Give Boss gear internal failstacks and revamp repairing through killing bosses

Copying a comment I made on this subject, the chain was a some complaining about memefrags and failstacks, this is my proposed answer:

The current system is better than almost every other MMO that utilizes RNG Gear treadmill -- there is still a lot of room for improvement. Looking at games like Archeage in particular, where any item above a celestial grade (+15 equivalent) has a very high chance to just blow up, failstacks don't seem so bad.

In my opinion, give boss gear that fails DUO/TRI/TET internal failstacks that give you a minor boost to return to your previous level, while leave getting that level initially the same. Still just as difficult to achieve your initial enhances, but less difficult to recover. E.g. If you get TRI kzarka and fail it down to PRI, make it easier to get back to TRI. The internal failstack would be based upon your highest achieved tier for that item. Leave PEN as it is currently -- punishing and top-tier. It will be slightly easier to regain your TET but we still won't have everyone running around in TET/PEN everything like most suggestions wind up being. This internal failstack system obviously can't work with accessories and that's fine.

I'm not going to pretend like I know a good percentage chance to give these internal item failstacks, I'm no mathologist. But make it visible in the enhancement UI for that item -- right under your character failstacks, list the item's failstacks.

Also, make repairing your gear easier. How about if you do a boss scroll or get a boss kill, it drops you an item to repair that boss's drop at a higher rate than memory frags, like +3 or +5, make it unusable with art mems and give it a decent drop rate (10-15% chance). Make it only drop on awakened scrolls for boss armor. Leave the current aura system in as well as current memfrag rates. This will change memfrags from the primary source of repair to the secondary, but leaves a way for lifeskillers to repair their gear. Breathes new life into content for boss scrolls and kills, and makes failing a little less punishing.

To combat boss server flooding, increase boss max HP to compensate for more players attending the event. More players show up to the boss, more PvP. This shifts the issue at hand from repairing your gear to landing on the drop table of that boss. No system is perfect and this one wouldn't be either, this will probably punish new players quite a bit more than currently, but once those players GET their gear, it doesn't feel as daunting to use it.

A lot of players leave the game because enhancing is punishing and requires investment. This system would reward playing vs. paying, as well as bringing back some good content for people to do on a daily basis, while not making enhancing braindead easy or ending up in PEN everything. Node wars are pretty much it for "end-game" pvp, this system would reward players who are willing to go punch bosses and get some decent pvp that way as well.

I can enjoy a big grinding session of 5+ hours. But when I go for enhacements I get extremely mad. I used to be calm about it even after losing DUO/TRI accessoire. Maybe it's because I've failed TET so often last weeks that I now have 3x 100+ Failstacks. I tried to say myself "yay nice PEN stacks" but after 2 PEN roulettes I also have a 160 failstack in addition to my other three 100+ stacks.

Should there be a guaranteed chance for TET/PEN Boss Gear to enhance? Like extremely expensive 1000 Hard Sharps and -500 Durarbility (I know this is not a thing) for TET ?

Marketplace Bid Timer [Tool]

This is a marketplace bid timer. It's useful for keeping track of item notices all in one place (no more downloading apps or using 100s of google timers). All you have to do is enter the time it was registered, which you are told on the notice. You can even set an alarm if you want to be alerted X amount of minutes before and get ready. Should help with sniping your boss gear :)

I made it for myself because I was fed up of having millions of timers open and not knowing what they were for, or forgetting an item I was meant to be bidding on. I just hope it helps someone out! Feedback would be really nice as well. Thanks

Valtarra Hard Mode Still Broken Over 1 Month Later

How is this acceptable at all? Kakao is willing to quite literally bring all the servers down for a minor mistake on the cash shop, but its been over a month since valtarra hard mode was removed inadvertently and they have yet to put it back in.

I know they've gotten plenty of tickets about it, including mine the day the mistake was made.... Can we please get some kind of answer to this? Maybe actually fixing content?

Not entirely sure what causes it, but it recently began happening to me. I noticed im able to afk process fine, but if i begin to move around the game will freeze shortly then go back to normal, a little bit after that the pop up of the 'bad module info' will come up. If i close it the game will close. If i ignore it ill be able to move around a little bit more until the game closes. I literally cant run a lap around velia thats how bad it is.

Any fix? the game was working perfectly fine yesterday.

Expansion of Port Ratt and the Haso Kingdom

Hey guys! So i went to port ratt the other day for the first time ever just for fun and I absolutely loved it!! The music and overall vibe were great! That town and all of the haso kingdom have a huge potential if they are to one day be expanded!

So, do you think that it'll actually be expanded to a full region, with towns, npcs and grind spots?? Have the devs said anything about it recently? I know this has been asked a ton and also that Dragan is the next expansion to the BDO world, but maybe after that we could get the haso kingdom?

The NPCs there say that there is some kind of trouble in the palace atm and that that is why it is currently inaccessible! It could be a nice starting point for a storyline...

Also, the reveal trailer for the new class Lahn was set in the bamboo woods next to port ratt! Maybe it's a sign that they are working on it and it's a hint of things to come? Sorry, I just really want this to happen lol

New/Returning Player Needing Advice

Hey everyone. I played a couple years ago for about a week but at the time I was too busy with archeage to keep playing. I tried to return about 9 months ago and I got so much crazy good stuff for free and money that I decked out the character I had (by my standards). I only played for another week though because my wife and I had another baby. Im installing now and hope to play for a long time this time, but I think I should fresh start because I doubt that I will remember any of the combos or controls very well. I think I was about level 50 or 51 and a ninja. If I recall correctly I'm wearing upgraded Agerian armor and I have some decent jewelry. Can't remember the weapon but I spent a lot on it.

My questions are: Should I restart or should I just take the time to relearn my character? Additionally, if I do restart, will my gear be character or class bound? I can't remember how it works. Finally, if I do restart, what's a good starter class for me? Thanks.

I do recall these two were planned for 2017, and I'll admit I'm a tad disappointed we haven't heard anything about it in months. It looked like we were getting some neat features, and now they are discussing the insta-switch and ui revamp.. but that never really answered what Happened to these two.

Are any of you guys still eying this feature too?
