I know SmiteFire has an extremely bad reputation on here, could someone please tell us how we could improve our site? Not just complaints, but any possible solutions.

Best Kali play I've made

Posted: 11 Jul 2017 06:34 PM PDT

What changes would you like to see for the mid-season update? Here's mine!

Posted: 11 Jul 2017 01:05 PM PDT

Here're some things I would like. I've been making this list for about a week, & discussing it with a few other ranked players. How each change would affect the meta, which Gods only rely on snowballing/fall of completely if they get behind, how do we give Gods more choices, etc. I think we've successfully done that here & I'm proud of thinking of most of these changes. I couldn't think of anything for Hercules, Ganesha, & Loki. Enjoy!

I only included God balance for my list. I didn't touch the ADC mages, & other stuff too due to some leaked stuff. I also think that all boots (Warrior Tabi, Ninja Tabi) should have their own passives for a unique gameplay. Tell me what you think below in the comments, & feel free to suggest your own ideas! Don't be shy to ask me why I would want whichever change down below. I'll be happy to respond. I'd also appreciate it if you didn't downvote the post just because you disagree with one thing. There are a lot of changes here & I don't expect you to agree with all of them. Thanks <3

Ultimate - Centaurus: Chiron's now only slowed for 30% during his ult. Each shot now gives Chiron's Centaurus state 10% more movement speed. Chiron now fires a shockwave radius. This shockwave will purify all allies in the radius.

Ultimate - 9 Turns Blessing: Erlang Shen can now activate 9 Turns Blessing early to heal quicker for a lower amount

  • Normal amount: 150/225/300/375/450 (+15% of his Maximum Health)

Fenrir

1st Ability - Unchained: At full Runes, the leap Stuns the Gods hit. If the leap hits a god, the Cooldown is halved.

Guan Yu

Revert this nerf

Izanami

1st Ability - Sickle Storm: Sickle Storm now reduces the cooldown 0.5 for every basic hit while Sickle Storm is activated. You'll see the cooldown after the steroid is complete/ability goes on cooldown.

3rd Ability - Fade Away: Cooldown reduced from 20/19/18/17/16s -> 16s at all ranks.

Janus

2nd Ability - Unstable Vortex: Hitting enemies with both portals with now reduce the cooldown of Portal by 2s.

Ra

3rd Ability - Solar Blessing: This ability no longer provides protections.

Ultimate - Searing Pain: Cooldown increased from 70/65/60/55/50 -> 75/70/65/60/55

Rama

1st Ability - Astral Strike: Bonus damage decreased from 15/25/35/45/55 -> 10/20/30/40/50

Serqet

1st Ability - Deathbane: Cooldown increased from 10s -> 12s

Terra

3rd Ability - Monolith: Decrease the radius from 30 -> 25

Ultimate - Terra's Blessing: Change the CDR statistic to CCR.

Xbalanque

3rd Ability - Rising Jaguar: Xbalanque is given the Chang'e treatment. He's now fully immune to crowd control during the duration of this ability.

Ultimate - Darkest of Nights: Xbalanque now doubles the current power gain only by his passive while his ult is running. Therefore, if he has 5 power from his passive he'll get 5 more while his ult is activated temporarily/for the duration of his ult.

Edit: Must've been pretty good chances since this thread didn't completely go to hell over some tweaks/buffs. This is Reddit so I'm astonished that the majority of people actually had constructive criticism so far. Thanks for the ideas, & support <3

Edit 2: Again, if you're interested why I made/thought of any of these changes feel free to ask. It'll most likely be some in-depth answer since I've thought of lots of possibilities.

Edit 3: It's been fun /r/Smite. I'll be heading off for tonight. Guess we'll see the changes tomorrow. Feel free to suggest, & comment stuff below. :-)

I follow so many pros on twitter that seeing all their posts is getting me even more hyped.

But anyways what gods do you think will surprise us and do better than expected?

Or what player or teams do you think are going to surprise us? If you think there will be any surprises anyways.

Also any predictions for DreamHack?

Bring back #Ah Puch Raise Awareness

Posted: 11 Jul 2017 07:32 PM PDT

The last time Ah Puch was buffed, was during 2016 October's Ah Puch Raise Awareness month, where an infamous reddit user created a month to raise awareness for Ah Puch. And HI REZ RESPONDED.

It is time to recreate that month, to Raise Awareness for our walking dead undead zombie. Perhaps 11 days late, and almost THREE MONTHS EARLIER.

Summer of Smite! Bacchus skin!

Hel is pretty good, here's how I build her!

Posted: 11 Jul 2017 03:40 PM PDT

I've been having a lot of fun playing Hel in ranked as a midlaner, and in casuals as a Jungler.

She's actually pretty good, bordering on viable. I think Hirez are wary of buffing her because she is very easy to break and they are (rightfully) scared of another healing meta.

My builds for her:

START : Sands + Mana chalice + 2 mana pots + boots 1

CORE : CDR Boots -> Book of Thoth (Mid) || Bancrofts Talon (Jungle) -> Shield of Regrowth

SITUATIONAL: Rod of Asclepius, Chronos Pendant, Obsidian Shard, Spear of Desolation, Rod of Tahuti

You basically want to max your CDR if possible, and level your 1 first since you can literally spam it every 3 seconds at max CD (read: Insane heals in teamfights/objectives and really crazy poke early).

The reason for Shield of Regrowth is that your 3 combined with the passive makes it a legitimate escape ability (~580 movement speed with boots, 610 with speed buff)

Example build (Mid): Sands -> CDR boots -> Thoth -> Shield of Regrowth -> Spear of Deso -> Tahuti -> Sell Sands for Pythags piece

Example build (Jungle): Sands + Bumbas -> CDR boots -> Bancrofts -> SoR -> Rod of Ascl -> (sell sands) Chronos Pendant -> Shard

Example build (Solo): Sands -> Silver Breastplate -> Warlock's Sash -> Silver Breastplate into Breast of Val -> SoR -> Void Stone -> Rod of Ascl -> Pythags

Example Build (Supp): Watcher's Gift -> Sands -> Jade Emperors Crown -> Void Stone -> Pythags Piece -> Rod of Asc -> Spirit Robe -> Aura Item

I would probably only play her in support and solo when you have a warrior jungle and guardian in the other role of the two, at the moment.

Anyone got any other things I could try/suggestions?

What causes a match to persist long after the Victory/Defeat screen?

Posted: 11 Jul 2017 07:44 AM PDT

It's probably a really rare occurrence, but I was in an arena game and the enemy had 1 DC, I don't know if that's what caused it, but atleast I got Goodwill back from that match, it may have even been a client side bug.

Is Hi-Rez ever going to fix Twitch rewards?

Posted: 11 Jul 2017 04:59 AM PDT

So i regularly watch Smite streamers on Twitch for maybe 2-3 hours a day, and i watch all Hi-Rez broadcasts and have never gotten a reward since they changed from the old system of putting codes on screen during games - which i much preferred. In my experience some people get some form of reward once or twice every few streams whilst others like myself get nothing ever. Seems to me that this is an obvious problem/glitch. Has any1 else got this problem? I have even put in a support ticket to check if my account was linked properly and it was :(

[GOD CONCEPT] Laelaps/Teumessian Fox - The Paradoxical Hunt

Posted: 11 Jul 2017 09:38 AM PDT

Class: Assassin
Pantheon: Greek
Type: Melee, Physical
Pros: High Single Target Damage, High Mobility
Difficulty: Hard

Lore: Laelaps and the Teumessian Fox are a greek paradox. Laelaps is a giant hound that was destined to always hunt it's target. On the other hand, the Teumessian Fox is a giant fox that was destined to always elude it's hunter. Laelaps was sent to hunt to the Teumessian Fox after it had ravaged the land of Thebes, however, once Zeus noticed the contradictory nature of these two creatures and their futile, eternal battle, he turned them both to stone, settling the feud immediately.

Description:
Laelaps *Credit to the author, not me

The Teumessian Fox *Credit to the author, not me

  • Laelaps and the Teumessian Fox join each other simultaneously in battle, side-by-side, each with separate health bars but shared mana and cooldowns.
  • If Laelaps basic attacks, she retreats behind the Teumessian Fox after she strikes. If the Teumessian Fox basic attacks, he retreats behind Laelaps after he strikes. Which ever creature is "in the front" will have it's ultimate ability cast when pressed.
  • ----->NOTE<-----: Anytime I say "Laelaps/Teumesian Fox", I am referring to the ENTIRE character/duo as a whole. If I refer to Laelaps OR Teumessian Fox individually, I'm only addressing that single entity.

Passive - The Nature of the Hunt

  • Every 60 seconds, one enemy god that is the furthest from Laelaps/Teumessian Fox is marked as prey, revealing their location and stealth for the duration. Laelaps/Teumessian Fox gains 40% movement speed while within 120 units of their target. If the marked enemy dies, a new target is found and the refresh timer is reset.

Ability I - Feast

  • Laelaps chomps in a small cone in front of her dealing damage to all enemies. Enemies that die by this strike increase Laelaps/Teumessian Fox's physical power and lower the cooldown by 1 second. Enemy gods that die by this strike grant 3 stacks. This effect can stack up to 3 times.

Damage: 40/90/140/210/260 (+80% of your physical power)
Physical Power Buff: 10/15/20/25/30
Physical Power Duration: 5s
Range: 20 units
Cooldown: 6 seconds
Cost: 25/30/35/40/45 mana

Ability II - Double Swipe

  • Laelaps/Teumessian Fox both dash and lash out in front of them, each striking the first enemy they hit. Each hit applies bleed damage for 5 seconds and may trigger item effects for basic attacks.

Damage per hit: 50/80/110/140/170 (+40% of your physical power)
Bleed Damage per second: 5 (+5% of your physical power)
Cooldown: 20/19/18/17/16s
Cost: 70 mana

Ability III - Wreak Havoc

  • The Teumessian Fox roars, fearing all nearby enemies. Enemy gods that are feared are marked by The Nature of the Hunt for 5 seconds. The movement speed effect of The Nature of the Hunt is increased for each enemy god feared during the duration.

Fear Duration: 1s
Range: 17/19/21/23/25
Movement Speed Increase per enemy: +6/7/8/9/10%
Cooldown: 20/19/18/17/16s
Cost: 70 mana

Ultimate - Broken Paradox

  • An ultimate ability is cast depending on which creature is "in front" (see Notes/Edits/Clarifications at the bottom). When either creature's health reaches 0, the opposite creature's ultimate ability is automatically refreshed and casted.

  • Undying Pursuit: - Laelaps/Teumessian Fox gains 60/70/80/90/100% lifesteal on their abilities on the last enemy god that dealt damage to Laelaps. If Laelaps' health reaches 0, she is instead granted 1/1.75/2.5/3.25/4 seconds of invulnerability where she may act freely. When the invulnerability ends, Laelaps is executed.

  • Critical Evasion: The Teumessian Fox gains a 10/20/30/40/50% chance to avoid any incoming damage for 5 seconds. If Laelaps is dead, this chance becomes 100%.

Cost: 80/85/90/95/100
Cooldown: 90s

Notes/Edits/Clarifications:
* Laelaps and the Teumessian Fox join each other simultaneously in battle, each with separate health bars but shared mana and cooldowns.
* If Laelaps basic attacks, she retreats behind the Teumessian Fox after she strikes. If the Teumessian Fox basic attacks, he retreats behind Laelaps after he strikes. Which ever creature is "in the front" will have it's ultimate ability cast when pressed.
* If a creature's health (Laelaps or Teumessian Fox) reaches 0, it provides 50% exp and gold to the killer and is banished until the corresponding Laelaps/Teumessian Fox returns to the fountain. "First blood" bonuses still apply normally.
* If Laelaps is dead, Feast cannot be casted. Also, Double Swipe only hits once.
* Likewise, If The Teumessian Fox is dead, Wreak Havoc cannot be casted. Also, Double Swipe only hits once.
* If both creatures die, death cooldowns apply normally.

I'm not too worried about damage/cooldown numbers at the time, those can be tweaked. I just want to get the concept out at the moment and adjust the numbers later to something more suitable.

This deity is meant to be an early game assassin with VERY high damage similar to Fenrir and Serqet. However, they have a unique form of sustainability due to separate health bars and diminished death penalties. The way this assassin plays is very true to the lore in that Laelaps wants to GO IN and get the kill by any means (hence the ultimate), and after the hunt is successful, The Teumessian Fox wants to GET OUT and escape by any means.

Hope you enjoy!

Bakasura Buff concept

Posted: 11 Jul 2017 08:49 PM PDT

Bakasura Buff

Please no hate, I'm just throwing out ideas. There's nothing wrong with trying and worst comes to worst the suggestion isn't considered by Hirez(If they even read this lmao). If you like a certain concept but not the scaling, please feel free to suggest how the ability should be scaled and comment on what you would like to be changed about Bakasura. If you don't like anything that I said at all....well, sorry that I'm bad.

Bakasura isn't really a strong jungler right now in Conquest compared to others so I decided to think up some suggestion to buff. There is controversy over him because of how he crushes in casuals and for his reputation as being very powerful in duel so I took that into consideration.

Reworked Passive: Insatiable Hunger Instead of a ten second buff, whenever Bakasura kills an opponent, he gains a permanent movement speed(and possibly power) buff where it can stack five times and increases his movement speed by 4% for every kill(Max 20%). When he gets full stacks, his abilities gain an additional effect when used. This additional effect can only occur once every 15 (20?) seconds. (For the Power buff, he could gain max 30 or 35 power with an 6/7 increase per stack).

Take Down: For the additional effect, Bakasura can jump twice, his jump does only ¾ of the damage and his protection debuff does not go through.

Eat Minion: (I wish it was given a cooler name) For the additional effect, after Bakasura eats a minion, he can regurgitate and throw his minion, similar to Kumbhakarna's 2, that deals 120/150/180/210/240 + 60% of your Physical Power. The minion can go through minions, stops at the first god hit, and slows the god hit for 20%

Butcher Blades: For the additional effect, when Bakasura activates this ability, he instead gains 15/20/30/40/50 Physical Power OR when Bakasura activates this ability, he gains a 25% attack speed buff.

Regurgitate: For the additional effect, when Bakasura activates this ability, enemies that are in the target location receive a 30% healing debuff.
