Tip for installing the PTR for people with slow internet

You can copy your normal Diablo III folder to the PTR to avoid downloading 14GB of data. If you get into the beta, change your realm to Necromancer Beta Test. Choose install. Let it begin and when it starts to initialize, pause the download.

Navigate to your C:\Program Files\ drive (or whatever you use for your games), and go into your Diablo III folder. Copy everything from that folder, then go back and paste it into your Diablo III Public Test folder.

The patcher will automatically recognize which files need to be replaced/updated. It cut my download from 16GB to 2.33GB.

Does buying "Reaper Of Souls" improve gameplay experience on the original Diablo III?

Hi,

I had bought the original DIII a long time ago and havent had the opportunity to try it out yet until recently. Im wondering if buying the expansion impacts the vanilla DIII in any way? If no, I'll buy it after I finish the original story line.

Edit: I bought d3 in 2012 and never touched it since. I just bought RoS this afternoon and start playing story mode from the very beginning. Thanks for the answers. :)

I like to buy books at a local LDS thrift store, that usually has a few interesting things here and there. This time however, I've found hundreds of stuffed treasure goblin pushes. They're all identical, and all tags have been removed. They are two dollars. I am baffled. Donation? Store out of business?

Does this lock the Necromancer in for early July? I always kinda figured that the beta might run really long and that we'd see a tiny S11 PTR or perhaps no PTR at all and a no-patch season and that the Necromancer would show up in the fall for S12, but damn this is promising.

Old bug where an elite mob from the broken blade quest goes invulnerable, for some reason it's back, it's happening 100% of the time to me and i simply can't play the game.

Hi Everyone,

I'm sure this is a really stupid question, but I started playing Diablo 3 again (haven't touched it since RoS came out, and I mostly just played through the campaign and quit) and am having a good time. I started a seasonal hero and it's been cool leveling him up.

However, it's a little lonely playing by myself, and I'd like to get matched with other players. Unfortunately, I cannot seem to figure out how to join a random player's game, or have people join mine - I'm always alone.

Any advice on how to play with other people? When the game first came out I could always find a group to explore dungeons with, but now it seems much more quiet. I am on PC, if that helps.
