| The complete guide to record replays on 3DS/WiiU without a capture card Posted: 09 Nov 2017 11:25 AM PST Since you won't be able to upload replays online I figured this is a good time to write this guide. You are required to be able to use homebrew or have Custom Firmware (wiiu.guide for wiiu and 3ds.guide for 3ds). Note: i recommend listening to this while doing the tutorial 3DS If you have a new 3ds/2ds you could stream directly to your pc using ntr plugin. But if you don't have your n3ds ready, got replays from other people (if you're a youtuber) or you're just an old 3ds Backup method: 1-Download JKSM(JK Save Manager) from here 2-put the .3dsx file in /3ds on your Sd card. Or install the .cia file if you have CFW and run the app 3-select sd/cia if you have the physical version or cartridge if you have the physical version, look for the game then press A 4-go export extdata>new. Choose a name then press A and wait. Do the same for export save data (use the same name so you don't get confused) 5- congrats, your replays are now stored in JSKM/extdata/super smash bros/(random letters)/replay. To restore them just use the import extdata option recording your 3ds replays 1-insert your sd card to your pc and and copy your save and replays 2- dump your smash game using this guide for digital version or this for physical versions don't forget to dump updates and DLC 4-run smash bros once and create save data and extra data. Close the game once you get to the main menu 5- press Windows key+R or open windows search menu then paste this then press enter %appdata%\Citra\sdmc\Nintendo 3DS\00000000000000000000000000000000\00000000000000000000000000000000\title\0004000\ You should find a folder with either of these names 00040000000B8B00/ 00040000000EDF00/00040000000ee000 depending on your region, open the folder you want Assuming your smash version is north American copy the contents of extdata folder you named and extracted to this location \extdata\00000000\00000EDF Then copy the contents of your extracted save data to this location \title\00040000\000edf00\data\00000001 Congrats. You can now play your replays and record them. Use any video recorder you want (people recommend obs) Note: if you are 1-download disk2app and dump your game don't forget to dump updates and DLC 2-[download saviine mod and dump your smash game. you should get 2 folders: 80000001 and common](savemii mod) 3- put the game and save folders on your pc. If you want to greatly reduce the game size use wux tool on your pc 5-extract the folder 6- get shader caches (can't link) and put them in shadercache/transferred. If you don't you will probably have to run the replay twice for smoother recording 7- run the game once. Create save data and close Cemu once you get to the menu 8- go to mlc01/usr/save/numbers/numbers/user/ You should find 2 folders 8000001 and common. Paste the contents of the extracted folders in their respective locations. 9-congrats. You can now record replays with your favorite recording tool (some people recommend obs) The guide is now over! From now on, if you ever want to record more replays just backup the extra data again/download the replays you want and put them in their folder (should always be named replays) in your save directory) Now content creators won't be forced to buy capture cards :) [link] [comments]  | ||
