minigame weekend. Spent about 6-7hrs there last night and used all the enhancers id gotten from the maw. Woke up in a cold sweat this morning realizing that the xp ticks I was getting were NOT the xp ticks I calculated them at for double xp. Checked the winter weekend schedule - Artisans Workshop not active this weekend.

How did I not realize this for the 6-7hrs I was doing it? Because I'm ACTUALLY dumb. I'm not a smart person. I lower the bar for everyone else. I ain't the sharpest tool in the shed.

TL;DR - dumb

EDIT: just realized I didn't use hammertrons or crystal hammers and I'm 214m invention xp with no malcolm. I feel bad that my kids have half my DNA.

Today I received three lamps which are meant for members', basically I've nothing to do with them but to destroy them since I can't bank them and must be a member to use.

LootScape and RuneScape 3 Twitch Channel Rapprochement

Hello, /r/RuneScape community! (TL;DR below.)

Though I am sure many of you have since been made aware, the RuneScape team have recently established a new initiative in order to reward players who actively watch RuneScape livestreams on the official RuneScape Twitch Channel: LootScape.

Succinctly presented, any player may participate in LootScape by linking their Twitch account to their in-game RuneScape account and watching a RuneScape livestream while it is aired live. At the end of the livestream, the RuneScape team disburses rewards (which lately have consisted of one Twitch loot crate) to all registered viewers who have linked their Twitch and RuneScape accounts.

However, although I believe that this initiative has been established with the best of intentions, several pragmatic issues have surfaced in the weeks since its release:

  • The RuneScape Twitch chat is continuously spammed with !lootscape/!lootcrate/lootscape/lootcrate (and, lately, !premierclub) at the beginning of every stream, and often throughout the duration of the stream. Though MooBot has been programmed to counter this, it is not very effective - and the majority of legitimate feedback and responses are lost among the spammed commands. This makes it all but impossible for viewers to communicate with the Jagex Moderators on the livestream, and greatly reduces the ability of Jagex Moderators to respond to viewer's comments - causing frustration for all of those involved.
    • At least once per stream, the RuneScape team has to digress from the intended stream content and announce that spamming commands is not the correct way to receive a LootScape reward. Clearly, it is quite disruptive, to say the least.
  • The RuneScape livestreaming schedule does not accommodate all viewers, making it exceptionally difficult and impractical for viewers in different timezones to qualify for LootScape rewards (even if they have already linked their Twitch and RuneScape accounts). Currently, most RuneScape livestreams occur around 12:00 P.M. - 1:00 P.M. EST (12:00/13:00), with the exception of Mod Lee's Sunday livestreams, which often occur around 4:00 P.M. EST. (This is even more inconvenient for those in PST/AEDT/AEST time zones - occurring either early in the morning or in the middle of the night.) As a result, any viewer not using UTC/GMT must leave their computer running on the RuneScape Twitch page with their account signed in while they are at school, work, or asleep in order to qualify for LootScape rewards - which defeats the entire purpose of LootScape: increased livestream interaction.

In order to improve the mechanics of LootScape and the RuneScape Twitch channel experience, I wished to offer the following suggestion: allow LootScape rewards to be redeemed (by accounts with their Twitch and RuneScape accounts linked) with a temporary code from Diango. I am not sure how easily codes such as these may be implemented into the game, but, ideally, I presume it would work something like this:

  • A sensible code (e.g. 121417LoreQA) is created and implemented into the game on Monday's game update. It will not be active until the day of the livestream (at 00:00 in-game-time).
  • The code is shown live at some point in the relevant livestream. Those who cannot catch the broadcast live should be able to retrieve it from the video recording of the livestream (or from Reddit).
  • Players who have already linked their Twitch and RuneScape accounts can proceed to Diango or a Diango-esque character and redeem the code for the pertinent LootScape reward.

Let it be known that I understand this would allow players who received the code from outside/after the livestream to redeem the code for the reward without having watched the broadcast. I consider this compromise to be an acceptable exchange instead of preventing loyal Twitch viewers with linked accounts who watch the livestreams afterward in videos from receiving their LootScape reward.

  • The code should remain valid until either the end of the update week or until the end of the month, allowing players in different time zones to redeem the code at their earliest convenience. After this period, the code would be deactivated in the following game update.
  • If necessary, or as possible, prohibit the use of the !premierclub/!lootscape/!lootcrate/lootscape/lootcrate commands in the Twitch chat. Instead, introduce a command (!info) which would redirect players to the RuneScape Twitch timeline/information panel underneath the streaming window, with posts added that include links to LootScape registration website and Premier Club package subscription site.

If this solution can be implemented in a practical manner, I believe it will dramatically improve users' RuneScape Twitch experience - while still rewarding loyal viewers with LootScape rewards.

TL;DR: Instead of the current "big red button" mechanic, allow LootScape rewards to be redeemed (by accounts with their Twitch and RuneScape accounts linked) with a temporary code from Diango. This will hopefully reduce RuneScape Twitch chat spam and solve the issue of loyal viewers not being eligible to receive LootScape rewards, despite having their RuneScape and Twitch accounts linked.

Do solo meds for Gordie. About 3x better pet chance

jagex released skilling pet drop rates and it is clear that solo meds are about 3x better in terms of base exp counting for the pet.

Got the pet on my fifth solo med after 60m worth of 5 mans post 120....

To quickly explain: For DG pet, your base exp is divided by party size difficulty before calculating your roll at pet. This means that the smaller the party size difficulty, the more of your base exp is counted towards a roll for the pet. This makes solo meds or 5 man larges with 1 party size difficulty the best way to get pet.

This makes no sense to me, and it should be the other way around in my opinion, but w/e
