Hearthstone - Daily Quest Bug Megathread

Daily Quest Bug Megathread

Posted: 17 Dec 2017 02:43 PM PST

I've had a few requests in previous threads regarding this topic and via modmail for a megathread to be made for this current daily quest bug situation so I've went ahead and done so and stickied this thread in order to centralise discussion and to stop people reposting the same topic over and over again. We will be removing all further posts on the matter, so post here if you are experiencing problems or want to discuss about the situation!

A possible fix is to keep restarting your game and battle.net client until a daily quest pops up but this has only worked for a few people as seen by posts on the subreddit and by some of our Discord users.

Araxom, one of Blizzard's Customer Support reps has commented on the situation here, linking this thread on the official Hearthstone forums for a potential fix and possibly for updates on the situation also.

Ben Brode comments on the situation in this Reddit thread.

I will be editing this thread with any updates about this topic and/or if the bug is fixed.

Is $50 too much for an expansion? I was much more comfortable spending $20 every other expac to get guaranteed legendaries that were playable.

I don't feel comfortable spending $50 on every expansion because the gamble is just not worth it for what you might get. However, when I knew what I was getting for $20 for Naxx, BRM, LOE, and Kara, I was much happier to spend the money. Furthermore, the legendaries from some of these sets, like Reno for example, enabled you to immediately play decks that were at least tier 2/3. Even WotOG enabled you to play semi-decent ranked decks with c'thun. However, the variance in the death knight cards and class weapons is too high and they're too specialized, so there was a non-trivial chance that whatever weapon or DK you got might not be viable --- and that's what you have to work with for months. It's not enough to start building your collection upon.

If we never get an adventure again with guaranteed deck-defining cards, I'm afraid I won't ever be able to keep up without spending $50 every expac and more, which is not something I'm willing to do. Fifty bucks might not even get you that much in terms of deck-defining cards, and that is too much of a gamble for my level of commitment. For example, if you do not get the complete pirate package in your packs, you're safest bet for playing ranked is to craft them and that's a substantial amount of dust, especially with the new Corridor Creeper being epic rarity. The $20 pricepoint was perfect in my opinion, and simply having Reno, Emperor Thaurissan, etc., went a long way for my enjoyment of the game. More importantly, these types of cards were a good start to my collection, and having them encouraged me to play more and even buy more packs.

I drafted the most insane Discard Warlock in Dungeon Run. It managed to kill Xol turn 3.

Posted: 17 Dec 2017 08:30 PM PST

So I decided I wanted to play Discard warlock in Dungeon Run after being offered Lakkari Sacrifice in the first pick. I then got offered Discard cards every single time (Except for once which offered me demons) which allowed me to create an insane combo deck

Heres the Decklist with the two passives at the top that are being cut off being two Small Backpacks.

As you see I drafted Boots of Haste. this gave me the idea to hard mulligan for it and attempt to drop as many cards on the field as possible with Malchazaars Imp and Doomguards.

this led to many stupid games that involved tapping every turn for Boots.

This all culminated in the grand finale wherein I opened Boots against Xol

resulting in This First turn Board and Successfully Kiling Xol turn 3

This is probably my favorite deck i've ever drafted and I wanted to share it with everyone!

The New Spellstone Cards from KnC are the Rings from Lord of the Rings

I felt like reading the flavor text of the spellstones and lo and behold, they are basically the Rings from Lord of the Rings. Azari created them, and gave them to different races to spread his influence. Azari was even imprisoned in one of them, namely the Ruby Spellstone. Not much effect on gameplay just thought it was cool.

Edit: Spelling/Grammar

Suggestion: Make epics you already have two of,not appearing in new packs

Posted: 18 Dec 2017 12:53 AM PST

With the arrival of many high-impact epics like Corridor Creeper,Spiteful Summoner,Grand Archivist etc. many people have already spent their dust crafting them. So not seeing them in your new packs could be very helpful especially for people trying to catch up with new expansions.
