Posted: 08 Dec 2017 08:12 PM PST I really want to be able to change the hair color of my characters. I have all the cosmetic packs and lots of crown items and change my characters appearance often, but some stuff doesn't always look how I want because the hair color remains the same no matter what. Add them to the dye station or a pack in the crown store, PLEASE. [link] [comments]

Posted: 08 Dec 2017 07:11 PM PST Ok, I dont know if this is a common post or not but I cant wrap my head around PvP. Im almost always being 1 shot, and like 1 in 50 people I can solo kill with my nightblade. Is there somewhere I can go to learn PvP better or something? I feel like I do no damage I have about 2.6k weapon damage unbuffed and am using Dual daggers, a Bow, 5 piece Hundings, 5 Piece Automaton, and 1 piece the Venkyth or however you spell it monster set (I dont have the helmet) I dunno if thats good for PvP or not but all I wanted was to level my assault for Vigor but I hate being stomped this badly. What can I switch up to do better? Again sorry if this is a frequently asked thing but Im struggling man. PvP life is hard. [link] [comments]
Posted: 08 Dec 2017 09:56 AM PST My last gushy post, I swear, but man I love this game. I have been an online gamer since Diablo 1. I pre-ordered the collector's edition of Ultima Online back in the 90s. I have played TONS of the major MMOs, other than the super grindy Japanse or Korean MMOs. Just to list a few, Everquest, AoC, Rift, GW1, GW2, WoW, Neverwinter, CoH, Destiny 1, Destiny 2, Warhammer Online, SW:TOR. Hell, I can't even remember all of them. However, after Ultima Online, no other game quite hit the spot. WoW was probably the one I spent the most time with and got the most into, but it never quite felt right. Elder Scrolls Online captures the magic for me in a way none of those other MMOs since UO have managed to do. It just feels so massive and has so much in it. You can do so many things and make your character so many ways. I was an avid Destiny 1 player, though I didn't get to play Rise of Iron because life got in the way (just as I never got to play Dark Age of Camelot because when it was big I was living abroad and in the military). I recently deleted Destiny 2 from my hard drive despite the fact that I bought a Season Pass and already own the expansion that just came out and one next one that should be out in 3-4 months. I expected D2 to be my new MMO because I had amazing experiences in Destiny 1, but nope, they took almost all the RPG elements out of D2 and turned it into a pretty bland shooter. I was extremely bummed until I found ESO. Having tons of fun now. My wife even noticed how much more fun I am having (she's not a gamer, I have tried for years). So thanks Zenimax. From what I understand, ESO had serious problems, but you really turned it around, and now it is one of my favorite games of all time. [link] [comments]
Posted: 09 Dec 2017 02:38 AM PST Every year, 4 dlcs will come out with 1 chapter and 1 dungeon dlc and 2 content dlcs. But like homestead, 2018s first dlc/update should be a cyrodill rework. To begin, ranks have no real meaning and they should get one. I am thinking of letting grand warlords be able to target certain keeps and make that the daily quest. Or having the player who is emperor really have the power to move troops to certain locations. Higher ranks should have the power to call in npcs that help in a siege and this could make fighting in lower populated campaigns be bigger and better. Making it worth it to play in smaller campaigns as well. Secondly, i think we should give some of the pvp sets meaning to pvp and actually make rewards of the worthy worth grinding for. Leaderboards should give amazing chunks of rewards and it should really encourage players to rank up and get some of that sweet gear. Gear should also be untradable to make the grind even more worth it. Finally, reward teamplay with big chunks of ap rewards. Rezzing a player should give 500 and if someone uses your siege weapon, you should also get some ap. If everyone focusses on a objective set by an emperor, they should get a 50% ap boost from taking that certain keep or resource. If you have anything to add please do so in the comments as i really want this to happen and breath even more life into cyrodill and make it the best and most tactic pvp area in a game to date! Posted: 08 Dec 2017 07:02 AM PST I wanted to create a quick guide for users that are trying to get Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited working on Linux! For non-mobile users, a copy of this guide (with pictures) can be found here: http://www.overclock.net/t/1416414/official-linux-gamers-club/1020#post_26488201 I love this game, and I happen to be a Linux user, but until yesterday, I had to boot into Windows 7 to play it. However, I recently learned that it is possible to play ESO on Linux. The game works on WINE, but it needs a little TLC. If you have an AMD GPU, the game runs flawlessly. If you have an nVidia GPU, there is a known bug (at the time of this posting) where some of the textures don't load properly. (you can read more about it here: https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=43339 ) However, this is actively being worked on. In the mean time, please feel free to follow my steps! There is another known bug with WINE where the game will install, and launch, but users will get an error stating: "Your DirectX Version is unsupported. Get Help". This plagues users ever since the Thieves Guild update was pushed out. Please see the below screenshot. http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/3165814/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL Now, to play the game on Linux, you must have a GPU that supports OpenGL 3.2 or above. That of course is almost all GPUs that have been released in the past 4 years, but it doesn't hurt to google your specific graphics card and make sure. If your machine meets the minimum requirements to play Elder Scrolls Online, you can fix that 'DirectX Version is unsupported' error by adding a key to the Windows Registry for your wine prefix. (You won't have to do this forever, this is because of another known bug in WINE, you can read up more on it here: https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=38648 ) This should force your game into getting past that error. Also, you may need to put a DirectX override in place. Do do that, follow these steps: Your game should launch without issue! No more of that "Your DirectX Version is unsupported. Get Help" business. NOTE: Some distributions of Linux bundle different libraries with WINE (from what I understand) so your mileage my vary. I haven't had much success with WINE in Ubuntu or Fedora. But I can assure you that the method I mentioned above works in Solus. Tested on the following machine: -AMD FX-8350 @ 4.51GHz -2x4GB of G.Skill Snipers @ 2006MHz 10-10-10-29-1T -AMD R9 280X with the open source drivers -Solus 3 with kernel version: 4.13.16-35.current This was done with Wine Version 2.21, allegedly, there is a workaround built into the WINE-Staging branch which prevents you from having to do this for applications that require OpenGL 3.2. However, I have NOT tested WINE-Staging. EDIT: Words [link] [comments]

[Discussion] Weird blackscreen bug on my lower end pc Posted: 09 Dec 2017 03:32 AM PST Hey guys, I have a weird bug. As a computer science student I'm clueless, since there is no real indicator how or why it happens.
No other games cause any issues. I have the latest drivers running under windows 10. GTX 660 with an older, 4th gen i5 not overclocked, 60hz screen. I've seen posts about blackscreens before, but not like this and most were over a year old. If anyone has a clue I'd greatly appreciate that. My first thought was overheating, but that doesn't explain the fact that the game can run for hours after the first restart without any lag or other problems. P.S.: I don't post to reddit a lot, not sure if "Discussion" is the right tag. [link] [comments]
Having some trouble as solo/new player Posted: 09 Dec 2017 03:00 AM PST I just recently started playing again and got some further questions. 1) How to deal with open world group content like Bosscamps and public group dungeons(are they even called that way). I can't handle it alone, is there some way to get help and how to ask für help? I tried to write in chat but noone responded, so I gave up after waiting 10 min at a Bosscamp 2) Damage output. Does it work like the following (Iam magick user). Basically spells always do the same dmg regardless of the weapon (not counting in passives of the weapon) and only some Spells scale with magicka while others dont scale at all? 3) Crafting. I played for a while when ESO released and I remember that you didnt have endless skillpoints, that is why you should lvl up some crafting paths on a second char. Is that still true or it is possible to max everything on one char now? 4) Again the groupcontent. While leveling I do not want to get too much into "hard" group content but want to go for map completion, thats why I sometimes need help. Are there some specific catchphrases or a specific chat I have to ask in for short adventures? I honestly complety fail in that regard. I dont know where to ask, whom to ask, how to ask to make it as easy as possible for others to join me to get one quest done [link] [comments]
Any tips on dueling with a melee Magblade? Posted: 08 Dec 2017 10:38 PM PST Hey Reddit, quick PVP question! I've recently transferred from a Skoria/Trans/Riposte Destro Restro Magblade to a DW/Restro Melee one. Currently I'm running 2 BloodSpawn (what's a viable monster set or 1pc combo to use for Melee? I've heard Grothdar pulls you out of cloak so I'm a little weary of using it) 5 Shacklebreaker (poor mans amberplasm and 5 Necro Stat Wise in Cyrodil at CP 573 with 5L/1M/1H I'm sitting at 38.6k Mag, 23.3k Health and 13k Stam. 2.7k (I think) Spell Dmg buffed up with gold enchants+weapon proc. Could go higher if I used spell pots. 36% Spell Crit 1.8k Mag Recovery and 1.1k Stam Recovery Argonian Race with Stage 4 Vamp and Witchmothers Drink alongside the Apprentice Mundus Stone. Stat wise that's where I lay. In terms of bars DW: Cloak, Merciless, Fear, concealed weapon, Lotus fan ULT: Soul tether/Meteor Restro: Shades, Healing Ward, Cripple, Reapers Mark, Funnel Health ULT: Pancrea In open world (which is all I've done so far) I'm wrecking and able to hold my own on a rather very squishy layout How well do you think this would translate to dueling? Any advice on gear/skill changes? I've always heard Melee Magblades are rather trash to duel with. Is this true? Any advice/experience you can give me would be great! [link] [comments]
Set that add + bonus damage to sorc/dest skill Posted: 08 Dec 2017 07:32 PM PST A week ago i saw someone link a item in chat - i cant recall specific skill name it boosted or the set type and now i can't find it. Is there any set that adds extra damage t o one of the mage attacks - it may have been elemental blockade or one of the other aoe skills. [link] [comments]
Posted: 09 Dec 2017 12:28 AM PST I want to stay as EP and I'm level 30 on two other characters but they're in other alliances - is there any value keeping them or should I just re-roll them as EP? What are the benefits of having characters in other alliances? [link] [comments]
Posted: 08 Dec 2017 08:12 PM PST So I just started this game and I'm trying to figure out what order to play the different DLC storylines and main questline. [link] [comments]
I'm trying Veteran Maelstrom with my Templar... Posted: 08 Dec 2017 04:21 PM PST And I'm failing so bad. I'm following this guide (that worked very well in the normal version, so:
In the video it seems so easy, but I keep dying at the first boss. From what I see in the video, he just place Blockade and Spears wherever there are enemies, he does some damaged with some spells and then he uses Puncturing Sweeps to get some health back. But I have to use AoE everytime because enemies are everywhere and I take so much damage that most of the times I can't even swap bar in time. I tried adding a healing spell in each bar, but then I lose too much Magicka. I tried keeping Harness Magicka always active, but it always disappear in no time. Any advice? Should I level up a Magicka Sorcerer and try with that? [link] [comments]
