Think of your survivor or killer's perks and items as assets that have a certain bloodpoint(cash) value. These assets have lots of liquidity, meaning that they are very easily convertible to pure blood points. When you prestige a character, that is precisely what happens. The Entity snatches up your entire inventory of perks, items, offerings, etc. and converts them into pure, liquid blood. The Entity then dips a third of your clothing in that blood and gives it to you. You are basically wearing your old assets. What was once BBQ and Chili or a Brand New Part is now in its purest form, dripping from your clothing and shining fashionably against the moonlight.

And that concludes my silly theory.

An interesting consequence of increasing your terror radius as Freddy.

Freddy has two ways to detect him: the terror radius and the nursery rhyme. You hear the former's audio while sleeping and the latter's while awake. However, the terror radius always applies even when you are awake; you just don't hear it.

Due to this, if one increases their terror radius as Freddy by using Distressing or chasing someone with Monitor and Abuse, that means that there will be a small window in which a survivor can be within your terror radius but not hear the nursery rhyme(as it is not affected by terror radius perks). This means that survivors can suffer from terror radius-related penalties(Unnerving Presence, for instance) without even being aware that the killer is relatively close. This makes it much more likely that a survivor will miss an Unnerving Presence skill-check if they're in between the terror radius and the lullaby as they'll have absolutely no warning that they're in the terror radius.

I don't know how useful this is, but I thought it was interesting info.

PSA: If you get stuck in a pallet or window as killer, just wait do not DC, survivors will start jumping through the window or sliding on the pallet when they do one of these you can still grab them. Doing so will free you from the pallet or window.

Just before you read, it's important to point out that ... well, the survivor in particular is a bit silly, and maybe a bit too much for Dead by Daylight to ever accept it.

Killer : The Harlequin

Backstory

Lesley Brunheïdt was a roamer, the kind to never stand still, or at least to never be able to. She was the daughter of show people and grew to eventually become one too. Yet, she was more attracted by the art of pretending, comedy. Where she should've become some clown, she became a dramatic artist. Although she started clumsily, without a proper voice to begin with, she managed to eventually become a decent actress. But she was far from a worldwide renoun, limited to barely four hundred seats scenes.

She really was trying hard to draw fame upon her, improving her gesture, her manners, her way to speak and the expressions on her face. And in the end, she couldn't ever find track of her true emotions. She had lost it all, sacrificed against the ability to enlighten her face with any expression she would've desired. Yet, even if she sold her soul, she was finally getting all the recognition she ever wanted, ever desired, ever yearned. She was bathing in the applauses, the cheerings. And from the showgirl was born a comedian.

But one may ascend as high as they may, the fall only is longer. Lesley went to far in her ways, considering her public like maggots, and her fellow collegues like playthings. Not only would she play her acts, but she lived them just as much. And when it came to dramatic pieces, where murder was to take place, she could not resist the urge to make her fantasy come to life. When the show came, and when the killing act had came, Lesley killed a fellow comedian before thousands of eyes. And yet, at the act's end the public applaused.

But Lesley did not leave the stage, she was staying over the dead body, even when the curtain dropped. Preciously holding the knife into her hands, she remained completely idle. Another comedian approached, to get his two collegues off the stage before the next act. In a brief move, the woman jagged the supposed "replica" she had interverted before the theatre piece into his throat.

The audience was waiting, it had been five full minutes, and there was no sign of the comedy crew. After few more minutes, the curtain raised anew. All the comedians were there, but they did not salute, their corpses were decorating the scene with a magnificent red stain. In shock, the public raised from their seats, and fled the theatre. When finally, an investigation had opened, there was one body missing. The main actress was never found.

Basics

Terror Radius : Casual Movespeed : 105% Lunge : Casual

Physical Description

The Harlequin is dressed up in a Victorian way, and has several rusty metal spikes jagged into her neck and her back. She has black make up over her white glowing eyes,and the same substance drips from her mouth. She weilds a rusty knife and a white tragedy mask.

Ability : Deceit

Hide from their eyes, never reveal what you are.

Upon clicking the Ability button, you put the mask on. Hence, you completely vanish. When under Deceit, you do not make any sound and cannot be seen. You cannot hit when under Deceit.

If Deceit is used when you don't have a survivor in sight.

  • The movement speed doesn't increase
  • Your terror radius is still hearable, only slightly reduced.
  • You don't turn invisible
  • You don't make sounds.
  • You cannot hit, to do so, you must go through a winding time, in which you are briefly, but severely slowed down.

Deceit must not grant a bonus if you use it freely. It is not a map control ability, but a chasing one.

If Deceit is used as you have a survivor in sight

  • Movement speed increases drasticly ( +100% )
  • You completely vanish
  • You do not make any sound.
  • You vault windows much faster ( +50% speed )
  • You cannot hit until revealed.
  • Revealing is much faster.
  • You cannot lunge upon revealing. This is made to ensure that the survivor has a chance to escape the hit. Lunging shall be available 3 seconds after revealing.
  • Your terror radius remains similar to the one the survivor heard when you vanished.

No matter the type of Deceit you are using, it may not exceed a 3 second duration. This Ability has no cooldown, however, you must encure the winding time that putting the mask on represents.

Using Deceit also prevents you from interacting with anything.

Perks

Final Act

The end nears. The curtain will soon draw.

Once you've hooked all 4 survivors at least once, you gain the Ability to see the aura of running survivors 12/24/36m from you, as long as you're not in a chase.

( If a survivor escapes, he is immune to the aura detection as long as he is in this perk's range. This immunity shall be lifted as soon as the survivor leaves the 36m radius )

Additionnaly, once you've hooked all survivors at least once, your strikes will shut off windows 4/6/8m close to the injured survivor.

It's all a game ! - woman's shouts in the mist.

Misbehave

Your manners to deal with problems is particular.

Your strikes are weaker, taking down a survivor takes 3 hits.

However, your movement speed is permanently increased by 6/8/10%

Your attack's cooldown is 25/30/35% shorter.

Vaulting over windows is 30/40/50% faster.

Additionaly, an injured survivor will always be put in the dying state upon hit.

Slight cuts, but deep scars. That's the way she does it.

Round of Applause

One of the survivors becomes your Obsession.

Upon hit, the other survivors shall be subject to a skillcheck 0/25/50% harder than usual, failing it shall trigger a sound cue over failing the action, if action there is, they were performing.

This action's fail has 50/75/100% more regression.

Mori

Sits on their belly, stabbing them several times in the diaphragm with both of her hands. Punches them in the lower jaw with her right hand, and quickly jaggs her knife in their head right after. Then lifts the corpse by holding the knife's handle, trying to shake their corpse off the blade. After three brief shakes, she finally manages to pull it off with a wide gesture.

Survivor : Evelynn Doloris

Perks

Sadistic

Your friend's pain seems to thrill you more than it scares you. in an odd way ...

For each fellow survivor injured/dying gain a 5/10/15% bonus speed to all your actions.

I think she's looking at me ... did you see that gaze ? She is completely mad. - Unknown.

Torture knowledge

Your past really comes in handy.

When healing a fellow survivor, Great skillcheck are 80/90/100% wider and complete 10/15/20% of the total required healing.

Additionnaly, has a 30/40/50% chance to not make the survivor scream if failing a skillcheck.

- Seeing you're so good at this, I bet you were a doctor, right ?.

- No, but I butcher people too.

Sick Thrill

The more your friends scream the better you feel.

Whenever a fellow survivor is hooked, you instantly recover one health state. ( At rank 3, this shall include dying state )

However, your healing speed is decreased by 40/30/20%

What ... are you smiling for ...?

My goodness, can we please get a fair way of letting the Killer end the game when the gates are open and no survivors are hooked?

It simply isn't fair for Killers to be held hostage by a few survivors who want to slink around the map and troll you. In what other game do you literally have no choice whatsoever but to get up from you computer and do something else until the game ends? This just isn't right.

I see a lot of killer hate when I bring it into game. As far as I can see, sure, you get surprised once by the invulnerability, but that's it. Once you KNOW they have DH, it becomes an out-playable mechanic. I just don't see why a lot of killers complain about it.

Any thoughts on it?

Why do people tea bag at the exit gates?

BM makes me want to not play my favorite killers. I main Freddy so this is especially annoying because it just draws out the game because I have to sleep them to scare them off...

I primarily play sweater boi and Bing bong but everyone acts like they beat a God tier billy or nurse.

Life as a rank 1 Freddy is not easy it's hard mode. This shit makes me want to try hard as billy every match to almost guarantee 3 or 4ks...

Can I just fuck around with my favorite killers without being shamed or called bad please?
