- I'm pretty sure I've caught more Pokemon in PoGo than in every other Pokemon game I've ever played combined.
- PSA/Bug : If you joined a raid with less than 3 minutes left, DO NOT press abandon to heal your pokémon. You will get kicked from the raid and not be able to go back in. (X-post /r/TheSilphRoad)

| Posted: 13 Jul 2017 10:16 AM PDT Yesterday I made this mobile friendly raid boss field guide for my girlfriend and I shared it with you too. Your feedback was amazing and some of you had some requests for more graphics. So I took some time to build a few different charts to better match your raiding needs :) I hope you'll find them useful. Quick notes * I didn't do one for Level 1 raids, sorry. * Of course the Legendaries one is only speculation so don't hold me to it in the future :) * I will update these if any mistakes are reported and if Niantic adds some more Pokémon in the raid boss pool. * CP range is only accurate for level 20+ players Credits * Data was pulled from pokemongo.gamepress.gg and pokebattler.com * Sprites are from bisafans.de [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 13 Jul 2017 10:27 AM PDT I'm up to 4,300+ captured in Pokemon Go. I'm pretty sure the (virtual) indigenous life is endangered at this point from all these idiot trainers. [link] [comments] | ||

| Feeding a Golden Razzberry to a defender should award more stardust Posted: 12 Jul 2017 07:43 PM PDT You cant get them for free from Pokestops and you can only use one Golden Razzberry per defender. In other words, you can either get only 20 stardust per defender by using a Golden Razzberry or get upwards of 100 stardurst per defender by using multiple regular berries. You see what I mean? Not only that but increasing the amount of stardust awarded per Golden Razzberry will encourage more trainers to use them on defenders as well. I think 300 stardust per Golden Razzberry would be a fair amount since they can only be used once per defender and can only be obtained from Raids. [link] [comments] | ||
| Berry Badge increases berry feeding stardust Posted: 13 Jul 2017 11:08 AM PDT An idea I had while farming some stops and I got the silver berry badge. What if that badge increases the stardust from feeding berries? Start: 10 stardust per berry Bronze: 20 stardust Silver: 30(maybe 40) stardust Gold 40(maybe 60) stardust. I think this would help with the stardust starvation many of us face. Could even combine it with gym badge status for additional stardust. Thoughts? [link] [comments] | ||
| With raids being a thing now, can we get the dratini nests back? Posted: 12 Jul 2017 08:43 PM PDT With the addition of raids, everyone level 5 and up who can coordinate with a group is allowed to have the top tier pokemon: Alakazam, Machamp, Lapras, Snorlax, Tyranitar, and other niche picks like Venusaur. Dragonite has fallen in importance due to the removal of CP sorting in gyms, and fallen again due to SE outclassing STAB, diminishing the strength of neutral attackers like him. His biggest counter, Lapras, is widely available, and he suffers from the >3000 CP decay in gyms. The negative impact he had on gyms is all but gone. Machamp is already more valuable than Dragonite (being the best pick against 3 of the most dangerous level 4 raid bosses), and Machop nests still exist. Even though Dragonite is not a raid boss, with rare candies being a common reward from raids, once rare and valuable dratini candies are now trivial to obtain. The extermination of dratini nests was important when the game was young, but is now an outdated and unnecessary part of Pokemon Go. Bring back the dragons! [link] [comments] | ||
| [Complaint] Playing Pokémon Go in Australia? Make sure you don't buy coins in bulk. Posted: 13 Jul 2017 01:44 AM PDT I feel ridiculous for not noticing this sooner. Literally all bulk options for buying coins are a waste of money. Picture here. As you can see the basic coin price is about a dollar for 100. It all goes downhill after that. If you buy in bulk all you'll save is time. [link] [comments] | ||
| I Caught My First 100% IV Pokemon Ever! Posted: 13 Jul 2017 10:25 AM PDT Hey fellow trainers! I started playing Pokemon Go about two weeks ago. If you may have recalled of my Windows phone life thread. I've been playing the game and looking all over the internet to learn how Pokemon Go works since that day. I've discovered the IV system, and other many great things. The game kept getting more excited as I discover a lots of things that I didn't know about. I decided to download an app called GoIV and it's one of the simplest IV raters that does not eavesdrop on game servers. It's an overlaying app used to scan the screens to determine IV and I played with it for a bit, and then eventually became more familiar with it. Yesterday, my mom wanted to go to the mall to buy some cloths and other boring stuff. So I thought "Hey, that means I can find more pokemons in the town!" and I'm a rural player. So I went with her. I caught a bunch of pokemons on that day while my mom is busy with her shopping. I was sitting on the bench, opened my GoIV app and then went through all of recent caught pokemons. One of pokemons (CP 676 Teddiursa) screen showed "IV: 100% - 100%" and I thought "Wait.. what?" I immediately opened the GoIV's appraisal window for further refining, and it indeed came as 100% IV result! You guys probably don't care about that but I was so happy to have my first 100% IV pokemon ever! Album: http://imgur.com/a/nt01D (3 pictures) And that conclude my today's story of my pokemon life. :P [link] [comments] | ||
| [Story] A sad first for me Playing Pokémon Go Posted: 13 Jul 2017 05:24 AM PDT I'm a and have always been a big fan of both Pokémon and talking walks outside, so for me Pokémon Go has been a match made in heaven. Even though the game comes with quite a few of significant flaws it has always achieved to make my walks outside more enjoyable and meaningful for me. However, the latest update have started threatening that. As a disclaimer I will have to admit that I didn't play the game from release, and my account is linked to my google account, so I've managed to avoid the worst instabilities with the app. That being said, I think the instability with this latest update is beyond forgiveness. I really want to just enjoy the app as i'm taking my walks, but it's honestly growing so frustrating trying to play the game when so much just results with errors. Trying to interact with the new gyms is just dreadful. For the last few days I've barely been able to do anything with gyms. So many times have I been prevented from battling and taking down a gym halfway through by the game simply giving me errors every time I try to start a battle. And Raids are even worse! A lot of people are reporting all sorts of issues when battling raids, resulting in them failing to beat a raid they under better circumstances would be able to beat. At least you are given the chance of even battling the raid boss. For most days I've completely unable to even challenge the raid boss at all. I spend my raid pass and set up my attackers. I wait for the lobby timer to reach zero and for the battle to begin. My first attacker spawns in followed by the raids boss and the battle countdown starts with the big "GO" text appearing, but instead of the battle starting I just return to the gym screen with a big ERROR message at the top of the screen. When I play with friends I can't participate in group raids because I almost always gets kicked out at the beginning of the raid and forces to just watch the rest of the group successfully battle and often capture the raid boss and receive the exclusive raid loot. And it doesn't matter if they rest of the group leaves and allows me to try again. I've spend over 40 minutes trying to reenter a raid with no success. I try waiting. I try restarting the app. I try restarting my phone. I try walking closer to the gym. I try walking away from the gym and then re-enter the proximity. I try removing the game's cache and local data, signing back in on my account manually. But nothing works. I can no longer even try to enjoy the new gyms, nor can I enjoy the raids. I'm left just catching pokémon I already have and don't need, and spinning stops for items I don't need just to later simply throwing them away to make room in my already full inventory to make space to I can spin more stops without reason. I really want to enjoy this game, and despite the many flaws with this game, everything from spoofers to lack of engaging features, I have managed to really enjoy walking with the game and has encouraged me to walk a lot more than what I would do otherwise. But after this update and the unforgivable amount of errors I've started to receive whenever I try doing anything, I've started to feel that I would enjoy these walks more if I just simply closed the game instead. And feeling that way is a sad first time for me while playing pokémon Go, and a dangerous red light that I'm hoping Niantic is listening to. Please fix your game and make it enjoyable again, and don't repeat this disappointment in the future. [EDIT:] Also, another thing I've started to notice since the update that the game has begun to consume a MASSIVE amount of data. I used to be comfortable with 1GB plan, being able to play a few hours every day for at least a few hours. But since the update it has become consuming massive spikes of data. I really wish to be able to keep playing the game normally without having to upgrade my data plan to a more expensive one. [link] [comments] | ||

| How to use a low cp ditto in a gym? Posted: 13 Jul 2017 04:30 AM PDT I was pretty hyped to get a ditto, but it's cp is only 10, and I have taken to a few gym battles and as it is about to transform it dies. So any tips? [link] [comments] |
