I know that I'm not the only one who plays this game that is struggling for stardust right now. The raids update has made it to where we are all FINALLY getting pokemon with the move sets we have always wanted. This is fantastic, but now it leads to a very new struggle. This struggle is having all these pokemon that are max worthy, but having no stardust to do it.

Hopefully a stardust berry, or anything else Niantic could think of, can be released to help alleviate this issue.

(Just saying replace the nanab, because afaik it isn't used at all.)

Edit: A lot of comments are saying, why not just add a berry instead of replacing nanab. The reason I said to replace is because, I know there are a ton of people who do not want to see tons of new items added that require you to stack them up. This is simply because, people do not like to be forced to pay for things (more bag space in this instance). Also, because imo the nanab is very useless. Many people are saying that it isn't useless because it is the best to feed gyms with. However, that logic only works because it is the worst berry in the first place, therefore it is the best for gyms lol. The actual best berry for gyms is the golden razz.

Legitimate player banned through reports of banther

Hello everyone, this is some sort of open letter,

my game name is Weissener I am a lvl 40 blue player from the city of Utrecht, the Netherlands. I am new here and read the rules, now just hoping that what I am gonna tell you is allowed. I've met a fair share of players over the past year and enjoyed having contact with most of them even outside my own city. Also (didn't) meet a lot of spoofers, but I'll get to that later.

Tonight after downing a Tyranitar raid boss and cycling home I received texts of one of my new friends I met this last year. Another lvl 40 player from a smaller city (IJsselstein) a few cities over from Utrecht.

This guy has been quite lonesome in his blue endouvours in his city for a group of red players were controlling the place. But he's a persistent guy and would just make a night out of sitting at a gym taking it back untill they'd leave it alone. He ended up getting help from a group of player from the town in between our cities turning his city blue.

This is where herrassment towards him started, the group of red players turned to spoofing and bots (confirmed from the horses mouth, but ofcourse no proove, I realise that) to take down every single gym he was in on a daily basis. At the same time they started reporting him for indecent behaviour. Nobody who has played with this guy and/or met this guy will be able to believe that since he's a nice and honest player who has a job and loves to play PoGo in the evening.

So at some point he started getting mails from Niantic saying he had been reported multiple times for indecent behaviour and requesting him to stop that. He would reply kindly that this in no way is true and the above mentioned.

But this weekend Niantic decided they had proove of him violoating the terms of agreement and that his account was put on hold.

28th of June "Trainer,

We have confirmed that you have broken the Pokémon GO Terms of Service and the Pokémon GO Trainer guidelines [[insert offense here]]. As a result, we've put a hold on your account.

Please respond to this email confirming you received it, and that you understand the Pokémon GO Terms of Service and Pokémon GO Trainer guidelines. Once you've done this, we'll reactivate your account in the next several days. You'll be notified via email when your account has been reinstated. <removed name> Niantic Support"

Notice how here is mentioned that after following their instructions that his account would be reinstated. He replied to this mail saying that he's an honest player who invested a lot of time and a fair amount of money in this game and who is being herrassed by banther through reports.

28th of June Firstreply: "Dear Sir,

I'm shocked. I'm an honest player. I am not using any third party apps, no use of bots and I'm no spoofer. I have invested a fair ammount of money into the game.

I play fair and I have always respected the trainer guide lines. Many players can confirm this and are positive on my behalf.

There have been false reports concerning my account. These players are jealous and are making plans among many players to report me. I only take down gyms, game-wise. They try to get me banned and try to bully me. I dont know the content of these reports. But I do know that I have never violated the terms of service and guidelines. Can you inform me what these reports or violiations are about, because I honestly have no idea.

I hope you understand it makes me sad that other players are putting in false reports, are bullying me and that I am confronted with these negative effects

I understand the terms of services and respect every player playing this game. I hope you can reactivate my account and that you will take notice of my side of the story. Please Niantic, I'm really loving the game!

Yours sincerely <Name and info removed>"

30th of June Second reply: "Dear Sir,

I would really like to know if and especially when my account will be reinstated. I also like to know the exact reason why this measure is taken. I have always respected the pokemon go trainer guidelines and have not broken the pokemon go terms. I think it's of the reports that are coming in concerning my account. For that, I will refer to my previous e-mail (see below). I love the game and have been playing it since the beginning. I'm really disappointed that this measure is taken, and I hope that we can talk about preventing this in the feature; because these players won't stop falsely reporting me. Many trainer can confirm that I'm a legit and very active, enthousiastic player.

Yours Sincerely <Info removed>"

In reply to this he got an e-mail that they confirmed him violating the terms of agreement (but never said what they think they confirmed he did) and that his account was terminated. Eventhough he followed the instructions in the first e-mail which should have gotten his account reinstated.

3rd of July "Hello,

We've reviewed your account and confirmed you have broken the Pokémon GO Terms of Service and the Trainer Guidelines. As a result, your account has been terminated.

If you would like to appeal this decision, you may submit an account review contact form.

Thank you, Patrick Niantic Support <Name removed>"

I know he's done an appeal and actually several other people appealed for him with no result, but he did not sent me copies of these appeals so I can not quote them.

But this sucks ofcourse and I actually feel for the guy and that's why I made an account here to be able to make this post. But what frustrates and scares me on a personal level is that appearently a legit player who has never had any warning for 3rd party software (since he never used any), never had a shadowban (since he never spoofed, botted or used any third party software) can get a perm ban. And at the same time my city alone (and I assume worldwide) is dealing with a huge amount of spoofers and multi-spoofers. The latter especially must have received thouzands of reports with screenshots and I know even video's have been put up on youtube. And all of these spoofers are still around, they might have 200 pokemon with stripes through them, but they're still as active as can be. So to me it's unthinkable that a legit and active player who never cheated in any way, shape or form can get a ban while all these spoofers are still around.

So I read I can't put people up against something or somebody and that's also not my attention, but at the same time I am looking for the people and hope that with this post I can reach Niantic in an effort to get my friend his account back.

I can get a lot of player names to vouch for this guy, but again I am not sure I am allowed to. More importantly it will be more valuable if they do themselves instead of me just mentioning them.

Someone asked over at r/theydidthemath how tall the PokeGO trainer was. I did some pixel measurements and here's the math.

I solved it, and here is the math.

I began by making Charmander my buddy Pokémon.

Charmander's ingame height according to his Pokédex entry reports that he is 0.6 meters tall, or 60 centimeters tall.

Once in the buddy screen (which is the most reliable because it shows Charmander next to your trainer), I counted the pixels that make up Charmander's height. The result was 264 pixels.

The next step was to determine how many centimeters are in 1 pixel. I divided 60 by 264 to get about 0.26 cm per pixel.

I then counted the pixels that make up my trainer's height (including hair and shoes). The result was 413 pixels.

Now that I know how many centimeters are in one pixel, I simply multiplied 0.26 by 413, and got a total of about 107 cm.

This means that your trainer is about 107 cm tall or 3' 6". This falls into the average height range of a 5 year old.

According to the anime, you must be 10 years old to get a Pokémon license. This either means you're a liar, or just a very short 10 year old!

Please correct me if I'm wrong, I only just got out of 6th grade, so these calculations might not be accurate XD

Battery drain has increased since the v0.61 update, and with v0.67 is worse

Hi everyone, I've noticed that since the update 0.61 the game has been draning battery much faster than before. I remember this happening before and then being fixed, but it seems that the problem is back again. I own a Galaxy S7 (G930F) and I was used to be able to play for at least 4-4.5 hours (using go plus from time to time and turning off my phone screen while walking through areas without pokestops), but with the last updates I can not even reach the 2.5 hours of playing and that will dramatically decrease if I decide to fight in gyms (and/or raids)

Niantic seems to have acknowledged the issue as stated in their "Known issues" page, but I wanted to know how much people is facing the same issue and with which phones

[Idea] Unlimited lobby timer until someone else joins

I don't know about you guys but I find it kinda annoying having to quit and restart the lobby every 2 minutes when waiting for other people to show up, IMO until someone else actually joins, the lobby timer should be whatever time is remaining on the raid until at least another person joins, or give players the option to 'ready' up so it doesn't start until you've got as many people as you want.

I've been to two level 4 raids so far where nobody has turned up for the full hour, so I had to quit and rejoin 30 times
