June 28th Patch - 7 Days Later

Posted: 05 Jul 2017 01:03 PM PDT

View the previous post on Reddit here, or on HeroesHearth here. This is a transcript of my blog post on HeroesHearth. View the original here.

Hello again! After each balance patch, I've taken it upon myself to track how the balance changes have affected the Nexus. It's become something of a habit for me, and I thought it might be fun to share my data with the community.

In case you've forgotten what changed in the last patch, here's a link.

Disclaimer (please read!):

All data provided in this post was collected from Hotslogs, which is a database of player-submitted games. Data was collected between 3:45 PM and 4:15 PM EST each day, using the special filter "Last 7 Days (Current Build)" and focusing exclusively on Hero League data (with the exception of heroes like Cho'Gall, whose unique nature requires pulling data from Team League). As usual, keep in mind that my numbers may differ slightly from Hotslogs's "official" figures as the site regularly updates older information as more games are added. Therefore, our data may not match up perfectly, but it should give a generally accurate view of how the week progressed.

Here is a link to the spreadsheet with the data I've collected. The spreadsheet contains all of my original data, split into two categories: "Composite" (which represents all data across the entire week) and "Daily" (which represents data from each individual day). It also contains a number of graphs showing how each hero is performing in both win rate and popularity. If you'd prefer a summarized report, read on!

Hero Win Rate Win Rate Change Win Rate Error (95% CI) Popularity Popularity Change
Brightwing 50.4% -1.9% ±0.77% 30.2% +5.8%
D.Va 48.4% -4.7% ±1.06% 17.8% -4.5%
Dehaka 50.3% -1.2% ±0.86% 39.5% -3.0%
Genji 47.6% -0.6% ±0.81% 50.8% +0.3%
Lúcio 49.7% +2.6% ±1.11% 14.6% +1.0%
Malthael 57.2% -1.3% ±0.88% 77.2% +10.5%
Medivh 38.9% -1.0% ±2.47% 2.3% +0.2%
Probius 49.6% -1.6% ±2.67% 2.2% -0.3%
Tassadar 48.9% -3.5% ±0.95% 20.7% -4.0%
Thrall 47.4% +1.2% ±1.14% 11.1% -0.2%
Uther 52.8% -0.6% ±0.59% 67.7% 0.0%
Zeratul 45.5% 0.0% ±1.51% 7.0% -0.5%
Zul'jin 51.2% +1.0% ±1.47% 6.8% +0.6%

The seven-day analysis is below. Please note that while I try to cover all heroes, not all heroes are in need of in-depth analysis of their changes, so some heroes may have short summaries or may even be omitted entirely.

1) Brightwing's win rate has declined, but this seems largely due to a higher frequency of play. She's gone from about a 24.4% popularity rating to a 30.2% popularity rating, with less than a 1% increase in her ban rate over that same time. This means she's being played a lot more frequently than she was, which is bound to drive her win rate down somewhat. It has been increasing since the patch released, however, indicating that she has begun to recover from the initial shock of the changes. One point of interest in her statistics is her Lvl 13 talents. She's seen a slight uptick in people picking "Shield Dust" over the other talent choices, though it hasn't yielded an improved win rate for that talent. Instead, "Pixie Boost" seems to be the one talent in this tier that has improved in win rate.

2) D.Va's win rate has dropped considerably from the nerfs to her base kit, but "Hit the Nitrous" is still the top performing Lvl 1 talent. Granted, it's not as large of a margin as it used to be. Previously there was nearly an 8% gap in win rate between "Hit the Nitrous" and "Crash Course" (her worst performing talent in that tier). That gap is now closer to 5%. But that means it's still the top performing talent, which is understandable since it's still providing quite a strong burst of speed for rotating in lanes and catching up to fleeing targets.

3) Dehaka's still plenty strong, but the new "Ferocious Stalker" still might not be worth picking. "Ferocious Stalker" was previously the poorest performing talent in its tier. After the changes....it still is. Despite a nearly quadrupled pick rate, "Ferocious Stalker" remains the only talent below a 50% WR in the Lvl 13 talent tier.

4) Genji's changes were completely ineffective. This one is easiest to show using a table.

Talent Popularity for Week of 6/18 Win Rate for Week of 6/18 Popularity for Last 7 Days Win Rate for Last 7 Days
Shuriken Mastery 84.9% 48.4% 80.1% 47.8%
Dragon Claw 2.0% 42.7% 3.9% 42.3%
Dodge 43.5% 53.4% 42.6% 52.8%

I'm starting to agree with Grubby on this one. I don't think that Dodge can be reasonably balanced, and it's probably better to remove it. As for the others....Dragon Claw's still woefully weak by comparison to the massive increase in burst that Shuriken Mastery offers. Cassia's version is better because Avoidance is essentially always up, whereas Deflect sits on a 16s CD. Either the threshold needs to be significantly lower, or the damage significantly higher, or both. But the changes made were much too small.

5) Lucio is in the house again! His win rate is back up to a much healthier 49.7%, and "Up the Frequency" is now relatively even with the other two talents in its tier in terms of win rate. Their goal of bringing up "Reverse Amp" and "Bring it Together" didn't work out, though. "Rejuvenescência" is still by far the most selected talent in its tier. Still, this is overall working out very well for Lucio.

6) Malthael is still too strong. In other news, water still wet.

7) Medivh's win rate decreased, mostly because people actually dared to pick a talent other than "Master's Touch" at Lvl 7. Again, this should surprise no one.

8) Tassadar's changes were mostly ineffective, and Khaydarin Resonance still sucks. Again, easiest to show this one via table.

Talent Popularity for Week of 6/18 Win Rate for Week of 6/18 Popularity for Last 7 Days Win Rate for Last 7 Days
Khaydarin Resonance 5.5% 36.9% 7.6% 38.8%
Templar's Will 86.6% 53.2% 83.8% 50.5%
Khala's Embrace 86.9% 52.4% 84.1% 49.5%

Tassadar had pretty much a universal drop in win rates, so the nerfs don't seem to have done much. And despite yet another buff for "Khaydarin Resonance", it's still well below the other talents in its tier. Seems to me like it's time to give up on balancing "Khaydarin Resonance". I've actually lost count how many times it's been changed or nerfed since the Tassadar rework, and it's never been able to perform at the same level as his other Lvl 1 talents.

9) Thrall's buffs overcame the bug fixes, and his talents are now performing much better than they were before. Most of the talents in question are now closer in win rate to other talents of the same tier, and are being picked more often to boot. The one exception is "Wind Rush", whose changes don't seem to have done much of anything. Good changes! :SMOrc:

10) The light hasn't abandoned Uther....in fact, he's pretty much the same as he was before. Yet again, a table is the easiest way to show this. Y'all on Reddit better be thankful for all the extra work translating these tables over. ;_;

Talent Popularity for Week of 6/18 Win Rate for Week of 6/18 Popularity for Last 7 Days Win Rate for Last 7 Days
Hammer of the Lightbringer 9.5% 51.5% 12.6% 51.0%
Pursuit of Justice 12.2% 50.6% 13.0% 49.3%
Guardian of Ancient Kings 58.0% 54.3% 57.0% 53.7%
Benediction 60.0% 59.6% 60.4% 58.7%

Uther's win rate is slightly down overall, and the drops in win rates across these talents are similarly pretty small, so none of these drops seem to be indicative of their respective nerfs having a huge impact. I'm honestly glad to be proven wrong about GOAK's nerf being too extreme, though the bad news of course is that this pretty much means he's going to need a second round of nerfs if they want to have more of an impact.

11) Zul'jin is seeing more use out of "Guillotine" and "Ensnare", with the former accounting for virtually all of his win rate increase. "Guillotine" is being picked more than twice as often, and has seen about a 1.3% increase in win rate, which accounts for pretty much all of his new success. "Ensnare" has a considerably higher pick rate, but its win rate actually declined a bit because of so many new people using it for the first time.

As a closing note, I will likely be unable to do one of these posts for the upcoming Stukov patch on the 11th. I'll be on vacation in California starting in the middle of that first week, and I won't have regular access to a computer during that time. I apologize to those of you who look forward to these, but this is my first actual vacation in a very long time, so I kinda need it. I look forward to resuming this blog when I return. :)

And don't forget: My large-scale project, "2017 - A Year of HotS in Review" is still ongoing! Check out the information I've collected so far at the links below!

Can we please talk about Blizzard AI?

Posted: 05 Jul 2017 10:45 AM PDT

Every game, when the round starts, as well as every 30 or so seconds afterwards, 7 AI-Controlled "minions" walk down each lane, and feed relentlessly to towers and heroes, giving the enemy team endless amounts of EXP. I literally cannot leave Bronze because these little guys just keep feeding and feeding, I try to stay and protect them but they don't respond to my Retreat pings AT ALL. It's hard to imagine that this game could have a competitive future AT ALL if this AI isn't improved in some way.

The biggest problem in matchmaking, in my opinion, is the large amounts of unexperienced/new players that are put into the higher echelons of Hero League MMR. This is most likely due to QM seeding

Posted: 05 Jul 2017 07:48 AM PDT

Constantly, I see players with under 300 games played in Diamond and in Platinum HL. You see them first pick Illidan and dive 4v1 (I just had that this game, where we were ahead and he thought he could take on the entire team and we ended up losing, I don't blame him), they're good mechanically because they're mostly from League or DotA 2 and that's how they got their high MMR (mostly from QM seeding), but they don't have enough game sense to play with people who have 2-5k games on average. Especially since in League and Dota you CAN 4v1 and old habits die hard, and sometimes you can also 4v1 as Illidan on QM, but that type of play in Diamond HL is very rarely succesful.

I cannot overstate how much QM seeding is hurting this game's matchmaking. QM and HL, especially at Diamond should, in theory, be two totally different beasts with very different playstyles. So if you do well in QM due to a variety of reasons and jump straight into HL, you'll have a steep learning curve of 100 games with a low winrate and will negatively impact the play experience hundreds and hundreds of your teammates.

In a game like HotS, this can completely ruin the fun.

Let me know what you think!

Who else is really hoping we get a shark Greymane skin?

Posted: 05 Jul 2017 11:57 AM PDT

Based off of the new spray from the in development video. https://youtu.be/wQ4AZGwGz24

EDIT: I've had my attention brought to Dehaka shark. DO WANT. I can't wait to pick ult and have his hook hand grow into a full fin.

Shower thought: Odin's description should probably clarify that it's death also kills Tychus

Posted: 05 Jul 2017 04:23 PM PDT

After 2.0 launched and (especially new) players have tried out different heroes more freely, I've stumbled upon probably couple Tychus players who activate Odin and then come really greedy or otherwise careless and afterwards typing "Oh I die if the mech dies too". Chen's elemental pandas ult also clarifys the fact that killing all ultimate summons kills Chen too, so it seems it would be consistent for Odin to have this added as well.

[Datamined] NEW Blackheart's Bay splash art? or NEW Brawl?

Posted: 05 Jul 2017 09:21 AM PDT

I found this in PTR files

I checked this map in PTR server, but it did not change.

Is this changing Blackheart's Bay slash art? or is it a hint to new brawl? maybe... map rework?

Stukov's Massive Shove might be the ultimate counter to DK and Garden Terror

Posted: 05 Jul 2017 07:40 AM PDT

Back in the days, Diablo could Shadow Charge and Overpower the Vehicles away from your own structures.

The other better way was to waste Mighty Gust only to see them coming back in a couple seconds.

Stitches can do that too, but in order to save your structures, either Stitches needs to be alone on the enemy side of the map, or he can hook then through terrain, with the risk of the enemy team collapsing on him.

Currently Artanis' swap is a decent defense tool.

But now let's imagine Stukov defending a keep in GoT. You wait for the Garden Terror to come close, drop the pot and boom, Shove it away all the way back to one of his forts, possibly to his own keep wall.

This move could just save the keep from a late game terror, while the enemy team is left 4v5, under your keep and without any sieging tool.

It just seems cool to me.

Too cool maybe?

I could use more colors on mounts instead of Heroes.

Posted: 05 Jul 2017 01:44 AM PDT

Somebody already say that there are to many "Skins" that are just old skins with different paint.
I could use this treatment for the mount. So more of them were thematically compatible for skins.
For example the Police Hovercycle with little paint will become a ambulance Hovercycle for my Medic Dominion Uther.
So pleas Blizzard if you must pads creates with something. More mounts of color will be great.

Mana creep

Posted: 05 Jul 2017 05:22 PM PDT

This is a topic that has been slowly becoming more and more brought up, and kinda hoping to make a discussion thread that a lot of people jump into. Some people have differ from this, but from my own opinion since the release of Artanis and going forward, newer heroes really haven't been suffering from any mana problems at all compared to older heroes. Of course with the rework to Artanis and his Q prism being a thing now he does drain faster, but other then that the only hero I can find myself actually going OOM on is Li Ming, cause resets. Other than those 2 heroes I feel like some heroes get so much value for how little mana they use. a very prime example of that is Varian. after elvel 4 he has charges of invincibility that cost 15 mana, point and click charge for 45 mana and while Warbring is poop can even lower that down to like 20, Point and click stun that costs 20 mana, my Varian is level 20 and out of every game I've ever played with him, I've never been OOM once with him but Varian isn't the only one a lot of the newer heroes are like this, feels like you can always end up dying before ever going OOM as to heroes like Muradin and Kerrigan, where 2 full rotations of abilities basically already make you OOM. Kinda wonder if Blizz ever looks at ever maybe applying nerfs and increasing some mana costs on heroes or maybe having it to be something more considered to future hero releases. Though I feel like blizz partly knows, as is why a lot of the nwer heroes also don't have many or any mana return talents either like older heroes do.

Out of curiosity, does anyone actually purchase loot boxes?

Posted: 05 Jul 2017 08:31 AM PDT

Before 2.0 launched, I definitely would have been considered a whale. I bought ever new hero and bundle that came out at the time. Since then though I've only purchased gems once and that was at launch, and I don't imagine I'll ever purchase loot boxes with gems. They're great rewards when leveling up, but they just don't seem worth my money to actually spend gems on them. Even with the event going on, I don't really feel like they're worth it.

It could be the fact I've got so much unlocked already that I don't see much value in them, but I'm curious if anyone regularly does purchase them.

Some Kharazim suggestions from a monk lover!

Posted: 05 Jul 2017 09:49 AM PDT

Hello, I'm a support main (high masters, occasional GM) and Kharazim is one of my favorite heroes in the game. While I enjoy playing the pseudo assassin Iron Fists build, I would love to see some love given to his other options, as well as some better arrangement to his talent tree. So here are my theoretical patch notes for Kharazim. I'd love to hear your feedback!

Level 1:

Insight

  • Now reduces the cooldown of Ally talents as well.
  • Now gain 2 stacks for the quest when hitting enemy heroes.

Since Allies are essentially an extra basic ability, I thought this made thematic sense as well as being a buff. The extra stacks on heroes is to counteract the fact that actively avoiding fights is currently the best way to finish the Insight quest.

Transcendence

  • Every third attack now also heals Kharazim in addition to the nearest ally.

This will allow Kharazim to be more resilient in a fight, and prevent his trait from being wasted on himself even when lower health. Similar to why Uther was given the self heal portion of his Q.

Level 7:

Bliding Speed

  • Moved to level 16

Heavenly Zeal

  • Moved to level 16

Blazing Fists

  • Moved to level 16
  • Cooldown reduction reduced from .75 to .5
  • Added Functionality:
    • Deadly Reach bonus length increased from 100% to 200%

Trading the level 7 tier with 16 is not intended to be an overall buff, but to improve his chosen identity/playstyle before the lategame. There is still a large amount of synergy between the two tiers (namely WothF/Cleanse and Blinding Speed) so the power spike still exists at 16 while having a lot more of the builds "flavor" come online earlier.

Level 13

Spell Shield

  • Removed

New Talent: Spell Evasion

  • Upon taking Ability Damage, reduce that damage and further Ability Damage by 75% for 2 seconds. Every 3rd basic attack reduces the cooldown by 3 seconds. 45s cooldown.

Just wanted to get rid of the last generics, and this is a more flavorful spell shield. The numbers may be too generous though.

Level 16:

Cleansing Touch

  • Moved to level 7
  • Now also makes Kharazim unstoppable for .5 seconds.

This is to allow a short window for Kharazim to free an ally from CC without simply trading places with them.

Way of the Hundred Fists

  • Moved to level 7

Echo of Heaven

  • Moved to level 7

Dashing Light

  • Moved to Level 7

  • Renamed to Shielding Dash

    • Changed Functionality:
    • Now when dashing to a target ally, Kharazim and the target are both shielded for 6% of their total health.

Dashing Light was easily the worst talent this tier, and giving him shielding on his Q will provide an option of a Q build for supporting (when cleanse isn't needed) and added burst protection.

Level 20:

Storm Shield

  • Removed

New Talent: Heroic Allies

  • Your chosen Ally cooldown is reduced by 50% and each Ally is also upgraded specifically:
    • Spirit Ally - Increases healing to 3% and also restores 2% mana per second.
    • Earth Ally - Allied heroes also gain 25% spell armor.
    • Air Ally - Vision range is increased by 100% and allies within range gain 10% movement speed.

I love the upgrade option for Varian so I wanted to try something similar here, plus it somewhat replaces storm shield as the "aoe support talent".

Epiphany

  • Functionality Changed:
    • Activate (D) to cause your melee attacks to dash to your target and activate your trait on every hit, but you cannot use Deadly Reach or Radiant Dash for the duration. Lasts 5 seconds. 20s cooldown.

I tried to make this more useful for all builds and not just for the single WothF build that it's good for now. Preventing the use of Q and E are to keep it from compounding the power of other talents, while hopefully being good enough to use on it's own (I thought about giving him some armor for the duration, too).

[Skin / Colour Variation] - Infinite Dragonflight Chromie

Posted: 05 Jul 2017 08:34 AM PDT

http://i.imgur.com/9er3UV8.png - https://68.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m99ezbmrRF1rzr8pno1_1280.jpg

A quick mock-up I did of an 'Infinite Dragonflight' colour variation for Chromie - I'm not a great photoshopper but i think it convers the idea well enough.

It looked great on Nozdormu, so it might work aswell on Chromie; I though this could make a very simply yet thematic skin for her.

For those unfamiliar with the Infinite Dragonflight - they are basically the result of a timeline in which Nozdormu, the leader of the Bronze Dragonflight, goes mad over the knowledge of his own death - which causes him to meddle with past events in an attempt to change his future. At least thats how I understand it, time-travel shenanigans are kinda confusing.

The Rework Graph

Posted: 05 Jul 2017 02:01 PM PDT

Link to graph: http://i.imgur.com/Y72P6Kf.png

The other day I got to thinking. I already have a graph with all the heroes and their release dates, type, role, franchise, even race. Why not add in rework date? So I did. Then I made a graph of it.

The blue line shows what month/year a hero was released. Just look at the top of the blue line and follow it to the left. The vertical axis is the release date. The red line shows the first rework date. The green line shows the second rework date. I got all of my dates from https://heroespatchnotes.com. What constituted a rework? Well, a few things... first, if Blizzard used the word "rework" or "significant talent changes" then it was probably a rework. But on a more general guideline, a rework isn't just whenever abilities received nerfs/buffs or talents were removed/tweaked. For instance, there were plenty of patch days where several heroes had generic talents removed or added. There was also the case of Illidan who received a complete ability overhaul just a few months after his release. That's not really a rework, since the game was still in Technical Alpha and every single ability was replaced, and of course every talent associated with it.

No hero has actually received three reworks, and the graph is in release date order, so you can easily see how soon after a hero has been released has a rework been done. For instance, the newest hero to receive a rework is Alarak, 10 months after his release. The oldest heroes that haven't received reworks are Raynor/Sgt. Hammer/Sonya, all released on March 13, 2014. Tyrael as well has never received a rework and was released on March 28th, 2014.

Now, you might go to Tyrael's patch note page (https://heroespatchnotes.com/hero/tyrael.html) and see that on some patch days, he had a ton of changes, particularly 7-12-2016 where they talked about his talents being stagnant and needing to spruce them up. However, if you actually look at the changes, it's not a rework by any means. Most all of the changes are number tweaks in damage or cooldown. One ability was removed and two talents were swapped (Even in Death swapped with Horadric Reforging at 1 and 4).

Similarly for Sonya on 5-12-15, she received several talent updates, but the vast majority of them were just number tweaks to heal amounts, damage, movement speeds, and cooldowns. Her base kit/ability functionality and talent goals have never really changed (and maybe that's a good thing).

POLL- What Assassin do you think is the most annoying to play against?

Posted: 05 Jul 2017 11:16 AM PDT

http://www.strawpoll.me/13362837

For me, I find Genji and Zeratul really annoying to play against. I hate Genji's deflect the most since I play Tracer a lot, and have to waste a blink to get out of aa range, then another to get back. I also find Zeratul annoying because they always get vp and rekt anyone squishy late game. Zeratul also has really bad talent diversity, as the only good build has combo slash, vp seeker in the dark, and sentenced to death.

I will make a poll for specialists tomorrow! :)

Option for in-game display of Hero names

Posted: 05 Jul 2017 06:53 AM PDT

TL;DR: I (me, personally) would like an option to display Hero names instead of player names during a game. I came here to ask if this is a thing for anyone else.

Background: During intense teamfights with all effects enabled and due to the fact that different skins are much more common since 2.0, I find it sometimes difficult to identify the enemy healer, squishy, etc. Seeing the names of the heroes would help a great deal to reduce confusion.

Maybe newer players who don't know all the characters could also benefit from seeing the name of the hero on the battlefield to better learn to distinguish them and get used to the different abilities and threat potentials.

I realize that right now the Hero name identifies if there is a bot present, but I am sure this could be solved with color coding or anything similar.

Lastly I realize that this may be just me getting old and slow, so this really is an honest question. Does anyone else think this would be helpful?

Thanks for reading!

It would be nice if Stukov becomes free for anyone who purchased the Brood War Remastered.

We got him unlocked as a coop commander in SC2 instead. A very nice bonus, but I was expecting him for free in HotS

Edit: I know some dissagree with me, but I'm not complaining, just expressing my desire. Also, to be honest, I rather have him in SC2 commander (wich cost real money) instead of a HotS hero (wich I can unlock by simply doing daily quests for 2 weeks or so).

I am very happy with my purchase and have no complains

Tracer's level 13 talent "Bullet Spray" has been reduced to 30%, previously it was 40%.

Change valeera's block to evasion

Posted: 05 Jul 2017 04:37 AM PDT

I think rogue needs dodge charges like genji. Just change lvl 1 block talent to dodge. 1 charge of dodge for every combo finisher. Also rogue in wow has skill to increase dodge chance and giving 1 combo.

Edited: Dont forget one very important thing: Genji gains dodge charges every 12 sec. Valeera must fight to gain charges of block/dodge.

HotS needs heroes: A plea...

Posted: 05 Jul 2017 07:46 AM PDT

Tale of woe incoming with some optimism on the end. It's not too long, do read on.

I had a day off work yesterday, figured I'd get my placements finished, and then play a few more matches after that.

Of the seven HL games I played, one single match was actually enjoyable, didn't have flaming, didn't have arguments, didn't have insults, afkers or intentional sabotage. (For reference, won 3 out of those 7. None of those wins were the single pleasant match)

So then I went to QM expecting things to be a bit more relaxed (they usually are in QM after all) and had three games with exactly the same sort of behaviour, then a fourth with the single worst person I've run into in all my time playing HotS.

First 2 or 3 minutes of the match seemed fine, then "retard loser team", out of nowhere.

At this point, we were most definitely not behind, 1 death on each team, both of us had 15 or so gems, a few had been turned in, it was a totally normal start to a Spider Queen match.

Then I noticed the stats. The person doing the complaining had done nothing. Literally nothing. At that point they had 0 damage done. To anything. Zero deaths. Zero kills. Zero XP. (How they weren't auto-booted for not participating I don't know... does tapping the well reset the counter? Whatever, doesn't really matter)

I tried to encourage the rest of the team (really, we were actually doing pretty damn well for only 4 of us doing anything ), which naturally just made me their target from then on.

Insults, spam-pinging, flaming, you name it, they threw it.

In short: they spent 17 minutes (we put up a good fight for only 4 of us), in QM, with no rank or anything else to think of, purposefully doing everything they could to aggravate everyone else, while being as unproductive as possible.

At the end they had about 3k damage done, presumably to stop themselves being booted for afk, and 0 kills, assists... you get the idea.

So... yeah...

It's sad really. When HotS works, it's awesome, but 10 out of 11 games being miserable because of your own team-mates means it really can't be anything BUT unpleasant.

It's not always like this. Two months ago this didn't happen to anything like the extent it has over the past couple of weeks.

Now to the important bit: If you TL;DR'ed, this is the bit to read!

It's not worth blaming Blizzard, or the HotS dev team, or even the match-making or the slow actioning of reports (though this is a big part of the problem, which if any HotS devs are reading this, you really need to get some resource focused here!), the simple fact is, if something wasn't wrong, we wouldn't need to report anyone.

It's us. The players.

Sadly, I'm also sure it's mostly the players that are never likely to come to reddit and read this plea, but... for anyone who does; if you feel like being vindictive or throwing the game, because you've had a bad day, or the previous game was crap, or your dog just threw up on your bed, just... don't. Go do something else, take a break. Come back later.

We've got a great game here... and it's being ruined by us

It takes serious effort to be as much of a dick as that person in my tale above. It takes virtually no effort to be nice.

It's time to be a hero.
