This god is so OP every time I place my decoy and he knows it's not me. WHAT. THE. FUCK. And then when I rush deathbringer as my first item and ult him it's still alive then he kills me with basic attacks. R u fucking serious? sure I'm a few levels behind (I'm 5 and he's 12) but there should be no reason he doesn't die from a deathbringer Loki ult. He's just so bullshit, and then he can use relics like aegis to block my damage. He's already got enough in his bloated kit why let him use aegis which should be removed from his build so he can't block ults.

But you want to know the real kicker of why this god is broken??? I reported him for hacking AND HE DIDN'T GET BANNED ON THE SPOT. That's ludicrous and any company that would allow something like that is not consumer-friendly. Hi-Rez, please you have to nerf this god. Even all the prose and other forms of literature say he's OP. You never listen to your community so I don't expect you to listen now but something has to be don'e about him or Loki Mane K/D/A ratios across the board will suffer and the really skilled players will be punished by your arrogance.

Make the right choose and nerf Cernunnos and beef Loki so if he gets ulted by him he can turn back at will since Loki is a shapeshifter.

About 5 hours ago u/JnDragneel made a post about making a smite logo on r/place. When it started out a few people placed a few pixels but it quickly lost momentum.

I say we get this thing done!

Edit 1: We are nearly there and so i think we should talk about finishing touches. Maybe a border and r/Smite at the bottom? Keep it up guys :D

[God Concept] Viduus, The Exscinder (Update)

Updated concept for Viduus who I basically forgot existed for a bit.

Had to repost because of the same issue as previous times, unable to edit the post and unable to apply updates/changes.

Pros: High single-target damage.
Cons: Low team fight capabilities, low clear.


LORE

In Roman mythology, Viduus is the god said to separate the soul and body at death. He is an obscure god.

In Smite he would be a mage who performs as a jungler more than a laner, dealing damage to single targets rather than in large areas. Viduus appears as a ghostly glowing purple figure with black robes and odd skin. He has noticeably large hands that he uses to make small burst of energy in front of him that hit in a melee range, but at 16ft instead of 12ft. He has a glowing lantern that follows him. He has a ghostly echoing voice and has no attack chain.

APPEARANCE

I actually worked with /u/GrossFaceGuy on Viduus's design. From the beginning I wanted Viduus to be a phantom of some sort, but the original MSPaint art was awful and it hurt my eyes, so the other day I started redrawing him and GrossFaceGuy helped me on his design. Ultimately Viduus ended up with the same phantom look but this time with ghostly claws, a lantern, and a glowing inside.


Passive - Subjugate

  • When Viduus attacks an enemy god he steals a portion of their soul and keeps it in his lantern. Depending on the class of this god, Viduus gains a small debuff to aid him in attacking them:
    Mage: Gains 4 (+.8 per level) magical protection
    Assassin: Gains 4 (+.8 per level) physical protection
    Hunter: Reduces their attack power of enemy hit by 4 (+1 per level)
    Guardian: Gains magical penetration against that enemy by 4% (+.5% per level)
    Warrior: Reduces their health by 40 each time he hits them with a basic attack.

    The passive resets after 4s of Viduus not attacking the god.

Ability I - Reave

Ability Type: Target/Dash
Range: 40ft
AoE: 12ft

  • Passively, this ability grants Viduus 10% additional attack speed. Viduus targets the ground, splitting himself in two and reappearing at the location. If Viduus targets an enemy god he will split half of himself and half of them, causing them to both pull toward each other and meet in the middle point. The enemy takes damage upon meeting Viduus. For 4s afterwards, Viduus gains 10/15/20/25/30% additional attack speed. Both forms of the ability cannot travel through walls.

Collision Damage: 50/80/110/140/170 (+40% of your magical power)
Cost: 80
Cooldown: 13s

Ability II - Soul Raze

Ability Type: Cone
Range: 30ft
AoE: 20ft

  • Viduus siphons energy in a cone in front of him, hitting the first enemy he comes into contact with. The enemy has their soul pulled out from them which trails behind them at 25% of their normal movement speed, still following their movements. While their soul is pulled from their body Viduus is able to attack it, which deals 40/45/50/55/60% damage to the enemy god themselves. The enemy's soul is pulled out for 2/2.5/3/3.5/4s.

Siphon Damage: 50/70/90/110/130 (+35% of your magical power)
Cost: 70/75/80/85/90
Cooldown: 18/17/16/15/14s

Ability III - Subdivide

Ability Type: AoE
Range: 0ft
AoE: 25ft

  • Viduus expels power from his lantern, pulsing energy in a 25ft AoE from his body. Any enemy in the area has their soul split from them instantly and takes damage. The soul of the enemy is feared out of them and runs away from Viduus on the opposite side of where the enemy is. The enemy themselves are silenced for 2/2.25/2.5/2.75/3s. Viduus gains 10/15/20/25/30% movement speed while the enemy is silenced. If the enemy recovers their soul they are no longer silenced.

Damage: 60/90/120/150/180 (+55% of your magical power)
Cost: 70/75/80/85/90
Cooldown: 14s

Ultimate - Ephemeral Breath

Ability Type: Target/Channel
Range: 40ft
AoE: 12ft

  • Viduus targets an enemy god and begins channeling power from his lantern. For 5s he will channel, both of them being able to move, use abilities, and use basic attacks. If Viduus successfully channels for 5s he will split the enemy's soul in two, taking 10/20/30/40/50% of all of their stats, not including health and mana. This lasts for 4/4.25/4.5/4.75/5s. Viduus will not stop channeling if he suffers hard CC, he will only stop channeling if he gets 90ft away from the god.

Cost: 100
Cooldown: 90s

To all Mages, Hunters, and some Assassins: Please use Aegis & Purification Beads.

Whenever I see my Mid laner and/or ADC leave the fountain with something like Meditation or Teleport, I know you're going to have a rough game. If I'm playing Jungle or Support and I see you're a mage or hunter with Meditation, I will camp you and kill you over and over.

Your purpose is to deal lots of damage, and you can't do that if you're dead. I promise you that Beads and Aegis will save you SO MUCH MORE than Meditation ever will. Besides, Meditation scales off your health, so it's REALLY not efficient.

Emote coupons in Enigma chests

Are you also tired of getting emotes of gods you never play out of enigma chests? I got the solution.

I think we should replace the emotes with emote coupons(100% of), So your loki clap becomes the clap of your favorite god.

Its still stupid to get them, but they are at least not useless.

Of course I'm talking about Kumbhakarna.

His 3 is a huge AoE on low cool down that can reveal stealthed gods? Seriously? What's the point of even having stealth as a mechanic then?

Everything he does is some sort of CC. His ult can one shot people, and even f it doesn't it takes so long for gods to come back down the rest of the team can read a book and drink some tea while setting up for the kill.

Every time I ult him all I end up doing is activating his passive, which means he's not going to die. Even though I built attack speed and Deathbringer because those are the best things to build on Loki.

Second god that should be removed is Chiron, really. His hind parts make it hard for me to focus.

As it stands right now, when you ult into Kali as The Morrigan it's an extremely clunky process, most of the time resulting in your death since you can't use her ult to keep you alive.

Random Question: How tall ARE the gods in Smite?

I know, kind of random, but I've wondered it for a long time.

I was playing Isis and I realized one of her voicelines says her wingspan is 10ft, so I decided to measure that in XPS and use it as a tool to figure out approximately how tall they are:

As you can see, the measurements we all assume don't seem to apply if we use Isis's wingspan measurement.
So is Isis's wingspan just a joke by herself or is it actually 10ft and the minions are tinier than we thought?
I know nobody really cares most likely cause it's such a minuscule thing to talk about, but that's what I'm here for. I like to explore the things no one else cares for. I hope to get an official response from someone at some point.

EDIT: Apollo and Isis both have taunts referencing their body measurements, and according to them they are of normal height and the minions are really small.

Why can Hercules kill me in 3 abilities without pen yet I have 145 physical protections?

I have 145 physical protections. Hercules has no pen and 4/6 items are full defense items and 1 is a hybrid (shifter's shield).
I managed to take about 20% of his health yet he's taken 100% of mine.
What is Smite anymore. And no there was no level difference, I had 65 from BoV and 60+20 from Lotus Crown. The rest was damage items.

I have been playing him in masters ranked lately in the solo and mid lane. Record is 9-1 and haven't really played zhong until after his buffs. He is very safe now, can full clear by level 4, has good sustain and can box pretty much any warrior. Has a tough time with some lane bullies like chaac or tyr but otherwise can handle himself. I feel like his team fight presence is better than majority of the warriors as he's a mid to late game god with a safish early game. He can annihilate squishes while still being a bruiser. Majority of games I am in the top two player damage ranks from either team and find myself carrying teammates even if they're bad. He's even seeing some SPL play. What're your thoughts on Zhong now?
