Client Updates

Matchmaking
- Fixed a major bug where improper matches were formed due to a bug in checking the time a party has been in queue
- Improved matchmaking algorithm to make it less likely for very high/very low rated players to wait in queue for more than 10 minutes

Party List
- Fixed a bug where a player's rating was displayed as 0

Game Guide
- Fixed a bug where you couldn't go back to the main menu

Logs
- Now automatically zipped for easier uploading to the forums

Reconnecting
- Fixed a bug where players could not reconnect to games that they failed to load into

Game Updates

Pathing & Targeting
- Ranged units are less likely to run forward. This is a conservative fix; ranged units may still be slow to acquire targets, but at least they should suicide less. We'll continue working on pathing & targeting after the holidays

Mastermind
- Fixed a bug where you would get duplicate fighters to choose from
- Fixed a bug where the chance to get certain tiers of fighters wasn't quite correct

Bots
- Now smarter about building towers for leavers
- Now more reluctant to deploy cheaper towers after wave 10
- Slightly improved positioning in some cases

Game Balance

New Mechanic: Pillage
- Your team now receives gold for damaging the enemy king.
- 1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8 gold increasing on waves 1/3/6/9/12/15/19/21 per 5% damage on the king

Haste Buff
- Attack speed increased to 15% to 12%

The v1.63 nerf had a significant effect, but cross is still too frustrating to play against when you're not on a coordinated team. The Centaur nerf also indirectly buffs cross, so we're being proactive.

The v1.63 nerf initially decreased the win rate of cross, but it rebounded as players adapted to the change. v1.64 data on cross:
- 51% win rate at 1400+ rating (20% of games)
- 69% win rate at 1600+ rating (44% of games)

King
- Judgment: Cooldown decreased: 17 -> 15
- Giant Slayer: Max health damage increased: 2% -> 3%

Forsaken

Harbinger
- Health decreased: 1960 -> 1940
- Damage decreased: 99 -> 98

Grove

Consort
- Health decreased: 780 -> 770

Ranger
- Health increased: 400 -> 420

Daphne
- Health increased: 1080 -> 1150

Whitemane
- Council: Now affects all units, not just Antlers and Whitemane
- Council: Damage reduction changed: 25% -> 5 + 15%

Banana Bunk
- Health increased: 2660 -> 2700
- Damage decreased: 85 -> 80
- Barbs: Damage increased: 15 + 10% -> 20 + 10%

Banana Haven
- Damage decreased: 67x3 -> 60x3
- Thorns: Damage increased: 35 + 15% -> 50 + 15%

Mech

Leviathan
- Damage decreased: 132 -> 120
- Aerial Command: Damage aura changed: 15% -> 5 + 10%

Waves

- Health increased: 760 -> 770
- Deflection: Now only takes reduced damage from ranged autoattacks (no longer affects ranged spells)
- Deflection: No longer affects the king

(14) Killer Slugs
- Spell Resistance: No longer affects the king

Mercenaries

Brute
- Health increased: 820 -> 840
- Damage increased: 42 -> 43

Centaur
- Damage decreased: 165 -> 160
- Now has better pathing

Kraken
- Damage increased: 250 -> 255
- Now has better pathing
- Spell Resistance: No longer affects the king
