Terra Suggestion: Reduce the duration of Monolith, increase the healing per tick. Stop forcing my team to spend ten seconds twiddling their thumbs to heal.

Posted: 27 Jul 2017 03:41 AM PDT

The title pretty much sums up the entirety of the idea, without going into specific numbers.

However, let's go into the Pros and Cons of Terra's Monolith:

Pros:

  • Large heal, 300+100%

  • Large AoE, plenty of dancing room.

  • Can be shattered for a Root to peel for your team.

  • Effectively, 8s cooldown. Technically 3 second cooldown possible without CDR.

Cons:

  • Takes 10 seconds to heal the team.

  • Heals in tiny amounts that do not help mitigate incoming damage.

  • Easily destroyed if attempting to heal while in a team fight.

Personally, I'd cut the duration in half while increase the amount healed per tick, while also lowering the total amount healed (200+50%?). This is still a net-loss for Terra, as her passive will only last half as long due to the Monolith lasting only half as long, and she heals less overall.

But at least the team doesn't have to stand there jerking off while we wait for the healing to finish, and with the shorter duration and large heal per tick, it would be a more viable method of healing while in combat.

Especially because a certain bear druid is bringing in a potential 700+125% burst heal into the game.

Terra Vs. Artio

Posted: 27 Jul 2017 05:39 PM PDT

I thought I'd do a nice little comparison. We have these two awesome Goddesses in the game now, capable of playing aggressive and sustainable play styles. Thought we could do a nice little comparison over them.

  • Which one has more sustain?
  • Which is more impactful in team fights?
  • Which Gods combo well with them?
  • Who do you prefer?
  • Who's more THICC?
  • If you had the chance to change your fate, WOULD YEEEEE?

[Skin Concept] Man at Work Hercules - T4

Posted: 27 Jul 2017 12:45 PM PDT

The concept would have Hercules (sans shirt) dressed in hard hat and jeans wearing safety goggles. His club will be a jackhammer.

Ability 1: Driving Strike

Man at Work Hercules hops into his bulldozer and delivers a mighty strike, driving all enemies back, damaging and Stunning them. Man at Work Hercules is immune to Knockback during the dash.

Ability 2: Earthbreaker

Man at Work Hercules climbs into his Digger and claws the ground, damaging all enemies in the path. Enemies at the end of the digger's arm are thrown into the air towards Man at Work Hercules.

Ability 3: Mitigate Wounds

Man at Work Hercules throws on his hazard light and heals himself instantly and gains increased Magical and Physical Protections for the next 4s. A percentage of the damage taken during this time is returned to him as an additional heal at the end of the duration.

Ability 4: Excavate

Man at Work Hercules summons a large wrecking ball. Directing the wrecking ball does damage where wrecking ball lands. The wrecking ball continues rolling, doing the same damage to all enemies in its path. Subsequent hits on the same enemy do 50% less damage per hit. Man at Work Hercules is immune to Crowd Control while casting.

Extras:

By pressing the movement button that moves Man at Work Hercules backwards, it will play a backup beeper noise (often associated with large machinery).

[VEJ] "Remember kids, if your friends don't gank, and if they don't gank, then they're no friends of mine."

[VET] "I've got wrecking balls of steel."

[VET] "If I got drunk. I would be jacked...AND hammered! Get it? Jackhammered? That's a construction joke."

As a player who loves both Kuzenbo and Chiron, this mid season patch has been great!

Posted: 27 Jul 2017 02:47 PM PDT

Anyone loving the changes to these two? I've actually had Kuze stolen from me a couple times lol.

What are your favorite changes from mid season? Especially item based, I'd love to hear

SMITE SKIN/PACK GIVEAWAY! (20 Skins + 5 HOTG Packs)

Posted: 27 Jul 2017 08:43 AM PDT

Do you guys think they'll give us a coupon for the Community Skin like they did last year?

Posted: 27 Jul 2017 11:22 AM PDT

I forgot why they discounted Chronos's Fallen Lord skin, but they did and it was an amazing offer for an ok skin. Now that this skin is way better and the community really likes it (with the addition of the cost being higher), do you think that they'll discount it again?

I Hope this FP Gifting Thing will Cause People to not BM/Flame Others for No Reason.

Posted: 27 Jul 2017 12:33 PM PDT

Hopefully people will want FP so badly they will act nicely / respectfully even if they don't want to. BM and Flaming is a problem that every community has and it sucks. You just never know what the person behind the other screen (receiving BM/Flaming) could be experiencing.

I just hope this will make our community as nice as I know it can be. I mean on this sub people are pretty kind, sometimes you'll get bad apples, but for the most part everyone respects everyone's opinion and responds in a nice way.

Is anyone selling boots late game now?

Posted: 27 Jul 2017 08:34 AM PDT

With the rise of so many movement speed items has anyone been selling boots? I've been selling them in favor of the new witchblade and toxic blade. Just wanted to know if anyone else has experimented with it.
