Joining the /r/Smite frontlines are some familiar users: the beloved /u/NcUltimate and some rando /u/beatlesboy67! NcUltimate and I are eager to join the team and to help out in any way we can. | Can we get old Raijin back, please? Posted: 24 Jul 2017 07:32 AM PDT Listen, I don't know what kind of ... substances ... you used when you thought about this but Raijin is in a worse state than before. Which is, by itself, a pretty big achievement (in the BAD way). He has shitty burst, his 2 is a joke (and don't pretend the slow will do shi, 15% is useless and gets so easily countered it's not even funny) is 3 isn't immune anymore (which I can understand, it was unfair) and his ult is just as shitty if not even more shitty than before. He not only is still a sitting duck, but he somehow does less damage or something? Why?! Let's just forget about this (old passive was way better than this... thing) and go back to 4.12 Raijin. So when you choose to play Aphrodite support when our mid already locked in Hel, you're going to get called out. When support is the only role left over and you decide to lock in a hunter cuz you didn't get your call and you "just don't like playing support" you're going to get called out. This is a team game, and doing whatever you feel like without giving a second thought about your teammates makes you a scumbag, casuals or not. [link] [comments]  |

| Posted: 24 Jul 2017 03:53 PM PDT In my opinion, one of the worst and most annoying mistakes HiRez developers make when buffing/nerfing a god is how much they over correct. Like when an ability based god is op they nerf the damage, the range, the cc, increase mana costs on every ability making them absolutely useless. When they just need to change one or two abilities that way the god still has strong abilities and isn't completely trash. Best example being Ratatoskr, when he was first released he was op af, they nerfed him into a joke, reworked him making him op again, then nerfed him back to trash. HiRez needs to just actually tweek and think about the god and his/her kit and combos and make subtle nerfs/buffs to go from trash to good or op to good, instead of going from op to trash and vice versa. So I know this isn't the typical Reddit post, but as someone who met their SO through Smite, I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience and how you met :) I [21 F] met my gf [18 F] a few months ago when we got matched up in a Curse call while playing Conquest. I'd been drinking with friends all afternoon & was taking break to play some Smite with a clan mate before drinking later that night. As someone who never drinks or uses profanity (guilty as charged) she later admitted to being incredibly turned off by me, as I attempted to kill steal as Xing support all game (she was playing Thanatos jungle), but I knew I was attracted to her from the moment we met. Needless to say, I persisted and I've never felt so lucky to call someone mine. And the best part is that since we met through Smite, I never have to choose between her and the game, because we can play together~ I know these kinds of stories are less common when it comes to MOBAs, but I'm curious to hear if anyone else has had any success meeting someone through Smite.
