All members of the Top 6 have won a US major more recently than Armada. Posted: 21 Nov 2017 06:10 PM PST All of the top 6 members on the MIOM rank have won a US major more recently than Armada. Armada has only won one tournament since EVO, which was Syndicate 2017, but no members of the top 6 were present, while the other members of the top 6 have won at least one, defeating a member of the top 6 on the way. Hungrybox: Shine, GTX, Big House, Dreamhack Denver, Smash Summit 5 Mango: Super Smash Con 2017 Mew2King: Canada Cup 2017 Plup: Dreamhack Atlanta 2017 Leffen: GOML 2017 Not sure when the last time something like this happened, but hopefully Armada his loss streak at GENESIS, 4 peat another tournament series! edit: Meant NA instead of US, sorry! Posted: 21 Nov 2017 01:04 PM PST Hi guys! I was looking at the ssc wiki page (https://www.ssbwiki.com/Super_Smash_Con_2017), and something caught my eye - there seems to be a serious lack of international players in Melee, at least compared to 64. Just taking ssc as the example, there were only 3 countries for Melee (USA, Sweden and Canada). But 64 had Bazil, Australia, USA, Canada, Chile, Mexico, Peru and Japan.. Just thought this was an interesting comparison.. Is there much of a competitive scene for Melee outside the USA? [link] [comments]

Posted: 21 Nov 2017 08:49 AM PST Is it possible to add mods to my Wii U if it is updated to the most recent version? If so, what is the best tutorial for adding mods to your Wii U and smash? Can you suggest any wifi-safe mod packs? Thanks [link] [comments]
Which smash4 characters are the easiest to learn "in the field"? Posted: 21 Nov 2017 09:53 AM PST Heya, i play smash4 on my 3ds here and there (vs AI, for glory and with friends) and i'm wondering which characters are the easiest to learn "in the field" (aka: by just playing the game) rather than "in the lab" (aka: by trying out mechanics in practice mode). By that i mean characters that i can just pick up and play with, until i eventually master them or get close to that. As an example, Sheik and Greninja are the opposite of what i'm looking for: they are both very technical and require combos to perform well with. Picking one of those characters means that it'll be advisable to spend time in practice mode to get mechanics and combos down before facing opponents. On the other hand i feel that characters like Charizard, who do not have any critical mechanic that has to be learned, will improve in performance as the player plays rather than in practice mode. So yeah, i'm curious to know which characters you think meet the criteria. :) [link] [comments] |
