I walked into Arts and Crafts this morning to see that they were making little lanterns out of mason jars. How cute! But the best part is when I see that one of my campers made a Fallout themed jar. | I love all the 3D Fallout games but would Fallout 2 be ideal for me? Posted: 29 Jul 2017 11:22 AM PDT I own all 3D Fallout games on Steam with all DLCs. I got hooked in the series at the end of 2014 by friend and i love every minute of every game, even thou i play other games now of course but sometimes i still play Fallout but i play it less and less. I have a chance to buy a Steam key in one of the legit stores in my country for a low price (converted currency not even 3 Euros) and i would really like to get hooked again into the Fallout universe but im not sure if the game is for me and if it works on never systems. I have Win 10. I know the game is more strategy and "more" about the story which i really dont mind (i love the setting of Fallout 2) Does anyone who have the game can tell me if its running with no problems on Windows 10 and if the strategy is similaro to strategy games like, lets say XCOM games? | New Vegas Character Creation Thread Posted: 29 Jul 2017 04:53 AM PDT So I have this idea for a character and I was curious if anyone else had any improvements or ideas of their own?
My general idea is to play as a guy who hates all forms of large scale governance. His view is that in this new world the people of the Mojave need to be free to determine their own fates free from the rule of Big Gov. His faction views would probably be: NCR- Hate Legion- Hate BoS- Hate (as they wish to with hold prewar tech from the people) Followers- Respect, but not love (respects that they subvert the NCR to aid the people, dislikes their pacifist tendencies) Freeside- Love Khans- Love Fiends- Dunno (although they are the epitome of anarchy they are unruly psychopaths, however they are also enemies of the NCR--> "the enemy of my enemy is my friend") Strip- Neutral (respects anti-NCR sentiment of Mr House, hates the totalitarian views of Mr House) The rest of the details are still a little hazy but I imagine my main skills would be: Speech, Explosive, Sneak, Guns maybe Survival Anyone have any suggestions or input? | How many people are actually looking forward to Fallout 4 VR? Posted: 29 Jul 2017 03:27 PM PDT For me, as someone who owns a VR system, Bethesda's VR announcements were some of the most exciting announcements at E3. I'm really looking forward to exploring the wasteland in VR, even if it is my least favourite game of the series. I feel like Fo4 is a lot more tailored and fitting to VR than 3 or NV, and I'm really excited to see how it turns out. Putting aside the common anger that it's full priced and the only Fallout announcement we got at E3, who else is excited for Fallout 4 VR and if you are, whether or not you have a VR system, what are you most excited to experience in the Fallout world in VR? | Need help with Realistic Wasteland Lightning for New Vegas. Posted: 29 Jul 2017 11:08 AM PDT Hello, If theres any experienced modder out there that could help me I would be very grateful. I recently installed RWL v5.52 and I absolutely love the day weather effect, but the nights are just pitch black and that doesnt sit well with me. I tried adding the optional file for brighter nights but it didnt work. I tried altering the brightness value in FNVEdit to the defaults of the game but that didnt work either. Could someone help me configure it correctly or provide me with a customized .esp file with the nights properly visible? I'll be really thankful. [link] [comments]  |

BNL seems to be a cross between Vault-Tec (for the "safe-havens" they provide) and Enclave (because of them wanting to fly away on a spaceship). | Mod that needs to be introduced! Posted: 29 Jul 2017 10:02 AM PDT Modular weapon damage. Now here's what I'm thinking: a mod that changes the damage a weapon does based on the target/ situation it's being used in; a change that brings it much closer to reality than currently. Almost all ballistic weapons should be a one shot to the head for basic raiders, gunners, and ghouls, as is realistic. Enemies like yao gui should be virtually unaffected by small calibers but should be 1-3 shot by larger rifles. Power armor should negate all damage of small caliber pistols(pipe pistols, 10 mm and the like) however rifles and large caliber rifles will have almost no damage reduction on them. Molotovs should do a quarter of the damage they do now. The catch is that the player also has these limitations, so even though everything can one shot you, you can one shot everything. I believe all these changes would be far more realistic and interesting, especially in a survival setting, and would keep the game fresh longer. I don't really know how energy weapons would work, because unlike ballistic weapons I don't know how they do damage per say, but I'm sure it can be worked out in a more realistic sense than is currently implemented. Currently running the MADNESS mod which triples all damage done and taken, which is a start, but some values definitely need to be tweaked/lowered/raised, like molotovs one shotting you, yao guis being killed by fists, etc. [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 28 Jul 2017 10:00 PM PDT I'm still playing my 3 int char that refuses to use mentats, and while I haven't gotten the vertibird plans yet I've done pretty much everything else - in particular, gotten the FOB, cleared the hold and installed the navcom parts. But it suddenly occurs to me that I don't know how I'm supposed to handle getting fuel or the submarine for that matter. Can I use the emperor for fuel as usual? I only need some science books to max out to 91, but my int will remain this low. And I can't possibly talk my way through the submarine. [link] [comments]  |

After browsing this sub Reddit I came across many posts where people recommended New Vegas. Having only played Fallout 4 and finishing the game twice, then fooling around with mods, I got tired of it and wanted something new. That's when I stumbled upon this sub Reddit and picked up New Vegas. I've played the game for over 36 hours over two saves. The first save I did the independent Vegas ending and found the whole game thoroughly enjoyable.
