Turn your AR on! TURN YOUR AR ON!!!

I could not hit this f***er with a pokeball for love nor money. I gave up throwing curves and resorted to hitting him with pathetic straight shots, knowing full well he was going to break out and laugh at me.

I asked for advice here on Reddit and got plenty of helpful hints but one person - God bless his soul - suggested turning the AR on.... and it worked! I FINALLY caught one on my fifth time of trying.

If you switch the AR on, you can tilt the phone so that the Moltres is sitting right at the bottom of the screen... you can't miss! I pelted him in his stupid flaming face with four curves, and finally he was mine!

Sorry if this is an obvious or well known trick - but I know there were a lot of people who continuously could not throw the distance. Try it!

[idea] If you walk your respective team's legendary bird it should be less distance er candy.

It would be cool to have 15km per candy for me to walk Moltres as a Valor. Or 15km for an Articuno if you are Mystic.

[Idea] The ability to combine items to make better items (5 Revives = 1 Max Revive, etc.)

Being able to combine our items to make better items would help declutter our bags and free up space. It'd also help cut down on having to just throw things away. I regularly throw away mass amounts of revives, but if I could combine them to get Max Revives they would actually have a purpose for me.

What do you guys think?

Today through our towns Facebook group we organised a Lugia raid. We set a time the raid would be going off. 5 minutes before this time we had a message saying '6 of us are coming now please wait 10 minutes'. We all waited another 15 minutes and they still weren't there so we started (people needed to go back to work and we were fed up of waiting on people who take longer than they say they will). If they turned up while we were doing it tough on them - we already waited well past our set time.

Halfway through the battle (which we were easily winning) we see these 6 people running up the road and 3 of them were kids (6/7 yo probably). There was a brief conversation that went 'guys these kids aren't going to understand if we've done it without them'. We all backed out together and did it with the newcomers. After the raid at least 2 of the kids caught Lugia and I am not sure about the third. The parents thanked us a lot for waiting and we all felt really good about ourselves. Good karma was there and I caught it too.

[Complaint] Trainers who are parents, PLEASE control your kids at gym raids.

At the raids over the last few days, I have noticed a BUNCH of parents with young kids who they bring along. Personally I think this is great, for them to see the community, meet some fun people, and have a good time. I have also noticed however that during these raids, these kids are often out of control because they have nothing to do for the 5 minutes people are actually raiding. I've experienced kids screaming "DADDY!! DADDY!! DADDY!!" for the ENTIRE five minutes without response from the parent. I have seen kids running around in streets, hitting people with sticks, and getting into all sorts of mischief. I know that it is a serious moment, especially while catching, but the kids are very distracting to everyone else in the raid, even though everyone is too polite to say anything.

TL;DR: Please be considerate of both the other trainers and your children during raids if you bring kids. Bring something for your kids to do during a raid, and keep them under control.

Spending so much money on raid passes :(

Never thought this would be me but I've spent $50 on Pokemon Go since raids have been out. Tempted to go for another $50. Initially I saved up all my coins from gyms to use on Pokemon Storage/Bag Space and never had an urge to spent a single dime on this game.

But raids, oh my god raids. The lure of a legendary Pokemon is crazy. Niantic has found the cash cow within their cash cow. And I'm hooked.

I've gotten Articuno and Moltres but still 0/12 on Lugia. I still have 10 premium passes plus about 11 days remaining of free daily passes. Should be enough for Zapdos and Lugia. But I know it won't be when Ho-Oh and the other Legendaries Beasts drop.

Got logged out. Logged back in but Pokemon account is different then my original account.

Short story: got logged out for some reason. When I tried logging in , I input my gmail and password. Loaded up. Then I noticed that it's some random account that isn't mine. Nickname is Different. Level is different (lvl 4) and team is different. Thought it was weird , logged out and then back in and it's still loading up this random account.

I've only had 1 account this entire time since the game came out. The gmail and password are correct .

Anyone else run across this issue ?

[Question][Idea] What should I do with my 598 pieces of Murkrow candy?

Seems like we would all benefit from some sort of exchange system. I don't even care if the exchange rate is terrible, "convert 100 pieces of candy into 1 rare candy" - Just give me SOMETHING to do with those piles I'm never going to use.

Has there been any hint from Niantic on any future plans for this?

Moltres is not the same

I still have not captured this elusive beast. It is not difficult to beat at all. For some reason unlike any other Pokémon I will lose a handful of Premier Balls not because it popped out but because I physically missed the target. My experience with Articuno was nothing like this.
