| Concentrated fire is an absurdly good perk Posted: 11 Dec 2017 08:22 AM PST Started playing again with a lucky pistol VATS build focused on getting unlimited criticals and AP. (Action boy, better criticals, critical banker, grim reapers sprint, four leaf clover, gun-fu) Ended up being just as powerful as I thought it would be and after I got all the agility and luck perks I wanted I decided it wouldn't be so bad to beef up my accuracy for my non critical shots with max perception, to build criticals faster. After many boring level ups of just perception I threw a point into concentrated fire for the fun of it and ITS AMAZING! Concentrated fire's aim bonus stacks on EVERY shot! You can start off at 1% accuracy with 3 perks and after 4 shots you have a 95% chance of hitting at any distance with no scope. With tons of AP this is trivial since you can have way over 10 shots in VATS and makes you a sniper with any weapon. Combined with penetrator VATS is god mode more than it already is. Anyone else try a perk on a whim and find that its way better than you thought it would be? [link] [comments] |
| My Brotherhood run got super dark. Posted: 11 Dec 2017 06:39 AM PST Been doing a Brotherhood RP run and it's been super fun thanks to a few mods that allow me to spawn various BoS NPCs at my settlements and a clothing mod that lets me craft BoS armor and uniforms so I'm basically just promoting all of my settlers into the BoS as I find the crafting elements to outfit them. Coupled with a darker clothing mod for the BoS uniforms and the random encounters with BoS now that the Prydwen has arrived, my various settlements are starting to take on a dark gritty totalitarian look. Even my "agriculture research station" at Greentop looks like a dystopian fortress. I've been trying to play the Brotherhood as zealous and hardcore as possible, confiscating laser weapons from the populace, turning The Slog into a ghoul internment camp, making each settlement a highly fortified, highly weaponized BoS outpost. My softest moment so far was in Blind Betrayal, as I just couldn't bring myself to perform the execution. But other than that my loyalty to the Brotherhood has been unfaltering. I've tried to be fair with the citizenry of the Commonwealth but mostly mission-focused, and I haven't been above putting the needs of the Brotherhood over the people. I never joined the Minutemen or triggered their quest, so every settlement is a Brotherhood of Steel outpost. On the positive side of that, the outposts are so well defended by Brotherhood soldiers I never have to stop what I'm doing to go help them, and I don't have Garvey whining in my ear every five minutes about somebody that needs my help. Last night at Level 30 I just got sent in to execute The Railroad. It was so weird to brutally assassinate all the folks I spoke to when I tracked them down to decode the Courser chip (though I was pretty curt with them when I did have to interact with them, and turned down their offer to join the Railroad when I had the chance). It still felt pretty bad. Storming in there I felt like this dude basically. Now I'm getting ready to nuke the Institute with a giant robot and I can't help but feel like I somehow ended up as the bad guy in all this. I romanced Danse too on top of everything else. | What was your first experience with a super mutant behemoth? Posted: 11 Dec 2017 11:45 AM PST I remember going into Evergreen Mills and I didn't even see the behemoth at first. I was just out killing raiders with clover and all of a sudden I enter vats and it goes to the outline of the behemoth through a train car. So I STILL didn't actually see it. I knew it looked a little bigger that the other mutants I've seen, but I still didn't quite know the scale. Then clover dies... and I run around to see what killed her... and shit my pants... It quickly killed me. And I ended up loading and not going back. [link] [comments] |
| Fallout 3. Which DLCs should I play first to last? Posted: 11 Dec 2017 04:10 AM PST After some time, I decided to reinstall Fallout 3 and all of the DLCs. After I beat the main story, in which order should I play them? [link] [comments] |
| [Fnv] I figured out how to shoot mini nukes from a 9mm... with out mods Posted: 11 Dec 2017 01:45 PM PST Step 1: equip the item you want use as the ammo (fat man for mini nukes etc) 2: hold rb DONT LET GO OF IT 3: use the left thumbstick to go left, to the ammo section of your pip boy 4: favorite the ammo you want to use. Note: it has to be the ammo your current weapon uses. And it must be special ammo. No standard ammo 5: let go of RB and equip the weapon you want to fire 6: exit pip boy and select your favorited ammo 7: shoot mirv out of a 9mm [link] [comments] |
| Posted: 11 Dec 2017 10:36 AM PST I have fo4 on xbox one from day one and I beat the game once and never touched the game again, same goes for my xbox ever since I got a good PC. I see the GOTY edition at 26 dollars online and was wondering if it's worth picking it up again on pc for a 2nd playthrough with mods + playing the dlc? [link] [comments] |
| I made a Fallout 4 music video for a friend. He wanted me to share it here Posted: 11 Dec 2017 09:58 AM PST (Reposting because my title was too vague last time.) Hello everyone, I'm a senior in high school hoping to go into the film industry as an editor. Recently I have been trying to build up a portfolio, as well as work on improving my timing, so I've been making music videos for some of the different games I play, usually using clips from trailers. One of my friends requested that I make one for Fallout 4 using the song "Fallout" by Alter Bridge. He really liked it, and recommended I share it here. I want to improve the quality of my future work, so any and all criticism is welcome. Here's the video. Hope you enjoy it as much as my friend did! [link] [comments] |

| Mods for people who like collecting unique and rare items in Fallout 4 ? Posted: 11 Dec 2017 11:34 AM PST Hi. Played though Fallout 4 several times. Unmodded, modded, survival etc .. One thing I always loved was the Bobblehead and magazine collections. I always try to collect them all and to display them all in my main base. Are there any mods that add unique items like Bobbleheads and magazines (in precise locations) for us to collect ? It can also be weapon or armor mods .. I just want a new reason to start a new game. Thanks [link] [comments] |
| New Commonwealth Democratic Republic [NCDR] a settlement emperor's story Posted: 11 Dec 2017 08:58 AM PST Hi there! this is a story of the little society I built in Vanilla Fallout 4, it starts with the building of red rocket and sanctuary in that order, i moved into starlight drive-in, for a while the drive-in was a dump of a settlement, i got other places and focused on mostly the other places, but soon enough i learned of a glitch that lets you increase the settlement size and i got to work, influenced by videos of starlight city, Sanctuary city, ETC. I built a larger town, i built a small building around the water pool, and called it the water plant, i made shops around the walls of the water plant and called it "the ring", i used prefabs to build multiple houses, as I didn't really know how to build houses until now, through practice with the settlement system, soon enough, i finished the people's homes, and built my own on top of the old movie screen, which had a museum and bank built around it. suspended onto it, i'm still working on that city. but i bought the season pass not too long before i decided i would build the city, it was $30 back then, and now i have every DLC, the DR runs throughout almost the entire commonwealth, i just need to reclaim the lighthouse, it's alive and well in Maine, and i'm working on getting into nuka world, made covenant a military base, and supply lines are everywhere. i have the vault, i need to work on the mechanist's lair, and i need a few more places in Maine, from the far harbour DLC. but when i get there, the mightiest society it will be. | Characters that should have been companions? Posted: 10 Dec 2017 06:03 PM PST The title says it all, what are some Fallout characters who should have been companions? For starters, let's address the two headed elephant in the room. Yes, Marcus should definitely have been a companion in New Vegas. Replace Strong with Erickson and/or Virgil Virgil. His quest could have been helping him decide whether to use the cure or remain a mutant. Scribe Haylen could have been a companion with a quest where you try to make it up to her if you kill Danse. Representatives from the Island's other two factions, mainly Chase and Richter, as both have interesting backstories that weren't really explored. A Mister Gutsy and/or Captain Ironsides Nick Valentine with Kellogg's memories. He'd have a second personal quest where you have to choose between the two. Tina De Luca or just another Vault Dweller really. Anyone I'm not thinking of, or that you'd like to see? [link] [comments] |

| Fallout 2 bug - first aid skill keeps triggering Posted: 11 Dec 2017 11:43 AM PST I'm really hoping someone has had this before. For some reason my first aid skill keeps triggering and it's driving me crazy. In the status box it keeps saying "you're too tired" and "the strain might kill you" etc even when I'm not doing anything it keeps triggering! Does anyone know how I can fix this? I've tried googling It but it's quite an I obscure thing and I can't find any posts or similar issues. Edit: I fixed it by waiting until my party was healed. [link] [comments] |

| New Vegas: I bought the game on PC, is my save screwed? Posted: 11 Dec 2017 02:38 PM PST I bought Fallout: New Vegas for PC during the recent sale. My specs are: GPU: MSI Geforce GTX 1060 3GB CPU: Intel i7-6700k Processor PSU: EVGA 850W BQ RAM: x2 8GB LPX Corsair Vengeance DDR4 MOBO: Asus ROG Strix 7270E I don't think I am having performance problem, sometimes when I try to load my saves that are either autosaves or quicksaves (I have noticed it happens with both) I get stuck on a loading screen with the wheel constantly spinning and the picture changing. I have to restart my PC or close the game to exit out after that. I fixed this the first time it happened 3 days ago by changing the display size of the game and deleting some old saves. This time it happened after getting stuck in the Gomorrah casino upon entrance and not being able to move, the command .EnablePlayerControl fixed that. Same thing happened, I had only a quicksave and an autosave and I deleted the quicksave which was older. Well.. I was worried about this, but I didn't want to restart my PC again, so now all i'm left with is the most recent autosave. It does not load. Should I reroll or what? I have no older save to load from. | How/Where does the Institute get raw materials? Posted: 11 Dec 2017 04:47 AM PST Just curious as to how the Institute gets supplies. I get that they grow their own food but what about other things like building materials or components for synths or toilet paper? Do they just buy stuff from the surface with synths and teleport them in? Does the teleporter even allow for cargo transportation? [link] [comments] |
| Posted: 11 Dec 2017 01:52 PM PST TLDR: I set the orientation or watever it's called wider than the screen on my laptop. Now when I open it, it closes and says "Error initializing video mode 1400x768" I uninstalled it and reinstalled and nothing changed. I was trying to fix the black bars on the side of the screen when I set the game to show wider than my screen. Now when I run the game it just pops up that it can't run it. I deleted it and redownloaded it and nothing seems to be working. The worst part is I lost everything I did and it still doesn't work. Please help! [link] [comments] |
| Posted: 10 Dec 2017 08:01 PM PST You start the game orbiting the earth. Vault-tec sent a certain amount of people in an orbiting spaceship before the war, as vault dwellers. Everything is fine for 200 years, but something happens and you have to escape using a pod, and you somewhat safely land in <insert new place to explore>. I feel like this would be a pretty fun mechanic to start a game, as you're in a "vault" for the beginning of the game and then you're forced to leave the vault and go exploring the wasteland. A similar beginning to fallout 3, but based in space which can reveal untold possibilities about the rest of the game using satellites and space-tech. What do you guys think? [link] [comments] |
