Dota Turbo has been added to the search queue. This new game mode keeps the same rules as All Pick but shortens match time by granting more Gold & XP to heroes;

making defensive towers weaker; and reducing respawn time.

Turbo's relaxed rules and buy-anywhere shop system allow for casual, quick matches perfect for trying new heroes and strategies, or introducing friends to Dota in a more forgiving environment.

see the bolded bit? that's the real aim of valve when releasing turbo. they want it to be the baby pool of players getting into dota. that's precisely why they have everything to win by keeping it as close as possible to the main game, while still casual.

so no, TURBO isn't JUST a casual mode, and that's why you're not getting your global shop back.

so stop spamming the /new page, thanks.

EDIT: if you want to play it as veteran, your choice. But you're not the target demographic and you can't expect valve to cater to your any whim on this mode.

Sea Inhouse League (SIL) 2.1 Update!

Ever since the relaunch of SIL, we've had tremendous success in our Faceit Hub, even getting mentioned in their blog post!

We have over a thousand people subscribed to our hub, and have had a hundred players play in our Preseason league. We've made several improvements to our community since then:

  • Added more moderators to help keep SIL the best place to play SEA Dota
  • Have been actively banning people and giving out warnings to keep the community toxic free as possible
  • Have a very active coaching channel where people are free to ask any question related to Dota
  • Added subsections for other games, interests, and hobbies
  • Successfully hosted our first Weekend Gauntlet!

Hello everybody, my nickname is monza. I think everyone heard about FPL League, a lot of people think that it's amazing place to play dota with skilled players. I wanna tell you about pretty interesting situation that happened to me in FPL Division 1 Season 2. I managed to get into prizes, but in last 10 minutes before season ends there was a fake game (friendly collusion) with 8 Romanians involved. What really annoys me is that admins doesn't care and close their eyes on this incident :-). Also check comments by @LeBronDota, @Pingvincek, @eskillzDotA and @grizine at the end of the post.

I joined FPL 5 days before season ends and I decided to get in top15 no matter what It would cost 4 me. For me that was really easy money like - all you need is just to play good and tryhard every game and u get ur money, heh not like that boys! Last 2 days of season I was playing almost nonstop 30 hours and finally got into top15. screenshot of my games Oke, 1 hour before season ends and I was top14 with 1305 points (same points as top13 and top15). Time was 23:00, when I finished my last game, means 1 hour before season ends (SEASON ENDS 01.11 0:00). I had a situation that, if ComeWithMe+Flash (top16 and top17) win 1 game together, they'll go ahead of me. screen of leaderboard that moment Thats why I must play and win 1 more game to be in top15 for sure, right? So, I go queue, but a lot of games just got cancelled cuz somebody were dodging (not picking players in FACEIT or not loading in lobby). I've been in all that queues. 23:30 time, I finally got a game, but dota gives me a present with 7.07 update. Of course some players saying like uh I can't connect, can't download patch and stuff. I didn't really want to play on new patch so important for myself game, but I was ready to use button to find a game on faceit. (U can see how many players in pool finding game right now). After my 23:30 cancelled game due to patch issues, I was waiting and guessing should I queue or no. There were just 2-3 players in pool. And what happens in short time? 10 MINUTES BEFORE SEASON ENDS CWM and Flash found a game? O_O how they do that if there was 2-3 players in pool like 1 sec ago?

That story deserves new paragraph. CWM and Flash (both romanian players, that top16 and top17 in that moment) asked their romanian friends to join Q fast, lose game fast and help them get their top15 and money. Pool players in last game of season: Flash, bufni, bone7, ComeWithMe, canceL, bobo47, suntnebun-, kAANMVP (My favourite<3) - 8 romanians and Capta1nFF and Amoment (people who just wanted to play dota, who were not give a fuck about their points cuz last game wouldn't change anything for them). When game finds on faceit, captain's pick players. That pretty similar as heroes pick in CM mode (A BB AA BB A):

    • Team A Pick
    • Team B Pick
    • Team B Pick
    • Team A Pick
    • Team A Pick
    • Team B Pick
    • Team B Pick
    • Team A Pick

Captains were cancel^ and kaanMVP (6500 player_), cancel had firstpick, so he firstpick his friend ComeWithMe. Now turn to pick for kAANMVP, he needs to pick 2 players. He could pick Flash (top17 player of league), he could pick bone7 (2 times TeaEye player), he could pick bufni (7500 support player), but he doesn't need to pick good players and he knows it. So he pick the worst players of this pool first 2 picks = bobo47 (another 6500 romanian player) and suntnebun- (dunno who is that, but I guess some 6500 player, romanian aswell). After cancel gets Flash and Bone7, kAAN keep picking bad players. screenshot of players pool btw, faceit doesnt show correct order of picks.

What to say about this game? 20 minutes game on new patch, where canceL's team had advantage in 5k gold at minute 5 I guess, all lanes lost, cancel killing enemy ember 4 times on midlane 1x1, meanwhile ember guy just rofling in chat like xaxa who gonna go pubg after this game and showing everyone that he doesn't want to play this and he is not playing seriously forsure. That was looking like default party matchmaking game 8k average against 6500 average, where dire team is just feeding everywhere XD. Easy 20minute game and cancel's team winning. So, CWM+Flash moving from top16-17 to top13-14 and I'm out with top16. GG. screenshot of the game

This game finished at 0:20 or 0:30 doesn't matter, the fact is game finished in NOVEMBER, and FACEIT BOT automatically counted game as game of 3rd season. But admins manually move this game to season 2 xD. :"

I was pretty done already, sleeping for 4-5 hours and playing 15hrs~ dota per day, I told admins smth like YO, mb u wanna check this match better and investigate it? like its 322 match obviously and I went sleep. screenshot of newleaderboard

When I wake up I see this in chat:"

  • FACEIT_Mikey 4:43 AM From vods we are looking and getting feedback from other players, i dont think we will count last match @everyone We are gonna keep investigating though, but some heavy bans will follow for this We will bring final decision tomorrow". screenshot of this messages

JUSTICE TRIUMPHED! (don't close post, nothing is over here XD) Admins congratulating me with top15, sending me some mails, asking to fill my BANK info and stuff and said wait my prize.

So I finally did a deep breath and started playing season3 fpl, testing patch and stuff. And 4th october I got message from admins that sorry br0th3r, ur not top15 anymore, we gonna count this match, because its canceL's friends and ComeWithMe, we can't punish them we didn't find any proofs (proof that a lot of known players on league (Lebron, Pingvincek and others) saying them that's 322 match for them is not a proof). I still don't understand what proof they wanted to find, IMO it's just impossible to find any proof in this kind of things XD, but that's obvious for everyone in this league). After there were few days fighting with admins I finally gave up, one friend told me to make a reddit post so here we are!

There are some comments from other people from league:

LeBronDota, one of the most active players of FPL, top3 of season 1:

  • With all respect towards FPL and admins for me this was obvious 322 match where cwm and flash call all vouched romanian players to help them get 1 more win 10min before league ends. How is it possible to count game when it finished in next season. Same happened for me 2 years ago where i was top10 but game that started at 00:05h was counted and i lost money. Admins says there are no evidence for 322 in this match but if u look at cancel vod and how they draft players u can realize everything. Aswell before this game started there were 5 games with cwm and cancel captains , so cwm just dodge all of them by not picking players and in the end they removed captain from him so cancel can pick him and help him reach top15.

Pingvincek, one of the most active players of FPL, top2 of season1 and top3 of season 2:

  • I dont know what to say about romanian game, cuz I dont have any proofs. But last game I queued they dodged, because CWM wasnt in a team with canceL. Do I think it was 322 - Yes. Do I have any proof? - No. They were dodging games for sure, but so did others tho. Thats mostly on admins, because they didnt do anything about it, no rules.

eskillzDotA, one of the most active players of FPL:

  • All I know is that there were A LOT of doding in FPL 1-2 hours before season was ending. Multiple times when CWM/Cancel was the captains, but they were far from the only ones who did this, they were just the ones doing it 1-2 hrs before season ends, earlier the same day(days) there's been a shit ton of dodging cause ppl don't like their team or whatever and admins pays no attention whatsoever to it. It's extremely frustrating and really it's up to admins to fix this kind of thing, but ofcourse they weren't acting as if it happened. About the 322-game itself I can't say too much because I don't have the information necessary. but if what people already have said in the post is true it sounds very fishy to me. And a game that counts after the season is over anyways is just..... well it shouldnt be like that but simply :-)

grizine, guy who lost his money aswell because of that fake match, he is top16/17 with me:

  • 1st. First of all that, game that played should count in new season (and ofc faceit bot count it).Like imagine u start something 11:50pm in old year and finish 1:00am in new year u count it for new year or old. I mean some1 program this bot right to put games where they belong, I'm doing statistic for university about trafic, with Surveys and databases and I know how program/statistics works. Image u start some work 5 days before new year and finish 30 after u count u done it before new year? I just giving u example, that is proportion for that. This is literaly some1 said CWM need get money go give it to him :) And admins deleted game from new and give them game in old season.
  • 2nd. CWM dodge 6 games in row, dont get punish for it. He played game he need, 2nd reason why game shouldnt count for him
  • 3rd. He fix game, 5 Romanians radiant all who need point (3 of them cancel, CWM , _Flash) and 2 known Romanians Bone7 and bufni. Vs 3 Romanians I hear about them never, 1 of them had 1 Faceit game played in season, suddenly he show up against CWM in 11:55. And feed exactly 4 kills in 4mins mid with worst build I ever saw on mid hero. So 8 Romanians in 1 games after 6 games CWM dodge and 10 games dodge in total. If u find me 1 game with 5 Romanians 2 teams, I'm cool with no fixing policy. All ppl like to skip rules, all the time.
  • So in 1 hour here we have 3 violation of rules. Some1 change faceit bot game should be in new count in old year, manually corrected database. CWM get counted game when he should be banned or get any punishment ( banning from league and giving him money is not even close to punish some1). It's like some1 take money and ppl said ok chill with 1 month in prison dude and keep money :)
  • About game: worst pick I ever saw from dire team, romanian mid player feeding 4 kills in 3 minutes to other romanian player. Like there is no way to prove it except some1 of them admit they did it if u wanna prove on papper, that guy who feeded 4 kills in 3mins. Tried to made vanguard on ember spirit. Ask any dota2 player did he ever saw that item on that hero :) It's like some1 saying trololololo maybe he finished vanguard till end of game I couldnt watch after 10 mins :)
