What's your massive brawl story? Posted: 09 Jun 2017 07:36 PM PDT One time, I was in Riften and I failed a pickpocket attempt. The guards wouldn't accept my yields and remained hostile, so I ran to the Thieves' Guild Cistern. About seven or eight guards followed me in and what ensued was a grand melee as my guildmates tried to hold the line at the chokepoint. It was like the League of Assassins invading the Batcave, and I was Booster Gold who started this whole mess. Even Mercer Frey joined in with his fancy dual wielding while that one guy who's always practicing archery put his training to use from the far end. But it was not enough. They knocked my people down and broke through the line, hellbent on turning my ass into troll bait. I literally sprinted a lap around the cistern while a guard chased me with a warhammer that could get me in one hit since I had Wildcat on. Eventually I made it to the Flaggon. Everyone immediately got their weapons out to join the fray going on next door, but immediately sheathed them and went back to their business. I went back into the Cistern to find it was all over with dead bodies everywhere. I fenced the dead guard loot to Tonilia and the guards were dead so the guild didn't need to pay anyone off. They let the whole thing slide. Although for a while after that, there were no guards around at night in Riften. I picked up the slack with my Khajiit claws and beat up competing thieves for their loot, and for trying to muscle into my territory. [link] [comments]

Posted: 09 Jun 2017 11:46 PM PDT I was replaying skyrim with some friends nearby and jokingly said, while passing the mead in helgen, "Why didn't they unbound me!? I want this mead!" I later returned to helgen when going elsewhere and decided to grab that mead. After seeing the name I instantly thought 'I need to be able to give this to Ralof!' I was extremely disappointed to see that you can't. I would buy a dlc to hand it to Ralof. [link] [comments]

Posted: 09 Jun 2017 07:22 PM PDT For me honestly, I would want a Races add-on pack that included all races in the Elder Scrolls series and lore. What it would Include: All known races: This would put more refugees, vendors, researchers, travelers and more into Skyrim. Shrines of all deities along with NPC versions (Especially Sithis, its unfair that Oblivion has a shrine and even a specter form of him) Buildings and Settlements of all newly included races. Clothing/armor and weapons of newly included races. also new wildlife, even if it has to be in a circus caravan for location sake. New quest's should come with this and housing. Reason for this particular add-on, it can open up more options in the creation kit for modding which will be easier for console users to have since there are many restrictions and also make it much easier for the beginning/Noob Modder to make great mods. I would love to have all plains of Oblivion open for play in the creation kit and that includes the Void for Sithis. [link] [comments]

Exploring the Lore of Skyrim - through its Literature Posted: 10 Jun 2017 02:55 AM PDT After receiving the Special Edition and decided to actually pay attention to the Literature and Lore of Skyrim whilst playing the game with a storytelling hat on. I actually found reading the book aloud made me pay more attention to the story and enjoy it more. I'm enjoying learning about the world that I have been playing in for years. [link] [comments]

Here is a fix for properly playing Skyrim above 60Hz Posted: 10 Jun 2017 06:45 AM PDT Someone on /r/GamePhysics said many people are looking for a solution to this issue so I figured I would post it here. Since the physics engine will go crazy above 60Hz, you need to put one of these in your Skyrim.ini file (in your documents folder): [HAVOK] fMaxTime=0.0133 (for 75Hz) fMaxTime=0.0111 (for 90Hz) fMaxTime=0.0083 (for 120Hz) fMaxTime=0.0069 (for 144Hz) fMaxTime=0.0042 (for 240Hz+) I've heard people say this only works properly if you can keep a solid FPS at your set refresh rate. So far I have used this solution for my 144Hz monitor. Even when my framerate drops to 100 fps I have not yet found any physics bugs after playing for 30 hours. [link] [comments]
