GUIDE: How to Reset (Restock) Beedle's Inventory - (Never "SOLD OUT" Again!)

Bummed you can't hit up your main man Beedle for some more frogs or a butterfly? Well I've got news for you!

VIDEO GUIDE: Zelda: Breath of the Wild - HOW TO RESET BEEDLE'S INVENTORY (Never "SOLD OUT" Again!)

BEEDLE

Beedle is an NPC that appears at all of the stables in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. He sells less common items that can be used for cooking or in armor upgrades. Unfortunately, his inventory is rather small. This guide alleviates that pain by being able to instantly reset his inventory whenever you like.

BEEDLE'S INVENTORY:

A super huge thank you to user /u/renegade7879 for their post Beedle's Full Inventory list for the following information.

* NOTE: I left out the arrow portion of Beedle's inventory because this won't reset unless you have under 50ish arrows in your inventory. This arrow inventory shortage unfortunately applies to all vendors, not just Beedle.

Location Inventory 1 Inventory 2 Inventory 3
Snowfield Stable Summerwing Butterfly Warm Darner Tireless Frog
Rito Stable Sunset Firefly Warm Darner Tireless Frog
Serenne Warm Darner Sunset Firefly Tireless Frog
Tabantha Bridge Summerwing Butterfly Winterwing Butterfly Thunderwing Butterfly
Woodland Stable Cold Darner Sunset Firefly Hearty Lizard
Foothill Stable Tireless Frog Hearty Lizard
Wetland Stable Hot-Footed Frog Smotherwing Butterfly Tireless Frog
South Akkala Stable Hightail Lizard Fireproof Lizard Hearty Lizard
East Akkala Stable Swift Carrot Smotherwing Butterfly Hearty Radish
Dueling Peaks Stable Restless Cricket Hot-Footed Frog Octo Balloon
Lakeside Stable Thunderwing Butterfly Hightail Lizard Tireless Frog
Highland Stable Sunset Firefly Hearty Lizard Octo Balloon
Riverside Stable Thunderwing Butterfly Electric Darner Tireless Frog
Outskirt Stable Hot-Footed Frog Restless Cricket Hearty Lizard
Gerudo Canyon Stable Winterwing Butterfly Warm Darner Hearty Lizard
Kara Kara Bazaar Summerwing Butterfly Cold Darner Tireless Frog

HOW TO RESET (RESTOCK) BEEDLE'S INVENTORY:

TL;DR: Travel far away and wait a while

  1. Separate the map into four quadrants: Upper Left, Upper Right, Bottom Left, and Bottom Right.
  2. Identify which quadrant the stable your Beedle lands in.
  3. Travel to the diagonally opposite quadrant (and as far away as possible) of the quadrant your Beedle is.
  4. Rest at a fire for greater than 24 hours. (Sit until night twice is a good rule of thumb)
  5. Fast Travel back to your Beedle.
  6. His inventory is now reset.
  7. Beedle Profits.

This method isn't a blanket reset of Beedle's inventory at all locations, but can be used to reset a targeted Beedle inventory. The principle behind this is that you need to make the game think you have been far enough away from that Beedle for a long enough period of time that he would have naturally restocked.

What are some of the quirky ways you can kill final bosses?

What am I not getting about the new & widely accepted size of the map?

Posted: 05 May 2017 08:31 AM PDT

I don't understand how we've collectively accepted that the map is only 1.5x the size of Skyrim now. Doesn't 1.5x the size of Skyrim feel a bit like an underestimate?

The redditor (noob10?) who ran across the map - and Hylia bless them for that investment - wasn't actually testing the physical size of the map. Length of travel from one side to the other at default run speed is, perhaps, the most effective way of gauging how big the world feels, but it has nothing to do with the raw miles/kilometers in the game world. Imagine an open world Sonic game* twice as big as BOTW as far as landmass goes - by this method it'd be considered much smaller than BOTW, no?

Link is about 5'4". Though he's a bit on the short side, that isn't really the point. The point is that we need to see how long it takes Link to run a certain number of feet.

A good place to do this would be Vah Rudania, as you could measure how many "links" of height there were and then shift it 90 degrees before running that set distance and timing it. Then you would simply divide the total travel time by the time it took to run, say, 100 feet, and that would be how many multiples of 100 feet the game was across.

My point is that you run much faster than a Skyrim character, and that's causing a large error in the size comparison.

Am I wrong here?

tl;dr Run speed has nothing to do with the raw square kilometers, right?

*sorry, on second thought, don't imagine that, or else Sega may end up unleashing yet another unwanted Sonic abomination upon the world

[BoTW] Looking for a Korok Seed Grid guide.

Posted: 04 May 2017 11:45 PM PDT

It was either on this subreddit or the BoTW subreddit. I saw a post separating pieces of the map into grids so it would be easier to find Koroks. I forgot the name of the post, but it's for sure not this one. The reddit post linked to a website with each individual image on what seemed like a wiki page of some sort. If anyone knows what I'm talking about, please link it to me.

'You've Met With a Terrible Fate Haven't You?' Majora's Mask thoughts, my 2nd Zelda game

Posted: 04 May 2017 11:59 PM PDT

Well, compared to the two weeks I spent on OoT, it took me just one week to finish Majoras Mask. Probably because I played for 1-2 hours straight instead of in short bursts like Ocarina. With 45+ hours on it, I can say I had fun.
Actually, no, I didn't have fun. I had a blast. Even that would be an understatement. Words can not describe how much I like this game, (IN MY OPINION) it completely trumps Ocarina of Time and is probably my favourite game of all time.
I'm more of a side quest dude and this was absolutely amazing for me. Instead of dealing with dungeons you had to help other people solve their problems. Anju and Kafei, who had been making preparations for a marriage but could not go through with them, the postman, who had an emotional struggle on wether to stay alive or follow his schedule, Romani and Cremia, who's father died, leaving them alone in their ranch, where a young girl has to try and stop an alien invasion. I actually cared for the NPCs this time! Next is one of the main themes of the game, despair and darkness. They really knocked it out of the park. The Anju and Kafei final quest, with the couple hugging each other, just waiting to die. Cremia and Romani in the milk bar on the 3rd day, with Cremia, knowing that they were going to die, finally decided to treat her sister well, allowing her to drink what was basically alcohol so shed remain oblivious to the moon. Mikau, who tried to save his girlfriends eggs, only to get absolutely wrecked. Even though you try your best to help him, he can't be saved, he can't escape death. Lastly, probably the most depressing, a young girl who has a father that was randomly transformed into a monster that she had to lock in a closet while hiding inside her house, praying that the other monsters outside would leave and that her dad would be turned back to normal.
All of these people had hope, a little bit of it, but Link helped them, even though he would have to play the Song Of Time to reset everything, those memories would still remain in his mind.
The music in this game was amazing. My expectations were pretty high since the last game had masterpieces like Gerudo Valley, Forest Temple and VS Ganondorf and Ganon, Majoras Mask matched it with amazing tracks like the boss battle theme, Stone Tower (and Temple), Great Bay Temple, Clock Town (All 3) and Final Hours. The ocarina songs where cool too, with the Song of Healing and New Wave Bossa Nova (Also the Song of Time) being the main highlights
One of the few complaints I have with this game is minigames. The shooting galleries and fishing from OoT were brought back, and I really didn't have adobo em with that, but the main two I did have problems with were the transformation mask games. I personally had no trouble with the Goron Race, and actually kind of liked it but the other two were just terrible for me. Deku Playground day 2 took me forever to do and the beaver race almost made me quit trying to 100% it.
Progression: Each time you played to SoT it wasn't a complete reset, your progress may have been reset but you still had your key items and you were slowly rising up, inching your way towards skull kid. The Gilded sword grade was awesome and I like the fact that you had to work to get the great fairy upgrades instead of handing them out for free.
Dungeons: Woodfall was pretty simple but it still served as a decent beginner dungeon, surpassing Ocarina's first three. Snowhead was incredibly confusing at first, and I had to do it twice (game crashed when I beat Goht first) but I still liked it. Speaking of Goht, he's probably my favourite MM boss (Not counting Majora himself)
Great bay temple was insane and I almost ran out of time because of the last few stray fairies. It wasn't as bad as the water temple and the I've arrow usage was really cool (pun intended).
Lastly, we have Stone Tower Temple, an amazing endgame dungeon with glorious music. I would've proffered if the Elegy of Emptiness wasn't used as much, but meh, what can ya do?
The only thing I really disliked about this dungeon was Twinmold, the red Twinmold fight in my opinion took waaaay too long and the Giant Link controls weren't the best.
Endgame: The moon dungeons were nice and provided a good challenge (I failed MULTIPLE times in all of them except for the Twinmold mini dungeon). You finally get rewarded with the final overpowered mask and you're ready to kick Majora's ass for all he's done to Termina.
Mechanics: I loved the 3 day mechanic. It added an eerie feel to the game. It was like 'good job you saved the Gorons, too bad you're gonna have to restart that in a few minutes'. Every achievement you accomplished was devalued because everyone was going to die soon and I really like that. Finally the Song of Time was used to its fullest potential. I'd like to talk about a misconception, people think that majoras mask has a time 'limit' which is jot the case at all. Think of it like a cycle, where you accomplish something each time. You spend most of your time moving time forward rather than worrying about the time limit All in all, before I add more to this reddit post that is the size of a novel, I'd like to conclude by saying that Majora's Mask is my favourite game of all time and IN MY OPINION better than Ocarina of Time.
TL;DR: game good, buy game, fun was had.
