True Gaming When you want to play a game but are tired to play and enjoy it.

When you want to play a game but are tired to play and enjoy it.

Ohh man no one told me that growing up will make me loose interest in gaming, I would have prepared for it at least.

I have long ass huge steam library but when I get interested to play by thinking of that game but when I go to play that game I loose interest fast and stop playing.

I once took six month break from gaming and thought that spark would come up as a gamer when I was young but at no avail I got interest.

I don't know what it is sometimes, I feel tired to play or I think I am just wasting my precious time but that never happens when I binge watch TV or movies.

I know there are many post of this but I feel sad because once that passion I had as gamer is gone. Though I occasionally play games but I use cheat trainer and just want to complete it as fast as I could and I feel that I am not enjoying the ride but want to reach destination as fast as possible.

So what do you think of this post??

Assassin's Creed feels like it's missing pacifist options to get through conflicts

Don't mean to join in on The Witcher 3 jerk but I feel like AC Origins would be GREATLY improved with some pacifist options to get through conflicts and side quests. I see two issues this would alleviate in AC Origins:

  1. It would give more variety to the side quests. The side quests offered have surprisingly interesting stories with not so varied gameplay. Although I personally enjoy the general gameplay of Origins I just think it would be so cool if conflicts didn't boil down to "go kill that guy" which leads me to my second point.

  2. Bayek is supposed to be some sort of lawman, wouldn't it make sense if he was able to solve conflicts not through violence? I mean he's very charming and a likeable character but that's so at odds with his Medjay code of "kill entire forts worth of guards because this guy said so." It just leads to some serious narrative dissonance.

Is this asking too much of Ubi (yes, probably...)?

What game's story really let you down? Also, name one that far exceeded your expectations.

I need to game less

Posted: 15 Nov 2017 04:09 PM PST

So basically all my life, since I got a PS1 at 5 years old, I have loved gaming... Maybe a bit too much. When I was young, I guess I used to play whenever I could. Whenever I visited friends, we would play games together. As I got older, things didn't really change. In highschool, when other kids were busy going to socials and stuff, I would go to LAN parties with my friends. At school, we would talk about games all the time... We sort of have an unspoken rule to not talk about our personal lives. We liked it just fine, talking about how we'll approach whatever game we were playing, or just watching random YouTube vids... I only really realized what was going on after school

Point is, gaming is a huge part of my life. I wouldn't be surprised if I spend 25% of my waking hours gaming throughout my life... I very rarely went through more than a few days without playing a game.

But I think I need to stop... I moved in with my boyfriend about 6 months ago. I promised myself I would game less... But even going a few days without a game, I start craving it... I think I am an addict or something

Problem is, with the amount of time I spent gaming, I never really had many other interests. My boyfriend likes cars, and talks about them a lot, but I just can't get into it. We watch series and stuff together, which is fun, but I always find myself wishing I could be playing a game instead... I want to play games with him, but he's not very into it. He playes games like Kerbal Space Program, Simpleplanes, Cities Skylines or Sims... I can play those games for a bit, but always get bored pretty quickly...

I struggle to make friends. All I really know about is games, so striking up conversation is always hard...

I want to expand my interests, but it's hard, so I think I should play games less... It's just hard. When I'm not playing games, I'm browsing gaming stuff on reddit... It's really all I am enthusiastic about, I guess.

So, yeah. I guess I want to hear if anyone else has this problem. Also, need some advice

Thanks for reading

Which Video Game franchises do you think COULD make a good film?

Posted: 15 Nov 2017 12:30 AM PST

Not necessarily would, but could.

Ace Attorney - It's basically a visual noveI anyways. I know there's a Japanese one, but a mid-budget hollywood movie that actually involves all the insane plot-twists and gets the characters right could be good.

Grand Theft Auto - Could be good if it were a blockbuster drama with a bit of fun like a classic Pitt/Damon/Leo movie like Departed or Oceans Eleven with a hint of Drive.

Halo/Mass Effect - These could both be good for the same reasons. Great characters and there is an appetite right now for good space operas.

The Sims - A "Truman Show" style movie that could either go the innocent route or the fucked up horror movie route. Could be done in very well tbh.

F-Zero - Captain Falcon is a rugged bounty hunter in an aesthetically "Blade Runner" looking future, who's next bounty is on the Black Shadow, the best racer on the planet who is highly guarded. To even get close to him, he has to race brutal death-defying races to work his way up to the championship. His only chance of killing Black Shadow is on the course during the final race before he retreats into safety. Could be done well.
