| [VI] For the 4th of July, Devs, Please Fix Liberation Posted: 04 Jul 2017 01:16 PM PDT I really like strategic war fair when I play and often this involves liberating cities to avoid warmongering and weaken an enemy with out necessarily wanting to take care of the city. This worked as you might think it should in Civ V. Gratitude from a civ and unconditional love from a freed city state. However, in my latest game in VI, Russia attacked me a handful of turns after I brought them back to life and I lost my Suzerainship of Hong Kong 1 turn after liberation! This also forced my troops out, split my army in two and the troops who were sent forward on the front we stranded with no retreat. This not only makes no sense but also then demotivates the use of the entire game mechanic. (A game mechanic that if built right could add all kinds of fun game/roll-play aspects to the game.) I'm begin you Firaxis, for the love of Teddy Roosevelt, fix liberation and let me become the world police i was always meant to be. TL;DR There is no reason to use liberation option in current build of the game. [link] [comments] | ||

| Civ Pro Tip: If your turns are taking long to load, turn on Strategic Mode to speed it up. Posted: 04 Jul 2017 12:22 PM PDT At least for me, turning on Strategic Mode reduces the time it takes to finish a turn by a substantial amount. The little globe thing even goes a bit faster. | Civ V - What's the typical starting build for Tradition? Posted: 04 Jul 2017 02:26 PM PDT I usually go Scout > Scout > Shrine > Settler/Worker > Granary > Library. I've seen threads talking about how important building an early monument is, but with the extra culture from Tradition I'm not sure if it's worth it. What's a really solid starting build for tradition? [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 04 Jul 2017 01:55 PM PDT I cannot stand that in the Civ V scramble for Africa scenario, the Boer are classed as a Sub-Saharan nation and they lack railroads. Does anyone know how to modify the game files to fix this? [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 04 Jul 2017 07:18 PM PDT I don't know about the response time of the dev or just give XCOM 2 dlc to breath the air or not. But this situation is too quiet from me. At least let me know a glimpse or some hints that the next update going to be. Give me some hype. Look at Stellaris game director's twitter. Almost every week he will give something or just minor change. He's still let you know and you will feel the growth of progress. Example for the latest one. He's fixing the missile bugged in the game. Everyone's happy. Isn't this too hard. Is this the way that firaxis build the hype for your fan? I don't thing its works because my hype is so dry right now. [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 04 Jul 2017 12:45 PM PDT Sometimes in the middle of the game, or when I start a new one, the hotkeys (such as clicking M for move) do not work. I have to fully restart the game. It's mildly annoying and wanted to know if anyone knew of a way to fix it? [link] [comments] | ||
| Civ VI AI improvements since launch? Posted: 04 Jul 2017 06:42 PM PDT Hi all, I was a fan of Civ5 once the two expansions had been added. I was excited for Civ6 but was immediately turned off by the controversies surrounding it's launch, so decided to wait it out... A bit sad to see that months later, there are still constant steam reviews saying the game's AI is terrible, especially with warmongering etc. However, I've also found that people sometimes latch on to past issues and just join the bandwagon when it comes to reviews. My question is, how is the AI? Have these issues been fixed since launch? Is the game in a good state now? Or is the AI still a joke? Would love to know the opinion of people actually currently playing the game, especially long-term fans who have chosen to play CIV6 over the others. Thanks in advance! [link] [comments] | ||
| Why I love the religious domination strategy Posted: 03 Jul 2017 09:08 PM PDT R5: I think a lot of people disregard religion as useless, and it certainly can be, but I've started taking the Crusade belief (+10 combat strength near cities following your religion) and it is extremely powerful. While Teddy only gets +5 combat strength on his own continent, if you have a strong faith game, you can send apostles with any army you have to convert a city before waging war... This bonus is huge. Add in the Wars of Religion civic belief which gives +4 combat strength against units following a different religion and you have a massive +14 combat strength bonus against anyone you fight. From there on its simply too easy. [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 04 Jul 2017 01:57 PM PDT Hey guys. I'm playing a game of Civ 6 and have hit a game breaking snag. I started in the industrial era and have been pretty lax about getting to the religion side of things. However I just got a notification to pick my pantheon. When I click on it it tells me to pick, but gives me no options. I of course can not progress since the game forces you to pick a pantheon. Is my only solution to load an auto save? If so will that even solve the problem? [link] [comments] | ||
| [Civ 6] A scout attacked my slinger, and my slinger killed it, but i didn't get the eureka. Posted: 04 Jul 2017 01:53 PM PDT Basically i lowered a scouts health, then it attacked my slinger which killed it, but i didn't get the eureka for archery, bug? [link] [comments] | ||
| [CIV VI] This may sound silly, but is there a good civ to "support" another player? Posted: 04 Jul 2017 05:10 PM PDT I got my sister to purchase the game and we're going to play a game together vs AI, I was wondering if there would be a civilization that I should choose that would be good to support her in her endeavors? Like one that lends itself to being helpful to other civs maybe? I think she's set on playing as the USA or as India. [link] [comments] | ||

| Can someone explain religion to me in 6? Posted: 04 Jul 2017 03:24 PM PDT I have a ton of faith, built a holy site and everything, but cannot purchase a prophet to found a religion. What the hell am I missing? [link] [comments] |
