| Posted: 25 Apr 2017 06:22 PM PDT I was taking a bit of a break from Halo 5, life sometimes pulls you by the turkey skin. I sorta got back in the loop and tried Extermination, what can I say? This is more Breakout than Breakout ever was -- and I wanted Breakout to take off more than anything, don't get me wrong. Just never grew on me. Don't shelve this game, 343i, whatever you do. | If the Halo 6 Campaign is crap, will you still stick with Halo? Posted: 25 Apr 2017 09:07 PM PDT Personally I would feel betrayed and likely be done with Halo. After these years of constant "We're listening" statements from 343, if Halo 6 fails to tell even a remotely good story I'd be done with the series as it would tell me that no, they weren't listening, and probably never will. I hope I'm wrong and Halo 6's story does learn from 5's mistakes because I don't want to hate Halo. But I also don't want to be apart of something I used to love that now ignores me and others like me. Even after giving them several chances and being fanboyishly forgiving. [link] [comments]  | ||

| Posted: 25 Apr 2017 11:40 AM PDT Killing characters off shouldn't be a matter of "hey who do we have to make character A look better?" When a character is killed off it should benefit the story in a meaningful way. Perhaps the closure of a character's arc or a motivation for a character to go on a hero's journey. If a character is written to be killed off they should be written so from the beginning. If the characters weren't written to be killed off and now a story teller wants to, then set up the story where their death is meaningful. Logan and Force Awakens are prime examples of this. The character(s) being killed off must also have their death be meaningful in a way only their deaths could make the impact. If you can say that a character's death could've easily been replaced, then it's not a good death. Back to Star Wars, Ben Kenobi's death in A New Hope was meaningful in a way only his death could've been. Black Team had a slew of potential stories that could be told with them and their death eliminated those potential stories. Their deaths did not serve anything meaningful to the overall story, just to make the Didact look intimidating. It wasn't the closure for Black Team and it wasn't the motivation for Blue Team and the story never called for it. It's a key example of how NOT to kill off characters. [link] [comments]  | ||

I'm aware that there's no filebrowser and you have to manually go to peoples fileshares to get them, there's just no way to know who has them anymore.
