We're working on some subreddit style improvements and want your input!

We would like to gather how you interact with /r/smite on a regular basis such as what browser you use, what mobile app you use (if any), etc. This will greatly assist in our re-skinning of different subreddit components because the stylesheet is impacted by all of these factors.

We also provide an opportunity at the end to leave general feedback about the subreddit styling as a whole. If you have something you've been itching to see, now is a good opportunity to share it with us!

Had a most peculiar and infuriating arena match in a while. And I say that after winning said match. We won barely with just 8 points. And whole match I felt that the damage just wasn't there, damage dealers sat way back, too afraid to be in any fight. Aftermatch recap confirmed it. I (playing Guan Yu) and Ares together dealt 50% of whole team damage and got more than half of the kills. Whenever Ares ulted, I was to only one to go and deal damage. Whenever I got into a fight, it was Ares to come and fight with me.

It feels awful to do the support job for your team only for your team to not capitalize on it all.

Support job is thankless job and it's useless without the rest of the jobs. Support your support by bringing the damage. We set up kills for you and if you don't keep up, you are going to kill your support. Me and Ares racked up 60% of our team deaths because damage dealers didn't bring it.

Support lives matter.

Idea: Raiju Combo Should Deafen Enemies

Allow me to outline my idea in a series of consice points with explanations following.

Point A: Activating Raijin's 2 has lost it's reward.

It's by no means difficult to activate Raiju by "combo-ing" with another ability or basic, but when your ult was down, the Raiju combo was the main point of your kit. Much of Raijin's decision-making came down to how you were going to pull it off, but now that the burst damage is gone, the main satisfaction of playing Raijin is gone. There's very very little reward to activating his combo.

Point B: Raijin is being moved to a utility mage role, but doesn't have consistent/practical utility.

Whether I like him being utility or not now, it's true. That said, outside of his ultimate, Raijin doesn't have much real utility. The 2 reveals enemies and slows a tiny bit and the 3 has a little mez. His current utility is either too weak (his 2) or too awkward (his 3) to be useful. Without reliable utility outside of the ultimate, he won't be able to make a big enough impact on the game.

Point C: A stun/root/cripple/etc would be boring.

It's easy to give Raiju a generic CC, but in my opinion, it's also boring. Giving Raijin a new kind of CC might make Raijin fun again.

Point D: It's thematic.

The god of Thunder can make a loud noise and deafen people. Makes sense.

How it COULD work: Activating Raiju could "deafen" or block/extremely muffle sound from the affected player for 2-3 seconds (I'll leave the exact time to the game designer experts). Maybe it could blind for like 0.5 seonds too? This could help Raijin build a better identity as a disruptor of the enemy team, and especially set up for some coordinated ganks from the jungle! There are a lot of sound cues that change how we react, all the way from Fenrir jump to Thoth ult.

So I think this would be a useful, interesting, and maybe impactful change.

Maybe it would be really annoying to play against though? Idk, just an idea (:

tl;dr: Use the 'secondary option' button*, which is also used for leveling up abilities or using relics/consumables, in combination with 'jump' to activate auto-run. That way you can activate it while already running, you don't have to stand still for 1-2 seconds and you can still open the store without canceling it.

Hey, so, first of all, having an auto-run feature is great! Now I can finish eating my cookie while auto running to lane and not miss any minions!

However, this feature could still be greatly improved. My suggestion is to simply change the buttons used for auto-run, which will effectively fix most issues.

Current issues include:

  • Not being able to open the store while auto running
  • Not being able activate auto-run while already running
  • You have to stand still for 1-2 seconds first

Now, the idea is to remove the feature from 'left' on the d-pad to something else. On every controller layout you have one 'secondary option' button*, with which, in combination with other buttons, you level up your abilities or use relics/consumables. I think using this button in combination with the 'jump' button could be used to enable auto-run.

That way you could:

  • activate auto-run while already running
  • open the store while auto-run is active
  • activate auto-run almost instantly

I like that HiRez implemented this feature, but now we need to refine it and make it useful for more than just running to lane while eating cookies.

*'secondary option' button: I mean, on the 'Savage' layout it's pressing the left stick down. Or on the 'Default' layout I think it is L2/LT. Didn't know how else to name it.

Anyone else get completely sick of playing someone once they hit rank X and feel like they are wasting worshipers if they play them after.

Ranks 8 to 10 feel like a complete slog, i cant find the effort to get geb to X from 900 worshipers.

Athena is stuck on 600 cuz she feels bad to play, kumba is stuck on 500 cuz hes shit.

As the GIF's show. You can cancel Ao's ult by mashing jump, no matter if they're in exe range or not. Doesn't matter what god you are and he gets healed and the ult gets put on cooldown.

We all know how Odin has been the target for unexcused physical abuse throughout the years of Smite streams and videos and I think someone needs to do something about it. Let's show Hi-Rez that #OdinLivesMatter and make a skin that will signify this...... I obviously can't do this because I'm not an artist, but someone needs to make........

it would be cool if we could more easily see the damage our melee basics are doing to towers. At the moment, the damage values appear over the tower itself, forcing you to turn off restricted camera pitch and look towards the sky to see the tower damage you are doing per basic.
