Help, I ate the Boethiah cult

Posted: 24 Apr 2017 02:21 AM PDT

I used werewolf form to discover locations quickly and stopped to chow down on snacky moving perk points. In my enthusiasm, I ate everyone at the shrine of Boethiah. Any suggestions on how to trigger the quest line now, or have I munched my way into a Bethesda hole?

Were the similarities between Ulfric and Madanach voluntary?

Posted: 24 Apr 2017 03:04 AM PDT

So, I was dicking around the wiki, and end up on Madanach's Page, when under Personality I find this:

The "King in Rags" proves to be a strong-willed and shrewd character, totally dedicated to his cause. He is no stranger to murder, as long as he expels the Nords and regains the Reach for his fellow Forsworn. He has particular distaste for outsiders too, being hostile to the Dragonborn in their first meeting. Madanach shows absolute belief in his cause, he fully believes what he is doing is right and the Nords are evil, and that the Forsworn are the only legitimate rulers of the Reach.

Madanach shows talent for manipulation and cunning. In the shadows, he lures Thonar into a false sense of security before striking at him and Markarth, with the right agents in place. He forces the player to kill the loose end, Grisvar, who could be disloyal. Honeyed words and speeches are his specialities, as he attempts to convert the player and justify his cause. He empowers those who follow him, and seeks to win through slyness what brute force can't obtain. He fancies himself to be ruthless and cunning, although he reveals that all he really wants is the peace they had before Ulfric's attack.

Isn't that, like, THE textbook definition for Ulfric? Change Forsworns with Nords and Nords with Imperial and that's how he was presented in the game.

Is this a case of "Not so different after all"? Is the real parallel in the game Forsworns vs Stormcoloaks instead of Empire VS Storcloaks? Any Thoughts?

I asked this question once before and got some good submission but I'm once again curious as to how your dragonborns look.

Give a brief description of their background if you so choose to as well.

Alftand and its purpose.

Posted: 24 Apr 2017 05:18 AM PDT

I didn't find any discussions about this, here or otherwise. So, I wanted to start one.

Whenever you walk around Skyrim, Cyrodiil or Morrowind, you might ask yourself "why are these ruins built like this?". Because Some of them don't make sense. They are game designed ruins, not something that would actually be built with any logic.

But while on another playthrough I took this screenshot. Now, this looks eerily reminiscent of a prison booth, something like this. And as you go further in, there is a door that was knocked off the hinges from the inside.

So, I want to discuss why Alftand was built. Because from that screenshot, and the busted door it seems that it was a prison, probably to keep the Falmer inside of it. But at some point there was a prison break, even though Falmer remained to live inside it.
