Thanks for the free Winter Map change?

I couldn't afford a TI battle pass this year, probably could've not afford the winter pass either.

But you gave us the winter pass's winter map anyways...

Thank you.

Interested in writing about Dota?

Posted: 21 Dec 2017 07:39 AM PST

(Note: The mods gave me permission for this post. I apologize for stepping on anyone's toes.)

So I have recently created a new publication on Medium.com that will focus on gaming and esports. I am currently looking for people who would like to contribute articles much like the ones on Dotabuff. You can take a look at the publication here, although there is not much to see yet with it being brand spanking new and all.

What's in it for you? Well, if you join the Medium partnership program you can actually earn money for your articles. Unlike YouTube, money is not earned based on ad money. Instead, it is based on how much readers interact with your articles i.e. how many 'likes' you get and how many comments they leave and so on.

If you are interested, please take a look at the submissions guidelines for further information.

I thank you for your time.

Edit: I should probably have been a bit more clear about how you earn your money. I will not be the one paying you. Medium is basically like YouTube for writers, and much like Google pays YouTube creators, Medium pays Medium creators (if they join the Medium partnership program). As owner and editor of the publication, I will not be earning a single cent from your articles. You will be keeping all the money of whatever you make. Once the publication grows, I will be looking for sponsorships who will be allowed to place ads at the end of each article and that is how I will eventually make my money. But that is still months, if not years away, and I will be running the publication on my own dime until then.

Edit 2: Even if you do not want to write, be sure to follow the publication on Medium. You can then download the Medium app and read articles on gaming and esports if it is something that interests you :)

Why firing Universe is all according to Keikaku

Posted: 20 Dec 2017 10:31 PM PST

While everyone is busy talking about Universe being let go from EG on reddit and twitter is going crazy bashing each other, no one realizes that this is all according to the keikau of the master assassin Bulba. As soon as SVG left EG to follow his dreams of playing professionally, Bulba took his chance of being the coach of EG. Now he didn't want his move to be completely obvious, that of Universe leaving and EG finding a replacement in the form of Misery and player roles being swapped around. In the speculative future this roster will experience success followed by extremely disappointing results, the air will be filled with calls for a roster change and EG will be short a player that they want filled in a short period of time. Time is short and EG wants a player who can play a variety of roles as an offlaner or a support, look no more because they have a player who is capable of doing the same living under the same roof, Bulba will then step up from his role as a coach and be a player on EG, thus fulfilling his plan that he set in motion by kicking Universe to be a player on EG again. All according to keikaku, Bulba the true Evil Genius.

Any team team without QP that picks up UNiVeRsE would immediately be 11th on the Pro Circuit Rankings

Posted: 20 Dec 2017 08:42 PM PST

Universe currently has 255 Qualifying Points by himself, ahead of teams like Fnatic, LGD, Col, LFY, Immortals and Kinguin.

However, even if one of the teams below top 8 pick up Universe, they will still be a few Qualifying Points short of 8th.

I believe this is also the first time a player with qualifying points is a "free agent."

Shout out to Universe; You're a great role model for our sport

Posted: 20 Dec 2017 02:27 PM PST

Poor Uni man. As I watched the latest "Life of a Genius" episode last night, I kept thinking that this guy is the exact kind of person you'd want in your organization. He's responsible, well spoken, represents your team and your brand extremely well. I can't remember a time where Uni did anything that negatively impacted EG publicly, socially, in the media, etc. He doesn't talk shit, doesn't make an ass out of himself. Quality guy and a hell of a player too.

Wish you the best Uni. Hope you get another opportunity somewhere and don't hang it up.

What if they changed one of Morphling's talents to, "Can Attribute Shift when stunned"?

Would be a fair buff and not make him too op imo. And could be a level 15 or 20 talent?

LGD (temporary) roster change!

Posted: 21 Dec 2017 12:16 AM PST

  1. Sea mew (from Team CDEC)
  2. Somnus`M
  3. Chalice (from Team MAX)
  4. fy
  5. Yao

LGD will be entering the galaxy battle cup chinese qualifier with this roster. It will be subject to change.

Source: https://weibo.com/ttarticle/p/show?id=2309404187419913109140&is_hot=1#_0

Highlights from the announcement:

  • Ame is out and Victoria`JY is dropped to Team CDEC

  • Moon (Planet Odd), 343 (Fnatic), xNova (WG) ,XinQ (FTD) are part of the try out list.

  • LGD is going to enter a 'try out' period, and will give up selective tournaments until they are satisfied.

  • Reasons for shuffle are due to poor results, problems with team management and internal disputes.

  • If you wish to recommend relevant players, send their details to pf@lgdgaming.com

Update: Ame seems to be somewhat 'released' from LGD, claiming that he can un-retired in a matter of seconds if there are any teams that want him. https://weibo.com/5695452105/FAGmMmK3l
