I'm going to be no-lifing Fortnite for the next week or so, and would love to help some people either finish the high level quest part of the event, or just plow a quest or two to help progress their storyline. Note I have literally NO IDEA how much response this will get, so while I will be playing a ton during my spare time (starting tomorrow afternoon) if I cant assist you immediately I apologize in advance. | Should I (You) Buy? Most common questions/concerns explained. Posted: 21 Dec 2017 08:34 AM PST With a metric ton of these posts recently, I thought I'd put in my two cents and maybe this can help a few people decide and (possibly? lol) cut down on some of these repeat threads. There is a 50% Off Sale going on (PC/PS4, I believe Xbox is still having issues currently as well as regions outside of NA), so if the cost has been your most limiting factor to this point, now is a great time to jump in. While I obviously can't speak for everyone's financial situations, $20 for the Standard Edition is a steal for the amount of hours you'll end up putting into the StW if you end up liking it. I highly suggest you start there, and only upgrade after you've got a taste of the game. If you do choose to upgrade, you will only pay the price difference between the different editions. For example, if you upgrade before the sale is over, Deluxe will be $10, and the Super Deluxe will be $25. If you wait until after the sale, it will go back to $20 for the Deluxe, and $50 for Super Deluxe. If you already have a strong feeling this is something you'll be into, and have a friend that would be interested in playing with you as well, jumping right to the Super Deluxe is a good bet, as you'll get 1 Standard Edition code to gift to them. Is the game P2W? Do I need to spend more money afterwards? In the strictest definition of the term, no. Since you'll (most likely, unless you choose to play solo) be working with a team (friends or pugs), you actually benefit from being paired up with someone who has decided to spend extra money on vBucks as some stats are shared between party members. You may even end up in a game where a fellow player is willing to craft you some of their higher end weapons/traps and well. It doesn't hurt to ask, but don't beg! Spending money on vBucks can (read: RNG) help you get better gear or progress a bit faster, but it's by no means required. With that being said.. How much of a grind is it? Pretty large. The first 30-40 (or so) Power Levels will come fairly quickly. This will generally be enough to get you through the first 2 (of 4) areas that are currently in the game. After that, you will be spending quite a hefty chunk of time grinding out various resources/xp (Pure Drops of Rain and Survivor XP mostly) that you need to level up your squads and gear. If you want to reach the "end game", be prepared to invest a large number of hours along the way. That's all I've got for right now, but if you have any other questions, feel free to ask. | The lag is unbearable on xbox one Posted: 21 Dec 2017 04:29 PM PST The PvE lag is getting worse. Stuff still happens in game when you lag for a few seconds (I counted max 7 seconds). I lagged off a cliff last night. Other players and monsters run in place, die but are still standing there, etc. This is getting ridiculous. With each update it fluctuates to "unplayable" to "sorta ok" then back. Why is this an issue? We PAYED for this version of the game. This should be addressed as priority #1 for Epic. Also when I play with others they lag at the same time for the same period of time, so it's not just me nor is it the "someone joining lag". Is Epic aware of this? | Request to change leech/deathburst sound effect Posted: 21 Dec 2017 06:08 PM PST I think it'd be great if the sound effect on Exploding Deathburst/Life Leech were changed or had its sound balanced. Even with game effects volume on 0.04 the noise is extremely loud and somewhat irritating, especially when teammates are caught in mobs, attacked by mists, or bursting down large groups of enemies. | Posted: 21 Dec 2017 09:34 PM PST TLDR: I used an epic survivor transformation key and it consumed my legendary hero key to give me a green hero. I recorded it so this wasn't a mistake on my end. I'll keep it brief. I hovered over my Legendary Hero Transformation key I just got but decided to use an epic survivor transform instead (just needed to clear some space). I slotted enough cards to get an epic survivor but when I hit confirm it gave me a green hero card and consumed my legendary key . Luckily I was on playstation so i just recorded my session and played it back to make sure I didn't make a mistake. Has this happened to anyone else? There is enough content for me to keep earning drops of rain, indefinitely. I have 5 more heroes and a metric fuckton of guns, melee weapons and traps I'd like to at least try out at level 30 (3 stars is where a thing gets interesting in Fortnite) but who the hell could ever have time to farm all that rain?? And it doesn't matter because Epic has locked us out of earning as much as we need anyway! Last night, I had two hours to play some Fortnite. I'd played a bit during the day but didn't think I'd played all that much. I was low on mats and needed more rain but nope, I was on a fucking lock out. So, I turned the game off and did other stuff. | PSA Best Way to Kill Mini Bosses Posted: 21 Dec 2017 05:24 PM PST I'm not sure whether this is worthy of a PSA (don't know if it always works, works for me though) but, the most effective way of killing mini bosses if your levels are high enough is with teddy and shock tower, they tend to deal it a lot of damage from what I've seen. | Posted: 21 Dec 2017 09:41 AM PST Hello everyone, I just wanted to make a discussion about the Defenders. As we know defenders currently are barely used. I honestly don't want them removed because I actually love them but do agree they need something to make them worthwhile while at the same time not too op. In my opinion, the only one worth using right now is the Sniper defender and even so she still kind of misses a lot of her shots. They have a lot of weaknesses with not only poor aim but they also chew through ammo like an all you can eat bullet buffet (rifle and pistol), are taken down easily because they don't know when to back off(Melee), or don't use their effective range(shotguns). While better AI could be an easy answer for as well here are some solutions that others and myself have thought/mentioned for the class other than better AI.
For now, these are the ones I've seen, agreed, and thought of myself. These don't have to be added and are simply suggestions. If any of you have any ideas of your own feel free to add them. [link] [comments]  | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Posted: 21 Dec 2017 05:00 PM PST Okay So a few weeks back I bought the PVE Side of Fortnite On PS4 The Deluxe edition and today I linked my PSN account to Fortnite On PC and when I Went back on PS4 it says i dont have the pve mode anymore and my levels and stats on BR are all reset Both on PS4 and Now PC. I was level 67 On PS4 with the battlepass and have nothing anymore. Can someone tell me how to fix this. [link] [comments]  |
