I'm hoping it's a little more than a card back, since that would be very predictable. But of course, it'd be amazing to get a death knight card back.

Here's the quote during the Hearthstone wiki page:

If the player is able to defeat the final Lich King encounter with all nine classes, there will be a "special surprise" waiting for them. However, this has been described as an extremely challenging task, and it is not expected that a lot of players will be able to complete it.

I'm Talking Vol'jin, Genn Greymane, Durotan, Yrel... they could really go all out and give us the chance to play as some of our favourite heroes on azeroth.

And even within KOTFT, it'd be amazing if death knight anduin got a tyrande variant of the card, or Liadrin for Uther... etc

Why the French Jaina Hero Card Leak is probably real (based off comic evidence)

So a new Death knight Hero card was recently leaked, loosely translated as "Jaina, Frost Lich" with Battlecry: Summon a 3/6 Water Elemental. Your elementals have Lifesteal for the rest of the game.

Leak

As with any leak, the main point of discussion is whether the card is real or not. This post earlier today gave examples on how to discern whether a card is fake, the most notable being if a card has pre-existing artwork, no watermark, clear photoshopping, card text/grammar mistakes, and keywords not in bold, then the card is probably a fake.

The author, Evident, goes on to say that "I've used all of the methods above to check if the card is fake and have come up empty. The biggest argument for it being fake is the artwork. Jaina doesn't appear how she does in any of the officially released artwork for the set."

This is currently the biggest point of contention within this sub. The artwork simply does not match up with any of the promo artwork released so far.

As we can see in the leaked card, there is no purple hair, she doesn't have any of the thin, sharp, undead features of the promo, the image looks washed out and dull, and there is more focus on her ice crown.

But this changes with the release of a comic promo by Blizzard today - Undeath Conquers All

On page 6 we first see Jaina's Death Knight comic artwork: http://imgur.com/xSUzPSQ

and again on page 8, under a hood: http://imgur.com/yo4M1lZ. The comic artwork closely resembles the art in the leaked card - all with Jaina not having purple hair.

More noteworthy points about the leaked card itself being real

  • The only hero card we have officially seen - Deathstalker Rexxar - is a 6 mana card. Shouldn't a Jaina Hero card have the same mana cost?

No. Donais clearly says this. Also, in this interview, when asked about the hero cards, Donais says "they're more like the Old Gods, where you have these big expensive powerful cards in your deck like N'Zoth or Yogg-Saron, and when you draw them, it'll be a big deal." Big expensive powerful cards might validate a higher mana cost, perhaps confirming the 9 mana paladin and 10 mana warlock hero card from the leak.

  • It's a video, that shows stuff in French, from an app, with blizzards marketing style - surely that much effort is hard to fake?

most definitely. However, there have been elaborate leaks before that turned out to be fake. Credit: /u/LeoFail

  • The effect is weirdly specific and kinda crap, especially for 9 mana.

It kinda keeps in tune with most of the Mage legendaries. Also, we have not seen the hero power, which might make the card playable.

Evidence against my claims:

  • Deathstalker Rexxar has exactly the same artwork as the promo. Why?

There is a possibility that the artwork in the leak is from an older version that was made before the promo artwork. Meaning the final artwork might resemble promo. However, I don't expect the effect to change because balance changes this late would be hard, and also blizz works well in advance with expansions.

  • Comic Jaina is not yet undead because she does not have pale green skin - she just has Death Knight powers. This means the comic does not actually show an UNDEAD Jaina, who MIGHT still have pink hair in the real card art. You're so full of shit dude.

I agree. But if the same artwork was made to be undead, with pale skin and cuts on her face, it would look exactly the same as the leaked card artwork. Also, it might just be variance based off different artists.

Tldr: People say the leaked French card is not real because the artwork is different to the promo. However, the comic released by blizz has a similar artwork to the leaked card - suggesting its a real leak.

Amazon UK Coins 10000 bundle for £71

For those who can afford it and want to get a good deal on the KFT pre-order and future packs, the 10000 coins bundle is only £71 on Amazon UK atm. It was £91 for the bundle a couple of days ago so dunno how long this will last.

Using this bundle you can get the pre order for £32 and still have £55 worth of coins to spend on other packs. Basically by paying £26 more (£45 pre order plus £26 = £71 coin bundle), you get an extra £55 worth of stuff. Some food for thought.

The Frost Festival is great. Arena rewards are not.

I was as excited for this frost festival as I have been for most expansions so far because it was a chance for me to take to the arena and feel good about myself with an inflated winrate. However, after topping my previous best run in arena by reaching nine wins, I felt like I had been cheated. My reward was two common cards, 155 gold, and the pack you always get. I have fairly limited experience in Arena, but I never feel that the epic tension I feel when I queue up at higher wins is rewarded properly. Very, very few runs reach nine wins, and when the epic experience gives a profit of five gold and 55 dust it feels hollow. In my eyes, the bottom line is this: A player should not be disappointed by an exceptional arena run.

I don't know exactly how the rewards should work, but at the very least a guaranteed second pack at seven wins would be very much appreciated, as well as not being able to pull a single, non-golden common card.

So I went on to the hearthstone gamepedia to check some cards, and for some reason I ended up on Tyrande and her voice lines. Some of her unofficial voice lines included different events, some of which we've heard from previous events (such as the midsummer fire festival), and some which I've heard are from WOW. There's even a "happy birthday!" one... We've recently heard that blizzard will be doing frequent events inspired by wow, and these could potentially be part of some of them! :) Just figured I'd share! So sorry if this is already a known thing btw, I'm still a bit new to this subreddit D: Please forgive me if I've made a mistake...

We have a 4 mana, 5 mana and 6 mana conditional "gain Charge" hogs-on-motorcycles cards. Following this pattern, what conditions do you think the other cards from the rest of the mana spectrum, X mana X/X should have to gain Charge?
