New: Shadow-Bans If you have ever used a third-party service (such as an IV checker) that required you to log into your Pokemon Go account, and/or you have ever received a warning message about unauthorized access, you may have recently been "shadow-banned". You can still play the game like normally, but only common Pokemon will show up and you will not see "rare" spawns while others will. You will need to remove any such services, revoke their authorizations, change your password, etc. Roughly a week after doing so, people have reported the shadow-bans being lifted for legitimate players.
New in 0.59.1 The Pokédex displays genders for Pokémon you have caught, if applicable. However, code for genders was only added sometime in December/January. Any Pokémon caught/evolved prior to that will have a (randomly assigned?) gender in the Inventory, but will not properly display the gender in the Pokédex.
Sometimes while the game is loading it will get stuck on a white screen. This seems to be due to an anti-bot "Captcha" screen that didn't load correctly, and can usually be fixed by restarting the app.
There is a bug with the GPS not connecting properly, which results in nearby Pokémon spawns disappearing for a few minutes.
The game will randomly crash sometimes. Having the most updated version of the app and the most updated version of your operating system tends to minimize this, but it still happens.
There are graphical glitches sometimes where a Pokémon will spawn as a "miniature" version of itself. If you restart the app and are still close enough, it should reappear normally and be clickable.
There is a bug sometimes while battling a gym if you don't have a great connection. If you dodge an attack that would otherwise kill you, sometimes the game won't register the dodge and your Pokémon will "faint". Then the game will sync with the server and undo the damage that you dodged, but your Pokémon still shows as fainted and you can't actually attack.
If phone time is not set to Automatic, Incense and Lures may not work properly. Fix this by setting time to Automatic (in your phone's Time/Date settings)

To keep it short.. I am happy for the ones who has their group and already has caught their legendaries but what about the thousands of rural players?? At least give us some hope for obtaining a legendary niantic.. I know it wont happen but what are your thoughts ?? 0.01% chance of getting legendary 25km eggs from pokestops...?

Today was one of the best PoGo days since release

It's been a long time since I've had this much fun with the game and been this excited as today. Walking around town looking for legendaries with beautiful weather, meeting a lot of nice people also playing the game and catching 2 Articunos. Everyone I met today playing the game was happy and for the first time in a looong time not ashamed of playing the game.

As a follow up to the fiasco of yesterday this was a 180 degree turnaround and I've got high hopes for the future of the game. Thanks for being awesome fellow Pokémon Go players!

EDIT: Glad to see so many of you felt the same way! I tried responding to most of you but this post blew up a lot bigger than I anticipated so unless I get some time over today don't expect any long written responses. Happy hunting everyone!

You guys ready for this? It's so simple. SCALE THE RAID TO THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE AVAILABLE. My god, the simplicity. B-B-But Springheeljac you say, people will solo it. Oh god no, not that, I remember back in Red and Blue when it took 40 of us to take out Mewtw...wait no that never happened. It was just me. Just like literally every other Pokemon game.

Making Legendaries raid specific is about the dumbest, most exclusionary thing Niantic has done so far. Hey rural players spend gas/bus money to travel to a larger city to get a chance to watch legendaries run from you regardless of the number of excellent curve balls you throw with golden raspberries! Enjoy wasting hundreds of revives and potions as you fail to beat it the first couple of times because the game has thrown half the group out and they're struggling to get in. Marvel as lower level players, new to the game somehow manage to catch it with their first ball after being carried through the raid! Spend LOTS of money on raid passes so you can experience this magical feeling over and over again, because remember everyone we're barely keeping the lights on here with the literal millions we're making at Niantic.
