I need to get this off my chest. When the dark portal reopened, I was the one who led Thrall to meet the son of Grom Hellscream. When Garrosh learned of his father's deeds, killed Cairne Bloodhoof and became warchief with grand ambitions? My fault. The battle of Orgrimmar would never have happened if I'd kept my mouth shut. Then Garrosh went to this other dimension and...

Well guys I screwed around there too. One of the first things I did was set Gul'dan free. It seemed like a fine idea at the time and Khadgar was alright with it - even if he is a shit wizard - so...my bad.

This whole new Legion invasion sparked by Gul'dan wouldn't have happened if I'd just left him where he was or at least cut his throat. This all pales in comparison to my greatest sin however...

I battled Illidan in the Black Temple...years ago. Another lifetime ago we failed to destroy him. I had him at my mercy and let him be captured rather than killed. If there was no body for Gul'dan to use, if I had just stayed away from the Mag'har and went fishing instead of going off to visit Outland, millions would still be alive.

I am the greatest threat Azeroth has faced thus far and it was all through bumbling idiocy and ill-advised meddling, rather than malicious intent. That makes it all worse somehow. Through it all I've gained so much power and collected so many powerful weapons and spells...I'm afraid I can't be stopped. I've slain gods, dragons, spirits, demons and everything in between. The only thing I have been accused of that I never did was murder this guy named Mankrik's wife.

I wanted to come to this world, influence it and change it in the ways I thought best and now look at things. If only I'd just been content with the world's beauty as it was, stayed home and went fishing...

Protip when farming ICC, use bandage to heal Valithria Dreamwalker if your character can't heal.

Works just as well, no need to skip the encounter

Edit: ofc not really needed if you are heading straight for LK but if you happen to need achievement or transmog

My first character, untouched since Vanilla, still in STV. When TBC released I went Horde and never logged this character again. In Cata I got a second account (as previously my parents paid for the game) which I still play now. I hope it stirs some memories for you :)

Recently talking to an old friend who is unhappy with his current guild being dead/directionless, and the last time I did any "management" in wow was during Cataclysm.

So, any advice on how to keep a guild happy and functional? From recruiting to running events, any advice is welcome :-)

Lag & Windows 10

These past few weeks I have been having a lot of issues with lag during peak hours while playing WoW. I replaced my router and checked all of my network infrastructure to no avail.

Long story short; Im running windows 10. There is a MS service called Delivery Optimization which was taking up my bandwidth and causing my game to lag horribly. Basically it turns your computer into a p2p network for updates. If you've been having issues with lag, are running windows 10, and everything else checks out. This might be your issue.

Back down to ~40 ms once I stopped the service.

Why doesn't anyone mention how fun it is to play Marksman? All I've heard is how bad the other two specs were and figured that's why everyone is rolling Marksman. Turns out it's actually really enjoyable.

Just bought a realm transfer, the status says complete, but my character is no where to be found

As the title says, it's been 30 minutes, the status on the website says it has been completed, but my character isn't listed on the new realm I transfered too, or the old one, or any at all. Anyone know if this is unusual
