Posted: 02 Jun 2017 12:38 PM PDT I love the new sounds, I just think it is a little odd after a gunfight you can still hear a bunch of birds in your area very loudly. It would be cool if loud guns would quiet the birds up around the area of the shots for a certain amount of time, as they probably would have flown away had you shot near them. Anyone else notice it? Posted: 03 Jun 2017 07:35 AM PDT I know the reddit circlejerk is strong and the development process of this game has a large part to play in that but it's almost worthless right now to swim against the tide of the public opinion on this game. Just been reading a thread of PUBG and the relentless upvoting of comments battering the devs and the game is crazy. Same for the PCMR thread a couple of weeks ago. Even other EA titles and judged against DayZ as it's the most well known 'failure'. I have followed the devblogs for a long time, I understand the difficulties and the benefits of what they have been working on. I believe this process will deliver a game that is far better than the hacked version most of the community seemingly wanted. Having that conversation with people is tiring and pointless though. | 0.62 is crashing so much, its unplayable. Posted: 03 Jun 2017 06:08 AM PDT When 0.62 was released on Experimental I was able to play it with almost no crashes at all - like it was 0.61 stable. With the first big update things started to downgrade. With the second update situation got even worse. Now Dayz is unplayable. Game crashes with the usual Memory error message - Memory could not be written with a bunch of 0x00009828 strings of numbers.(Its always a different value, so i didnt bother to make a screenshot, since there are hundreds of them already) It could happen at any given moment - from the game launching logo screen to some point after managing to log into a server - but no more then 2-3 minutes of play. It happens in server browser too. I noticed that the game freezes for half a second, then it crashes. Yesterday evening i was watching a stream and i noticed that streamer's game was freezing for a moment too, but his game didnt crash like mine. I searched the net and i found similar threads opened here and there - even in the tracker. I didnt found any explanation or fix about it. I hope devs see this thread and fix the problem, but im not optimistic, because it looks like only few people are hit by this crash issue. [link] [comments]  | ||
